Old school hotel- Easy and clean place to stay. Out season parking €15 — comfortable.

The location is great for a few minute downhill walk to the centre of the seafront and beach access, and also a few minutes to the shopping areas and concert venues. Car park is quite large and totally secure. Check-in and staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s an old building so it’s charming, traditional and cosy not gleaming and minimalist. The cold water outdoor pool is open through the winter and is beautifully kept and located in lovely pool surrounds at the front of the hotel with views to the sea. We absolutely loved our cold water dips there and the hotel pool towels were lovely. Bar and lounge areas were very comfy with great service. We booked too late to get a sea view supplement room but we’re lucky to get a room on tje end of tje hotel so we had a lovely view of the sea all the way down the coast to Old Harry Rocks through our big bay window. Bedroom was big, bathroom was nice, bed was big and the room was nice with the radiator temprature adjustable and nice and warm. We had a lovely time.

The room had everything you could wish for, however, it was a very warm room. That said, a fan had been provided which was very useful on the hot days we had. All the staff at the hotel were wonderful - so very friendly and customer focused, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. I cannot fault their hospitality skills.

The only slight criticism I have is that the bathroom was very small - not much room to move about in there, and nowhere to store toiletries etc. At the end of the day though, this wasn't a big deal as time spent in the bathroom is very limited anyway! The only other negative is that, whilst the hotel is very clean indeed, maintenance is required on the windowsills in the rooms, however, being a very old hotel this is something which will always be 'ongoing'.

The staff here go above and beyond to help. A huge thank you to Pat Clarke. She was so busy at breakfasts but went out of her way to have a friendly chat with our little boy. I noticed that she did this with most guests. There was always a personable approach. To be fair all the staff were lovely. There were a few coach loads during our stay but you wouldn't have known that as the staff kept on top of everything in a seamless and more than efficient manner. We loved the little gestures like giving my son a biscuit whenever I had a brew really made him feel extra special on holiday. Also really liked the idea that if you didn't want your room cleaning daily you could let reception know and they would leave you a small basket with replenishments like towels and tea/coffee things and £5 knocked off the bar bill. This is a brilliant idea. I don't like having our room cleaned daily (as I find I try and clean and tidy everything for the cleaners!!). Our room was spacious and despite the fact that on three days there were two or three coach loads of people in the ballroom (and we were directly over it in room 126) there was little noise.

Nothing to say here at all. We loved it.

My wife and I enjoyed our weekend stay at the Marshall Court Hotel. The location was ideal, and the room was spacious. However, we did notice there were three beds—one double bed and two singles—which we found unnecessary, though it didn’t significantly bother us. The only aspect of our stay that was disappointing was the shower, which lacked water pressure. Apart from that, our experience was excellent. The customer service was outstanding, particularly one of the bartenders, Cat, who went above and beyond in serving us. Additionally, the reception staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Overall, it was a great weekend

I usually don’t return to the same place twice, but this hotel has definitely won our hearts, and we’ve already stayed here three times. Of course, the rooms with an ocean view are the cherry on top, but even if you’re not ready to pay extra, you can still enjoy your stay in a more standard room without a special view. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are regularly cleaned. The room has everything you need – tea, a kettle, and coffee. Besides offering breakfast, which has a wide variety of options, the hotel also provides lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, and if you decide to spend your vacation at the hotel, you won’t regret it. The atmosphere is always festive due to the many events that take place. The little bar on the ground floor is very cozy and is the perfect way to end the day. The pool is great and warm, which is a plus if you have kids. When it’s sunny, it’s best to grab a sun lounger early. Right across from the hotel, there’s a fascinating house museum where you can easily spend hours. Close to the pier and the high street.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

The room was far too hot and the windows wouldn't open wide enough to cool it down (granted it was a warm day in May) and to top it all the hot water was scalding hot which is totally unnecessary and a waste. The car park was very expensive and tight-fitting (I had to do a 20 point turn to fit in the last remaining space) - I certainly wouldn't recommend trying to fit a large car in it when busy. The hotel is generally quite dated and you really wouldn't rate it at 4 stars

Staff very friendly, loved the location, the children loved the pool and the view from our balcony room. Beds very comfortable. The performer in the bar Wednesday evening was fab and the boys enjoyed their Pizza’s.

With no air conditioning the room was very warm with three people occupying it despite the fan. The breakfast was fab although I do feel the children’s price was a little high considering how little they tend to eat, one item I would request to consider is pancakes the children’s were disappointed they were not on offer. And UHT milk in the coffee machine URGH.

Great location to the seafront just a short walk. Very Festive on arrival and the staff where friendly. The room was very spacious.

The facilities where a bit tired. Kettle in the room was old and had some limescale , a small worry as was formula feeding our baby and had to use the kettle. The Bathroom could use some updating. Paid £5 extra for a baby cot, mattress did not fit the cot (was too large) which concerned me about safe sleeping as it rolled up at the ends. I feel the cot should be free of charge also. Also to be aware that if booking via booking.com then there is an additional £15 parking charge on arrival.
