The property is lovely, beautiful grounds and in the summer the outside pool would be lovely! The room was great, perfect for our family of 4 (kids are 2 and 4). Bunk beds are small in length but as our kids are little it was perfect for us. The main bed was super big and comfy which was great.

Only downside I would say is for people coming for a spa break - the pool is family swim for most of the time and not the warmest, there is also no loungers around the pool, so we saw quite a few disappointed people coming to the pool and leaving shortly after. For us with kids it was great, but would say keep that in mind if you’re after a more relaxing adult break.

Before our visit the reception staff were most pro-active and emailed and were most accommodating and helpful as regards my allergy. My many thanks to them for making my trip a safe and relaxing one. On arrival all staff were most pleasant, efficient, courteous and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent and facilities were amazing. I particularly appreciated the 'adult only' swimming times' which facilitated a more relaxing swim time for the more mature persons. The grounds were well kept and most enjoyable to walk around. All in all a most excellent venue with excellent service.

Fab surroundings, great staff in reception and restaurant, fabulous food and reasonable prices for exquisite food and drinks. Didn’t use spa as only fleeting visit, but would book in for longer! Dulcie and Lucy on reception very helpful! Alex and Ben patient in allowing us to ask questions about venue layout and breakfast/dinner concerns. Didn’t feel pressurised to buy products at spa reception , even after asking numerous questions. Breakfast was well prepared , good quality and of good portion and hot. Dinner was fabulous! Topped up with new tea pots on request.

The location and entrance is not easy to see on a dark night, when checking in. Easy to miss, but luckily my eagle eyes made it out… tight turn into the grounds, but great parking availability and good sized space.

The staff were excellent. The indoor pool was a good size and the perfect temperature. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the other leisure facilities but hope to do so in the future. The room was spacious, warm and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and we liked the location. We would stay here again.

Advance information regarding the location of the car park from the check in desk would have been good. We had a fridge, kitchen sink and breakfast bar in our room which we didn't expect along with tea/coffee making. If we had known about this we would have taken a few items such as a tea towel, dish cloth, some consumables, etc. and made good use of this facility.

All perfect with the exception of being charged £52 for 2 breakfasts !!. Why they choose to charge so much is beyond me. Had we booked breakfast at time of making the reservation it would have been cheaper but £52 is beyond the pale. The bar prices are hefty but nothing compared to the breakfast cost. The breakfast was fine but nothing exceptional. Tea spoons instead of dessert spoons to serve yourself with cold fruit salad etc. Obviously to reduce consumption. Table service for excellent cooked breakfast. The waiter was most obliging we must add.

Breakfast was very good and gluten free/ lactose free well catered for upon request. Room was chalet style in courtyard very comfortable and clean if a little dated. No socket at bedside for CPAP machine but extension lead was supplied very promptly when requested . Very handy for ferry crossing to isle of wight on morning we booked out . Very friendly staff. Did not use leisure facilities but outside pool looked very inviting on hot day . Will return when in area probably for a longer stay

The food was very nice. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The decor was nice in both the main building and the bedroom. Would have asked for a ground floor room had I realised the rooms were outside. Brilliant pool and gym facilities.

The only thing I did not realise when I made the booking was that the hotel rooms are outside the main building and up some very slippy steps and it was heavily raining. I was absolutely drenched each time I left the room to go somewhere else - covered walkways would be a good idea. Also parking is a bit confusing and there were only 3 disabled places which were taken up the whole time I was there.

The room. It was badly designed. There was a huge patio door in the room that meant privacy was poor. The bathroom and dressing room both faced this window. Which meant to get privacy you had to have the curtains shut most of the time. There was no where to hang your coats except in the wardrobe that only had 6 hangers so left hardly any for your other clothes. Also there was no where to put your clothes in the bathroom. No hook on the door, no stool or even a toilet seat.

The room was perfct. The scenery was good, wanted peaceful, calm environment trying to escape the busy London life and thats what l got.

There was confusion on payment of breakfast, intially was told no need to pay for breakfast as it was covered as a package for the room, made confirmations, at the venue when we showed up for breakfast we were told otherwise and we ordered breakfast, thought it was 26pounds like we were told but the bill came with 52 pounds, totaly not worthy that amount.

We had stayed here before so knew exactly what to expect. If you want a 5 star luxury spa hotel it's not for you. But we love the location (we visit the area for winter birdwatching mostly) and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with large beds. We like having a bath as well as shower, so that's a plus. The indoor swimming pool is a great rainy day option. The outdoor pool looks lovely but we don't come here in summer! The breakfast offers plenty of choice and is better quality than we would normally expect in a large but not luxury hotel.

It was all fine, it was exactly as we expected. Some people might think the rooms are a bit tired.
