The breakfast. There's some terrible views for this feature and all I can think is they went very late in the service. Our car broke down and they left us some cake. 10/10 for lateral thinking.

Beautiful old building very pretty Very very welcoming staff, made to feel very welcome. Lovely bar with plenty of options tho very pricey cosy areas to sit Food was lovely also we had the sea food platter on the first night there room was very clean

There was nothing I didn’t like other than perhaps the rooms could do with a bit of up dating. We had a balcony which on a summers day would have been lovely to sit out on.

The room was small but adequate. Breakfast was very good value £14.95 for a full English with buffet continental, tea or coffee. This was included in the price I paid. We were there for a wedding evening do.

The bathroom could do with a little modernization. There were a couple of brown stains on the carpet, not sure if dogs had stayed in the room as next door had a couple of small dogs with them .

The room was first class : nice layout plus balcony, excellent bathroom. Staff were very helpful and approachable. We only ate-in once but we loved our meal and the staff were great in bending the ‘last orders’ for the kitchen. We will definitely stay again at the Potter’s Heron again.

We stayed for 1 night as we were visiting the nearby Lights Trail. The pub itself is modern with a fresh contemporary feel, as is the reception area of the hotel (nicely decorated for Christmas too). We were greeted by a delightful lady named Rachel who checked us in and confirmed that my requests for feather free bedding had been met. We dropped off our overnight bag and headed out to the lights. When we returned and showered and then got ready for bed, we had an issue in the room ( I won’t go into detail, because it wasn't anything that should put you off from staying), so I called Rachel who immediately, without hesitation or question, offered us another room. She checked that room had feather free bedding and escorted us there (it was just opposite our original room). We then had a peaceful night's sleep. The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean. I would only say that the photos of the hotel online are cleverly taken as the rooms are somewhat tired (clean but in need of updating, in particular the bathrooms), but due to Rachels outstanding polite and professional customer service, we would stay again if in the area. I should also add that she moved us into our new room around 10.30pm and was at breakfast at 7am ish, so she works very hard indeed. An asset to the hotel.

Great location. Welcoming and friendly staff in all departments. large car park. comfortable room and bed.

dining room and bar combined not to our liking. Too noisy and table conversation difficult. limited menu but above average meal. first class but unobtrsive table service.

Room was quiet, comfortable & well equipped with a pleasant view from the small balcony. Good parking. Bar prices.

Breakfast was super busy, staff & restaurant overwhelmed & consequently items like fresh fruit, hash browns, croissants & coffee ran out almost immediately they were replenished & that was not quickly.

Nice country hotel on the edge of the New Forest. Very attractive with Peacocks wandering around!

Only issue was Gin and Tonic being served in a pint glass. Twice. Whoever supplied this needs to get them some more glasses.

We have stayed here a couple of times previously, it is lovely place to stay and when visiting this area it is our first choice for somewhere to stay
