The breakfast was incredible. Was included in the price and exceeded our expectations. Good portion, lots of variety and staff were very accommodating.

Everything was excellent other than the housekeeping team came in im assuming to do a clean before we stayed another night only put two clean mugs out and changed the bin and left tea stains on thr surfaces. The milks etc didn't get topped up and the bed cover had just been thrown over the bed. When we went to ask for more milk the owner came and said she'd spoken to the team member who had said she did do it all. When she clearly hadn't. Im sure this was just a mistake but id like to make the owners to know so they can better this moving forward. We will still very happy with the place though.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had the continental breakfast which included a variety of fresh and tasty food. We opted to have an evening meal in their restaurant and the food was exceptional. We recommend the king prawns for starters and the duck as a main dish. All desserts were truly scrumptious!

The lead on the hairdryer was very short and there was nowhere to plug it in near a mirror so I had to sit in the floor to use it. Also water was escaping from the rear of the shower head so that the flow from the shower head was not very strong.

This little hotel was just the ticket. We were two friends meeting to have some catch up time. The location was good to enjoy the New Forest and we were well looked after. We had everything we needed in the rooms and very comfy bed. Buffet continental breakfast was all very fresh and good quality. There was a well stocked bar and we had an excellent evening meal. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The value was excellent.

Bedrooms were on the small size but perfectly OK for our single occupancy. Some background motorway noise, but ok if window closed.

Food at breakfast and dinner was amazing. Tasty, wholesome home cooked food. Staff were all fantastic. Room was comfortable. Would stay again. Great location with easy parking.

Nothing we didn't like. Perhaps some suggestions for sprucing up the interior and exterior of the place. Probably limited options for doing this given the building age/structure e.g. steep staircase, narrow corridors. Perhaps a few plants outside to enhance the nice outdoor area, and make the front door easier to open.

First time staying in a B&B as usually opt for chain hotels so you know what to expect. Le Chateau was a fantastic experience from the warm welcome at check in to an immaculately clean room, which you very seldom get in a big chain hotel and was half the price. The bed was so comfortable, I actually overslept in the morning and would definitely book Le Chateau over the usual Premier Inn / Travel Lodge ect when I'm back in the area.

Home cooked to order and very good portions- just the right amount Stayed for evening dinner at the restaurant on site, the food was so lovely The room was lovely and the property is definitely under rated, in a very good location, staff are so lovely and will definitely be returning !

Requested a twin, had a double but not the end of the world. Rooms could do with a lick of paint here and there but wouldn’t put me off returning again.

A good, friendly and helpful welcome from Paul with a good slice of humour. Excellent restaurant facility with good ranging menu and splendidly cooked and served. Only a Continental breakfast mid-week but substantial with plenty of variety

Nothing could have been better except the 'service charge' on dinner bill is a bit 'old hay' these days and should not be applied to guests

Food excellent. Everything very, very good. It's a boring review but it's a genuinely good place to stay and one where you should, if you can, go back and eat at.

The plug and neck of a laptop are longer and thicker than most other electrical appliances. They probably need at least 3 inches drop from the plug in order to fit easily and not pop out or not go in. Other things fitted, but my laptop didn't. If you stay there longer you might want a desk unless you want to use your computer downstairs. I assume you can but mine was only a brief stay.

I liked the chateau the room was very nice and very clean, breakfast was freshly cooked dinner was to a high standard, and within a five minute walk your in the new forest. It is and felt like a family run hotel

Although the staff were prompt and very nice there is no reception room as such the front door area is small and a little awkward, but it didn't really matter

The owner was very helpful getting my bags upstairs. Nice big room, clean and well decorated. Very quiet. The breakfast buffet was very impressive. There is a restaurant on site most nights, but I can't report on that as I was too tired to try it. Lots of parking in front. The New Forest is very close. I entered via a side road and met a delightful assortment of pigs, horses and donkeys!

Although the room was big, the en-suite bathroom was a bit more cramped. Everything was there, and accessible, except that the shower door was too close to the sink, which made it a tight squeeze for someone of my excessive girth! The window coverings are blinds, not curtains. Fine if you're used to blinds, but it's been a few decades for me, so it took a while to remember the knack.
