Staff were very helpful, everyone we meet and they were friendly to our two grandchildren. The pool was great. Continental breakfast was perfect and locationwise was ideal and easy walk into Lyndhurst

The shower was dangerous as difficult to control the temperature. The hot water was far too hot in room 16. Otherwise the room was perfect for us and our young children, they especially liked the bunk beds. The games in the games room were all incomplete, so disappointing for the children when they opened the boxes and most pieces were missing. The games room could be much better utilised with some other games - even if customers had to book out games from reception. TV was complicated.

The swimming pool was enjoyed by all. The breakfast had a good selection of continental options. However, the cooked breakfast was disappointing, considering we had to pay extra for it. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Smart TV didn't work in the evenings due to high demand on WiFi

We received a phone call a week before our arrival telling us about breakfast. We had a welcome chat from a member of staff giving us information about the hotel. We were disappointed to return back to the hotel after a day out to find that our rooms had not been serviced. When we visited reception, we were told there were information sheets in the bedrooms informing us that we had to request a room service and that we had also been told on arrival. None of us had an information sheet in our rooms, and we were not informed. A positive is that they did quickly change our towels and empty our bins! I think a service should be standard for all rooms and people should opt out of they don't want it.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. As there were only pizzas available at night in the hotel during the evenings we were given great recommendations for eating out locally. On our 2nd night we had pizza’s onsite they were delicious! Breakfast was lovely and staff so helpful and polite. (Handled difficult customers during breakfast professionally and calmly- well done!) The pool was lovely, and we visited several times during our stay. Lovely clean changing rooms with toilet, shower, hairdryer and plenty of space for families to remain together. Having towels provided was brilliant. The hotel is in a great location - not too far from Paultons Park and has lovely walks nearby, and horses in the fields across the road. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Not a criticism at all, but adding some sides to the pizza would have been lovely.

On arrival received a lovely welcome from the lady in reception. We stayed in a family room with a large bed and bunk beds for our 6 year old, the bathroom was a bit dated but clean with a great shower. hotel is within walking distance of town with all it's shops, cafes, pubs etc. . plus walks on your doorstep with many horses in a field opposite, just amazing. During our stay we had a problem with our car and may have required another night at short notice. the lady on reception was so kind and helpful Thank you. Would recommend this hotel to families, we will be back.

The staff were amazing, and the hotel and location were a perfect 🥰 lovely atmosphere in the evening . I loved the pool and location to the local village, lyndhurst

The breakfast was not great, the quality of the food was not amazing and there were lots of options missing. The staff were apologetic and lovely. They just need to hold more stock and booking.com need to explain the breakfast options when including breakfast on their bookings as the hotels had several options. Not the lodges' fault, this was a booking.com error as they are not clear. The hotel did not charge us extra, which was amazing as it was not their error, and there were 7 of us, so 5 stars to the lodge.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them; Breakfast included a very good choice of cereals, cooked, fruit and pastries; pool on site but we forgot to pack our costumes! As there are no longer restaurant options for the evening meal, the staff recommended a great option a couple of minutes' walk away. Excellent location and only a short walk away from Lyndhurst centre.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, but the furniture could do with an upgrade - although there was lots of storage space! Not much to dislike about this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights with my dog Frankie in room 22; much bigger than I was expecting and very comfortable. Hotel location is perfect both for dog walks directly from the hotel to the Forest or into Lyndhurst itself. Frankie and I were made so welcome and the staff (without exception) are helpful, attentive and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent and the indoor pool facility is a huge bonus! Would most definitely stay again!

The changing/shower rooms by the pool could have been a bit cleaner but it was 8pm so maybe had been a busy day.

Very comfortable. Welcoming. Staff were very helpful , friendly and accommodating . The breakfast was absolutely superb. Plenty of areas and lounges to relax in. Really enjoyed our stay . Would recommend strongly.

The shower was over the bath. Felt strongly not suitable for our age group in particular. 70 yrs plus. No hand rails for getting in and out , controls were too stiff for me. The bottom of the bath was extremely slippy . My husband had to help me in and out, as I slipped the first time I used it.

Beautiful property, exceptional staff, and great location. From check in to check out It was fantastic. We have a Alsatian type dog who comes away with us, and can safely say this is the most pooch friendly place we have stayed at in the new forest (we’ve stayed at a few), without cutting back on any of the luxuries that some dog friendly places provide. We had a lovely big room, which allowed us to pop our dog bed on the floor and still have plenty of room to get round and dressed. There was a very lovely welcome gift for our pawed pal which was a lovely touch ☺️ We didn’t manage to have breakfast but we had a lovely dinner in the bar area which was very much enjoyed!

Hotel was perfectly located for my Son and I to do a long walk in the New Forest - Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst and back. It is obvious the hotel needs a little bit of TLC but that shouldn't take away from the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. We had a friendly welcome and staff were courteous thought-out. Our bedroom was comfortable.

I can't speak to the state of the other rooms but the our room could have done with a lick of paint and a general update. This was also obvious with the swimming pool and a few other areas. The basement room with TV and games could be a great space if given some attention.
