Beautiful hotel, in a lovely setting.

Paid over £300 for a one night stay. Thought we would treat ourselves. Specifically selected breakfast to be included so to be charged an additional £10 each (I appreciate in isolation not a massive amount) because we had a ‘hot breakfast’ was, in my opinion pretty hopeless, and really left a sour taste, and an impression of being ripped off. If breakfast is included, it should be included, especially when you’ve paid a premium price. Poor from the hotel in my opinion.

It’s an attractive property in a good location.

The included spa facilities are basic & tired so you really need to pay the extra to go into the Hydrotherapy spa. Breakfast was basic and not all options were available if you came down later to breakfast.

Loved the property and the bedroom was spacious and tidy.

I hated the Thai restaurant the meals we chose tasted the same very plain and boring lacking flavour. Over priced massively compared to many restaurants I’ve been to. Very disappointing especially as it was our anniversary weekend away that spoilt the time tbh as we always look forward to a nice meal and drinks.

Lovely hotel, well located for exploring New Forest. Good spa facilities and treatments and option to book a swimming lane. Three restaurants to chose from. Room was spacious and comfortable. Continental breakfast included with large choice, a la carte and cooked breakfast abailable at reasonable premium.

We had to pay extra to use the hydropool section of the Spa which was very busy. It would be good if hotel guests could have more time to access this at quieter times of the day at no additional cost or an upgrade one off cost for the diration of stay rather than £39 per 2 hour slot.

Room & bathroom were lovely. Pool & spa very nice. Dinner in Zen Garden restaurant excellent

The rooms don't have air conditioning, so it was a hot at night. But there was a fan & we could leave the outside door open The breakfast was good, but disappointing that for the money we had paid for the night (£340), this included B & B. But we got charged another £17 because (I'm assuming) buried in their small print, it only included for continental. There was quite a wait at reception, both checking in & out

Perfect location for exploring the New Forest. Comfortable room with good facilities and amenities. Staff really helpful and friendly. Excellent food choices and catered to gluten free dietary needs very well! (GF Scones with the cream tea was a real highlight) :)

We asked for a late checkout and although it could be accommodated, there was a charge applied, which was a bit disappointing considering the price of the rooms. We also used the spa facilities for a massage on one occasion, and felt the beds could have been a little more comfortable! Very minor points on what was otherwise a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel, very well located, tastefully designed with excellent facilities. Particularly enjoyed the hydotherapy pool. The Zen restaurant was fantastic. We had the best Mussaman lamb shank ever!

Found it unacceptable to be paying £300+ a night and to be blatantly told by the chef that we couldn't have an omelette. We were quite shocked! We were told that the kitchen set-up made it take too long to prepare at busy periods despite the fact that we were the first in the breakfast room at the time. We travel extensively all over the world and this has never, ever happened. It was disgraceful! The hotel redeemed themselves by taking the breakfast cost off the final bill but it did put a minor downer on what was a lovely stay at the hotel.

The quintessential English Country Hotel. Magical Loved the spar The food was fantastic and the staff from reception to dining room and from the bar to the kitchen nothing was ever too much trouble.

Bathroom was rather dated for current standards of a £300+ a night cost Rather to many wasps which spoilt the outdoor parts but you can’t be held responsible for them, though they did drive us indoors once, thereby stopping us spending at that time.

great location for easy walks and stroking ponies and donkeys! the restaurants were high quality and the spa was great.

sadly a range of staff experiences from truly exceptional at the restaurants and reception. to a truly surly young bar man who had nothing good to say to anyone and tried to short measure 2 gin and tonics as the bottle ran out. I don’t know if you are short staffed but the lack of any follow up in the lounge once you’d ordered drinks at the bar was not good. we asked for a tray and cleared our own table on the end to then be stopped by one of the team. but there was no proactive service at all. anyway overall it was lovely. but for the price need to have some core focus on customer service.

Swimming lane x 6 enjoyed. Meals served very courteously - dinners as well as breakfast. Fortunate could sit out in garden too with weather. Bathroom shower a little outdated.

Need insulated coffee pots at breakfast! Food costs - some seemed high. Room shower a bit fiddly…
