Beautiful green, quiet location . Very close to supermarket and only a short drive to centre of Winchester, but felt like we were right out in the country. Good location for getting out to the wider area too. The lodge was very comfortable, spacious and light with excellent facilities. I phoned up about a slight problem (which was my fault it turned out!) and found staff very friendly and helpful and dealt with the situation very promptly and efficiently.

One problem - I could have done with a curtain or something around the bath for showering. I accidentally sprayed a lot of water around, didn’t realise what I had done and thought there was a plumbing leak. After that I stuck to sitting in the bath to shower. There is a walk in shower in the other bathroom though.

The lodge was located by South Winchester golf course with easy access to a small putting green which was cute and used by the whole family. We ordered takeaway one evening and the delivery guy found us easily which surprised us. The beds were super comfy and luxurious as were the toiletries. The welcome basket on arrival was a nice touch with items for movie night snacks, hot drinks and fresh milk in the fridge! There were also helpful items such as dishwasher tablets and washing up items. The hotel is not far from Winchester City and we ventured in there until our room was ready and they called us to say it was ready early for us to occupy. It is also nicely located to pay a visit to the many trails and walks in the New Forest.

No access to a hot tub - we were one of two lodges (I believe) without one and it would have been a nice end to our day to help wind down after sightseeing and also hiking in the New Forest.

The Lodge was beautiful and had all what we needed for our stay and more. All the rooms were good sizes and the master bedroom which had on suite was huge. The beds were so comfortable and the duvets felt luxurious. The kitchen and lounge area was spacious and had all what we needed for our stay. We chose the lodge with a hot tub and I am so glad we did. The outside area had a large table and chairs and the family spent most of our time outside. We were fortunate to have lovely weather during our stay but the very small downside was the lodge inside was very hot but that was to be expected with the weather we had. Each room came with a fan so that helped. There was a little putting green on site and the whole family enjoyed playing on it. I booked two lodges and requested they were next to each other, which they were. When we arrived one lodge had a card and balloons wishing my mum a happy 70th Birthday which I mentioned when requesting the lodges being next to each other. It was a lovely surprise and very thoughtful. We stayed for 2 nights but I wish I booked a bit longer as all the family, from the youngest to eldest, plus a dog, had the most relaxing and enjoyable family time.

Such a fabulous stay. Wish we had booked longer. We stayed in a 3 bed lodge with hot tub (family of four - two teenagers, plus grandma). So much space in the living area, bedrooms all a decent size and two bathrooms. Hot tub was really hot and maintained by staff daily. Had extra fridge freezer and washing machine for those staying longer. Little putting green in the centre was an added bonus. Great location for Winchester and New Forest. Late check out also a great option on a Sunday.

Nothing really. I think our cabin had a better finish than my brother in law who was in a two bed lodge for guests with dogs. This is possibly to be expected when you have less people and a pet (smaller hot tub, leather sofas rather than fabric….)

The lodge was amazing! Lots of room, dog friendly, comfortable sofas and beds, top quality furniture, and an amazing hot tub. The lodge we stayed in was big enough for six people to stay in. It had three wonderful bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a deck accompanied with a large hot tub. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we got amazing sleep. The bathroom showers were wonderful, very strong pressure. We went in the hot tub every night. It was the perfect temperature for us and was the perfect place to stargaze. Definitely a 10/10 from us!

The location, quietness, hottub and maintenance were great. Every morning they checked the hottub and made sure it was ready to use whenever we wanted. Great and kind staff and a wonderful stay in a beautiful location. I love how the deck was closed off so our dog could roam both inside and outside without the fear of him breaking loose. Lovely bedroom and a spscey kitchen and the ability to barbeque outside.

Knocking a star off because it didn't feel as 'luxurious' as advertized. The home was crooked, and very dark. doors didn't close when they had to or banged shut when handled with care. It was a good stay, but maybe expected a bit more luxury for the price. Also the TV had terrible audio settings and the menu couldn't be accessed to change it and the road from the entrance to the home could use some care so lower cars could also access the home with ease

Great location. Easy access to city centre. Loved that there was a full range of pots, pans and dishes for cooking with, and plenty of crockery , cutlery and glasses. We had visitors and it was good to be able to accommodate them for eating. Showers were lovely and hot. Hot tub was sparkling clean (as was the lodge). Loved that we could stay on until 4pm on the day of departure - it helped us make a long weekend of the trip.

It was warm enough for our stay, but I wonder if that would be the case in colder weather? It is a big space to heat up and we did stay indoors for part of our stay as our elderly mum was feeling unwell.

Lodges were lovely. Hot tub greats. Ideal to get a bus into Winchester.

We stayed in July but it wasn't during a heat wave. Temp approx 25C. Our lodge didn't have air conditioning and it was very hot especially in the evening. We slept with the windows opened but then got eaten alive by mosquito bites (10-12 bites a night). I would come again but West Coast Scotland rules apply and would do April or October to avoid the beasties! Lol

10 minutes from town. Lovely large lodge, with comfy beds and seating area. Hot tub was lovely. The welcome basket was lovely with some local snacks included

The lodges are quite close together, so we were cautious of not making too much noise. The hot tub wasn’t filled up with more water, so by day 4, the water level was very low. The heating and hot water didn’t work the evening of our last night and the check out morning. In all fairness, we didn’t call them to help. It was very cold though!

Hot tub was lovely. The lodge was generally clean and tidy and very spacious. Parking next to the lodge was great too. The tray of treats was a nice touch and the recommendations for the afternoon tea and beauty therapist was lovely. We enjoyed our treatments very much.

Limited towels/linen. Then told we'd have to pay for more when we phoned about it. Also only the en suite had a shower, the other/main bathroom had a bath only. A shower in there over the bath would be really handy.
