The pub was in a good location for everything in Lyndhurst. We were greeted by who we assumed was the manager and the bar manager, both of whom couldn't have been more helpful and the manager even explained the best places to visit for food and drink while in Lyndhurst of we didn't want to eat there both nights. We did choose to eat there the first night and the food was lovely. The room was also very comfortable and met our needs for a family of 4. Overall a very nice stay.

Although out of the pub's control, the traffic going passed it seemed to last forever and depressingly we even missed the turn off for it so had to turn around and rejoin the traffic going back into town. So if visiting keep an eye out for the entrance to the car park as it was well hidden by traffic when we arrived

Very good and we have been /stayed in the white rabbit last year that’s why we went back there. All staff very helpful. Very nice people you could talk to any of them and also if you needed anything they would always help us out and make sure we were happy and satisfied. And have a banter with us to.

Everything was absolutely fine I asked if possible for a bath in our room and we got both. Nothing was too much trouble. But despite we think the mattresses were new they were soo hard we couldn’t sleep very well and next couple of days our backs hurt so much it felt bruised. But we didn’t want any fuss or move as they had done everything so far to make our stay a happy one.

Our room was large, it had a lounge area, very good. On our suggestion they moving tv from a high position to say half way down the wall opposite the bed. Much better. Decor a little dated, but was told it is due a refurbishment. Room very clean. Staff are fabulous and friendly, nothing too much trouble, breakfast facilities are fabulous.

We picked up a leaflet for Hurst Castle, but the postcode on this leaflet has two numbers transposed, therefore you end up in Southampton. Not the hotels fault, but hopefully upon reading this review they will discard these leaflets and request new ones. We visited Liberty’s bird of prey centre, and did the bird of prey experience. Highly recommend it. The hotel staff were very interested in this visit, they said they can pass that information to other visitors.

Excellent experience staff friendly polite helpful we were meet by Dan happy friendly and very helpful explained everything we needed to know rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable beds with good pillows everything you need for a comfortable stay iron board hairdryer tea/ coffee facilities we ate evening meal quick service food hot and tasty polite servers muriel was also happy would highly recommend this place.

I can honestly say we didn’t find anything that could be done better the staff all day and breakfast staff are fantastic you couldn’t ask for more.

The welcoming, staff were happy, smiling and happy to help. The location of the room was good as we were travelling with our little dog. Good parking and lawned area. Wish we’d booked a couple of nights.

The only two small criticisms which are not a deal breaker but should be considered. 1: the shower head could probably do with changing for a new one. 2: the guest door at the rear had cigarette stubs outside on the ground. Need something to put there for the smokers to put them in. This was a great place to stay so don’t let the two little things put you off.

Dan and Luke were extremely welcoming and friendly. This is our 4th stay here and the location is perfect for attending Beaulieu Supercar Weekend with a large, safe car park for our Classic cars. The bed was clean and comfortable. The outside area is lovely for a cool drink after a long hard, hot day.

The rooms are dated, the biggest issue is no shelf to put toiletries in the bathroom (room 9). This needs resolving. The winter weight duvet was far too hot for summer and needs a different one.

We arrived early and were met by very friendly, helpful staff who invited us to check in early. The staff were ALL very friendly and helpful, always attentive to the guests and areas (making sure the tables were cleared promptly, etc). The room was very clean and spacious, with everything needed to make a comfortable stay. We had a party of 10 for a meal, again the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and we all had a lovely time. It was lovely to be welcomed, daily, like old friends. We will definitely be back.

Stairs, very difficult. Rooms need sprucing up, not enough plug points, ours was the other side of the room from the bed,,,,which was a problem as I have to use a machine to breath at night,,,, the price of the drinks was too much,,,,,,we got given the wrong starter when we were in the restraint,,,,and had to wait hour and a half before eating our main meal. Dreadful pillows, very lumpy.

I had a brilliant stay at the White Rabbit! The staff were absolutely brilliant and were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and spacious, bed was very comfortable and the heating was very effective in the cold January weather. The breakfast was great with some good choices both on the continental and the cooked menu. Location is excellent for walking in the New Forest too. Highly recommend this hotel and I would love to come back in the future! Thanks

For our group of car enthusiasts a large, safe car park where our classic cars are safely stowed out of sight of a main road is the most important criteria when choosing our overnight accommodation and the White Rabbit fits the bill perfectly, which is why we return each year. We also need amenities within walking distance and again, the location is just perfect with a 5 minute walk to Lyndhurst village centre and all it has to offer. Staff were all lovely and extremely accommodating this year- it's a credit to them that they still managed to work with a smile through the mini heatwave we had as the building has little ventilation so was stiflingly hot! The gardens however were delightfully refreshing.

Public areas and rooms are a little tired and would benefit from some upgrading, however in such a huge, old building this would be a massive and very expensive undertaking.
