I believe the hotel must have recently undergone a refurbishment, as the rooms we stayed in were absolutely stunning—modern, spotless, and everything still had that fresh, new feel. The attention to detail in the design and comfort really stood out. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the food. The hotel’s restaurants offered exceptional dishes—every meal was perfectly prepared, full of flavour, and far superior to many other restaurants we tried in the area. It really exceeded our expectations in every way.

The only downside to our stay was the lack of a lift for the executive rooms. For someone with mobility issues or walking difficulties, having to climb the stairs made access quite challenging and uncomfortable. It would have made a big difference to have a lift or at least some form of accessible alternative for guests who need it.

The Room was bigger than expected and was modern, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was large and whilst a little dated it was clean, tidy and the shower worked well. Breakfast was of a good quality and plenty of choice and quantity. Dinner was included in our room price and the 3 courses were a good quality and quantity. The service was good as was the timing of meals. Restaurant was a little quiet. Good parking right outside the hotel for a small daily fee. Location is a short walk to the beachfront and the Gardens. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.

The lift was out of service for a while during our stay and seemed to be the only lift available but was working when we needed it for luggage.

Excellent location for beach, pier, aquarium and wheel. The room was spacious and had everything you would expect in a hotel room. We had the buffet breakfast each morning, which was very nice and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. The reception team were also very friendly and helpful.

When we arrived there were no parking spaces available, and you weren't able to prebook a parking space. There didn't appear to be enough spaces for all the guests, and some were directed to nearby car parks. We were lucky as someone checked out while we were taking our luggage to the room, so we got a space.

Obviously an incredible location, made even better by the view we had in our superior sea view family of 3 room. Shampoo, soap and body wash provided smelt lovely, dressing gowns and slippers to use during our stay was a bonus we didn’t know about! Air con worked fast to get the room down to 19 degrees. Finally a hotel with a smart TV, really appreciated that, Disney+, and can cast from phones ect.

Other half went down to get a couple of cokes from the bar but no staff were to be seen, probably just bad timing. Fridge in the room was room temp inside, it was definitely on.

The hotel is being refurbished, and we did have concerns prior to arrival but our room was fantastic. Recently refurbished obviously it smelt new. Nice decor, we were really pleased. The person who checked us in and out was really nice and friendly, and perhaps more importantly, made us feel welcomed and a valued customer. We will certainly be staying again.

Our only concern was we could seem to get the room warm. I'm sure it was us, but the room was cold on arrival and in the morning. It didn't spoil our stay.

The family room was very good

First time i stay in a hotel that I'm not allowed to leave the luggage after checking out. I do think the hotel must review that rule. I travelled with my family and took everything to the beach with me was not an option. The hotel opened an exception for me which i appreciate, but i do not think this should be an exception, in particular if you travel by train. I like the hotel but will not stay there again if i travel by train (by car it's fine you can leave in the car) and everyone who asks for recommendation i raise this point because for many people is a no-break.

The hotel was lovely in all public areas. The visit was during the festive period and the hotel had a lovely Christmas feel to it with the decorations around the ground floor.

I understand that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations as the 2nd floor was out of service during our stay. I can see the need for the renovations as whilst the room was comfortable, the decoration was quite tired with peeling wallpaper. I would like to visit again once the renovations have been completed. If you travel here at the moment expecting a 4 start hotel, it doesn't quite live up to expectations, but 2025 may be quite different.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was fantastic with great views. The staff were attentive and helpful. The Hotels location is great for the Christmas gardens, the town, the prom, and the BIC. The hotel is going through a refresh, which is long overdue, and our friends had one of the newly refreshed room which they told us was fantastic.

The suite was a little tired, curtain tracks didn't work correctly, the bathroom sink plug was faulty, and the heating didn't work, Although electric radiators were readably available, unfortunately our shower al though morden and clean had a pretty useless flow. Parking is somewhat limited, but there's little that could be done about that. The parking charge of £14 a night seems a little steep.

Very friendly staff, our room was very modern and clean. The only thing that let it down was the size as was very small and a little too cramped for the 2 of us. The bathroom also lacked space to put toiletries etc but the shower was lovely. We added on breakfast at £14 per person which was very worth while as the quality and choice was great. We would definitely stay again but would book direct as had to pay £28 to park for 48 hours where as if you book direct you get it included in the cost. Location was great and overall a wonderful stay.

Hotel very good although rooms and bathrooms were a bit on the small side but overall very adequate. Stopped on 4th floor which has recently been refurbished to a standard. Work in construction so am probably a bit picky on standard and thought the quality of the refurb left a bit to be desired. New doors not centered, toilet seat broken, poor finishing around lift call button on 4th floor etc.

Would have saved £42 in parking charges if I had booked with the hotel direct and not booking.com
