staff room food beverages location gardens and grounds all the residents and dogs - met so very many new friends

my wine bottle and food was stolen from the bar restaurant area! CCTV didn't cover where it was stolen but another resident saw the man take it! Didn't report to police as I should have taken it with me into the garden with my friends! only outside for 5 minutes and it was stolen! Then 2 men woke me up fighting and banging and swearing outside my bedroom door! Police called and caught one but the other one ran off into the pavilion gardens. They were residents! Too much drinking fighting and playing loud music throughout the night woke many residents.

Huge hotel with lovely old interior in places that makes it an enjoyable environment to sit in. The room we had was really big and the beds were comfortable. The pool was spacious, and it was a bonus to see lots of sunbeds to be able to relax. The breakfast was a great standard. I think this hotel was value for money.

There was a £5 charge to use the pool. The price of the drinks from the bar were a little steep but we should have expected that. Our telly didn't work, I went to reception to ask for someone to come and look at it, they didn't come for an hour and a half, by then we decided to go to sleep.

Lovely building. Spacious bedroom. Excellent Pool/Spa. Nice food in Bar area. Helpful friendly staff.

Very hot weather and no air conditioning. One fan in room. 2 would have been better. TV not working on arrival. Batteries in remote not working. Rusty coloured water when tap turned on. Balcony unable to be used. Lifts not working.

Great facility as a hotel should be. Rooms were all supper big with a lot of space.

Breakfast was very poor (no fruits, coffee machine with issues, not much options if you don’t like the traditional British breakfast style). The whole build (including the rooms) clearly needs some renovation.

We booked the bedroom suite downstairs ,it was lovely , we had access to our own private garden. place is quite Central location near to the beach. Clean spa facilities includes sauna , jacuzzi and swimming pool. Live music, in the evening.

Inclusion dinner and breakfast is slightly on the budget, and limited variety. Paid parking 23-25 a day. Staff were aware check in is after 15:00hrs , and more staff should have been available to check in, or self service check in should be considered

The Hotel had upgraded us to a wonderful room at no extra charge. The facilities at the swimming pool were excellent.

There was no room service - not even emptying of rubbish bins and topping up tea tray. I guess if we had asked at reception it would have been arranged but there was nothing to tell us that.

Location , cleanliness , availability

Not being able to pick a room . We go every year and have rooms that we like but are not able to select a room even when we book well in advance . Bed this time was not brilliant .

Love older hotels with character and history. This hotel had a lovely atmosphere on all fronts thank you

Obviously parking is a pain, but what you expect with a super location

Lovely large room. Staff very helpful and respectful over all a fantastic stay breakfast quite good, bar area beautiful and cozy very big. Gardens superb. Swimming pool & sauna great. However was not happy having to pay for pool use and hotel car park £ 25 per night was ridiculous had too park ekes were for only £6 for 24 hours.

Paying for use of swimming pool & sauna. Having no where to smoke late at night garden closes 18.00 as guest within garden areas may be disturbed. So myself & my sister-in-law had to sit on a wall outside in are night ware at the front entrance of the hotel. A little uneasy as there was several very drunk people passing by us. Trying to talk etc. other than that 8 out of 10 very happy with r weekend. Thanx Tina
