The staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of choice for everyone. Almond milk was available along with soya milk too, which I was most pleased about. Cooked breakfast choices were wonderful in any combination you could think of. The chef does a brilliant poached egg. Our twin room was lovely and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The bathroom shower was so powerful and a complete luxury. The bathroom itself was nice and warm and you could control the temperature yourself, and the same for the bedroom temperature thermostat. Great tray of coffee, tea, and lovely hot chocolate, plus biscuits, all refilled every day. The reception staff kindly printed out three walks that could be done around Stockbridge. These were very helpful and were easy to follow. All in all a definite 10/10 and if we could give 14 we would do. Have already booked to go back again.

Can't think of a single thing

The staff's warm and welcoming hospitality made our stay truly special. The hotel itself has a charming blend of traditional elegance and modern comfort, with beautifully appointed rooms that were spotless and incredibly comfortable. The restaurant was another highlight, offering delicious meals made from locally sourced ingredients, and the breakfast options were paired back (which we love) and fantastic. Additionally, the hotel's location in the heart of Stockbridge made it easy to explore the surrounding countryside and local shops. Overall, it was a delightful and memorable experience.

While my stay at the Grosvenor Hotel in Stockbridge was overwhelmingly positive, if I had to mention one minor aspect, it would be that the historic nature of the building means that some areas, (top floor) are very warm and without good airflow/ air con due to it being an old building. However, this is a very small trade-off for the hotel's overall charm and character, and it didn't detract from the experience at all. In fact, it added to the authentic, cozy atmosphere of the hotel. A good quality fan is also provided.

The lovely location in the centre of a charming quintessential English small market town. The ambience of the town and its history is reflected in the beautiful hotel. As we visited over a sunny weekend, we were able to enjoy the courtyard and terrace belonging to our room. All of the staff were a credit to the hotel.

Everything was perfect other than the toilet flush in our bathroom which was very temperamental and the internet was flaky and unreliable; however we would have no hesitation in returning.

the Grosvenor was an absolute delight, in the heart of Stockbridge. Breakfast was exceptional and the garden room in which we stayed was superb. Would definitely stay here again. The garden and outside barbecue and seating areas looked so welcoming and the indoor bar had a very convivial atmosphere.

there were no plug sockets near the mirrors, so had to borrow an extension lead to use the hairdryer in front of the mirror

Though pricey, this is a very special and unique hotel to stay in. We had the hayloft suite which was exceptional. Their on site services (massage) was excellent (done by an external service provider). The interior decor overall is stunning and so English.

The staff prior to booking were not super friendly online, and at reception a bit frazzled forgetting to take us through to treatments etc. The food in the restaurant was not super special but the staff there were excellent! Overall the stay is pricey but it’s a treat! Probably not affordable for us for more than one night.

What a fantastic stay. We love the area and had stayed at the hotel many years ago long before it had a makeover. It hasn't lost any of its history and charm, and has gained from its magnificent face lift. our room was called Cannon, and had SK bed and a huge QLED TV, and beautiful soft furnishings, the bathroom had underfloor heating and a massive roll top bath for a deep soak. Breakfast was brilliant, top service in a lovely room dining room. I can't speak highly enough.

The only thing was the green emergency exit light above the room door was very bright and lit the room, as someone who likes darkness to sleep in this was a bit off putting. However I appreciate this was for our safety, and their overall fire safety info was the best I had read in a hotel.

Bed was big and very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious

All movement of people in adjoining room could be heard . Also, just past our door was a fire door. This fire door slammed shut very loudly every time someone used it. This proved to be a very annoying problem to us. As a couple in our more senior years we go to bed early and we were unable to relax .

Fantastic decor and good sized room. Staff some of the best I have met in a hotel. Lively in the bar area with great cocktails. No lift but lovely young lady receptionist was very helpful and on hand to help with heavy suitcases. Great cooked breakfast with veggie option if required.

old hotel so understandably no lift.

Ideal location, lovely historic hotel with a particularly nice outside area Breakfast and dinner excellent and our room upstairs was very good value - I though the Graden rooms were quite expensive Best bedside lighting I have ever found in a hotel

Bathrooms needed a shelf over the sink !
