Very clean, free milk and cookies in the afternoon were a treat, spa is lovely, the sun terrace is gorgeous Breakfast was outstanding! Dinner was a delight - expensive but worth it - lovely personalized welcome card on the bed, lovely little touches and attention to detail
Some staff a bit off(young female server and breakfast staff). Which was a shame as reception ladies and 2 male waiting staff were excellent & so very sweet. No lifts stairs were a pain all the time. No help with bags down offered, no children allowed on sun terrace which is a shame. Didn’t have anything in the room to advise of check out times , no room service menu ,

The venue and location are beautiful. The decor is considered and classy, feeling grown up and cosy. It really was like a home from home with special touches, such as the milk and cookies, or fresh milk in the room. We didn't take our child with us but welcomed the notion of a child-friendly hotel, and would love to return with our little one. The spa facilities were amazing, as was the various rooms to sit in and play games /relax. Overall a luxury break in a stunning location with friendly staff and personal touches.
Pretty expensive overall, especially the food in the restaurant, when that is added in. The breakfast could be improved and let it down a bit. Good selection but bacon watery and not crispy, hash browns soggy, not particularly nice sausages, pancakes chewy. Our bed (cosy room) did feel very small for two. Pool area sometimes quite noisy with families but not too bad. Our room had a lampshade just above where you would sit up in bed, making it hard to do so without knocking your head!

Everything has been so well thought out at this hotel since the recent refurb! The room was nicely decorated and very clean and I LOVED the tiny motion light next to the toilet that came on at night when you enter the bathroom, so you don't have to turn a bright light on - such a nice touch! They went all out to make us welcome - they provide baby monitors so you can chill in the bar after dinner and also Yoto's for bedtime stories! The pools were both lovely and heated and the food was better than I expected for a family hotel!! My son loved that he could go to the games room next door to the restaurant while we waited for dinner to be served - they really have thought of everything. The staff were lovely and we will definitely stay here again!
Breakfast is a little chaotic (but lovely), advise to get there early!

If you have an infant this is the place to be, the ultimate relaxation getaway where you can sit back and rest up. The staff are brilliant and try to accommodate your requests really well, a wonderfully trained staff makes things a lot better.
We were in the room in the top floor and for a man of my height I had to watch my head way too much even in the room and the washroom. The food was really the only drawback of this place, the quality of food was very poor, shocker tbh.

The staff were fantastic. They were so helpful. The room and ensuite were both a good size and the unlimited use of the spa area (which had a good range of amenities) was much appreciated. There were lots of indoor lounge areas and outside areas to chill out in. We didn't go with children, but we noted how family friendly the hotel is. It was also so nice to see the horses and deer roaming the grounds. Lovely hotel!
It would have been useful to have a little fridge in our bedroom, to hold our packed lunch for our hike. When we received our final bill, it was incorrect. The light directly above the shower was filled with dust, which was unpleasant. The hotel guide was out of date: it included old COVID protocols and said that our room would have Elemis products to use (which they didn't). It also said that evening dining was formal, but the eating area looked the same as it does at lunch time (no table clothes etc) and the evening food was quite expensive. When we first arrived we had to ask for a tv remote, as it was missing and then had to ask again as the one we were given didn't work.

We booked for relaxation after a long work weekend, and were not disappointed. We'd requested the room with the view of the horses and forest and got both, the staff were first class, parking was literally just outside which was excellent as the weather was less than sterling. Jude enjoyed the pool (Twice) enormously, and there was plenty of space in the room.
The bed was a little on the soft side, which isn't a terminal issue as tastes vary from point to point, but it was far too soft for me. The accessibility isn't the best, there may be an elevator to all floors but we were using stairs, but again, it's an old building and wasn't built in a time when those things were a priority.

We stayed in the Fallow room, which was spacious, warm and clean. Lovely big bathroom with a large shower. Generous complimentary Bramley bath products to use. Staff all very friendly. Breakfast was a wide choice of cold buffet and excellent cooked food. The pool area was a bit dated but didn’t spoil my daily swim. Sauna, steam room etc. and treatments available. The New Forest is a beautiful area especially this time of year with all the autumn colours. Wonderful to see wild horses, cows and pigs roaming about. We had a relaxing lunch and afternoon at the Pig, which is only 5mins away from the hotel.
Would help if hotel guests had a dedicated parking area as it was difficult to find a space on a couple of occasions.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location with super facilities. There were renovations going on at the time of stay but didn't make an impact and staff were very welcoming. Spa was great and they looked after us all very well and were gentle with the first time teens. Breakfast was good selection and quality.
Minor quibbles - the put-me-up bed in the room was small (teenager using, prob better for a younger child) and the blind didn't work so very light in the morning.

Clean, comfortable, charming and great spa! Friendly stuff. Great value for money
Breakfast dishes wasn’t amazing but the overall buffet was good. Restaurant stuff wasn’t professional but kind. A lot of children around.

The location is great, spa facilities were very good, lots of green and lovely to see the horses and deer. Doggy welcome pack was a lovely touch. Staff were very friendly.
Bathroom wasn’t clean unfortunately. The games Room which is meant for older children to hang out was a bit of a mix of toddler play area and older children. Would be good to separate them out. Bedroom didn’t have nearly enough closet space. Just three shallow drawers small which had stuff in them already. Food menu was basic and was overpriced.
