Stylish hotel with quality design and decor and thoughtful touches, such as homemade shortbread biscuits, coffee pods etc. in the room. Fabulous friendly and helpful staff especially at Reception. We were advised in advance that there would be a wedding on during our stay and because we requested a quieter location we were upgraded to a kingsize room. Beautiful bathroom with excellent shower. Superb location on the East Cliff, less than 10 mins to the beach. Excellent fine dining restaurant attached to the hotel with a delicious high quality and imaginative food.
The only thing that let down the stay was the bed: very soft and bouncy, the mattress seemed quite dated. Surprising for such a hotel with quality design and decor. I was expecting a firm mattress with memory foam.

Lovely room, good location, easy to park and lovely staff.
Unfortunately, although the rooms are lovely, we were kept awake by the noise of the room above who I could only guess were trying to get their 20,000 steps in before midnight. The sound of every single movement they made was awful. The night manager was fabulous and went and had a word however they go up again at 6am and it started all over again. Once they checked out at around 7.30am I thought I would be able ti get some sleep but nope, then the cleaners came and it started again 🤣

We have stayed at the hotel before, when we arrived our room was upgraded which was lovely. The only complaint was that there was a beautiful shower and bath in our room, but there wasn’t any hot water due to a problem with the boiler, so we weren’t able to use them. The hotel were aware of the problem and were dealing with it though. Staff were very efficient and helpful thought out. Although we only had breakfast at the hotel this time, the food was lovely. I love the touch of having fresh milk on arrival so that I can make a decent cup of tea in the room 🙂

The location was great for access to the town. The room was clean and size adequate for our needs. A nice shower room used daily by us.Lovely soft towels and complimentary bottles of chilled water each day which was great in this heatwave. No air con but fan provided in wardrobe for use.Staff very helpful.
Our only complaint was the misunderstanding over the parking. When we initially booked the room we presumed as we were staying at the hotel we could park for free as it does state private parking on booking .com.This was one of the reasons for us why we booked this hotel. So we were not happy when arriving to be told it was another £30 on top which is £10 per day.We feel it needs to be made more clearer as we noticed a couple of other customers felt the same as ourselves. To be honest this would now stop us from rebooking a room at this hotel again. Also another point is that even though we had paid it was still first come first served as car park opened to public.

The hotel is well decorated and finished, it feels as though it has been recently re-furbished to a high standard. Our room was very large and well furnished with a modern open bathroom and walk in shower at one end and a closed w.c./washbasin at the other. The bed was also very large and extremely comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant.
The bedside lamps were both controlled by a single switch which meant it wasn't possible for one of us to read while the other slept. I wasn't anticipating having to pay for parking in the hotel car park overnight, and was disappointed that it cost £10! The hotel is good but other public buildings in the road are a bit run down/derelict but don't let that put you off!

The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and well presented. Spotlessly clean. Really nice to have good quality coffee bags and be able to have fresh milk. All the staff we met were incredibly kind and helpful. The bar staff were great and really attentive. The room for breakfast was lovely and staff were great. A good selection of options were available.
Initially we were charged for two days breakfast when we had only had one but this was quickly rectified and refunded. We wanted to order food in the bar around 4pm on Friday but had a long wait while the menu was being changed over even though it appeared to be the same but we had a drink while we waited and the staff were very apologetic. The food was worth waiting for and delicious. The breakfast was nice but not great – the poached egg on the full english had lost all it's white and had a tang of vinegar from the poaching water. They had run out of pancakes, but to be fair we did come down at 10am.

We loved this hotel. The staff were exceptional. Super attentive. Complementary water and cold milk throughout our stay. Excellent electric car chargers. Safe parking. Excellent breakfast and great restaurant. Really would recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed 😃
Our bedroom window frames were old and need some DIY and paint. The breakfasts are all made to order and so take time. You may be frustrated if in a hurry. However these are very minor points. This hotel was one of the nicest we’ve been to !

A lovely stylish hotel. What made our stay so special was the exceptional service from the lovely and thoughtful staff. A special thank you to Eva and Jacobi who looked after our every need and made sure we had gluten and dairy-free delights. We stayed 3 nights for a family wedding which was totally beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were the best ever. Room service was excellent as was food in the bar and at breakfast.
Would have liked more shelves or draws in the bedroom and some coat hooks. Also nowhere in the shower to put one's toiletries so I had to put them on the floor which is no good if you have a bad back! Magnifying mirror in the bathroom was cloudy and needs to be replaced.

Excellent weekend at a quality hotel. Our room was very good with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk daily which is a 1st for us instead of the little cartons of cream which are not good in tea. Every staff member smiled and said hello at every opportunity. Breakfast was excellent although kitchen service was slow on the Sunday morning with a full dining room due to a wedding there on Saturday night, but we enjoyed pastries and cereals while we waited for a cooked breakfast which was excellent. We would recommend the Green House Hotel and will be visiting there again.
The long wait for Sunday morning cooked breakfast but that wouldn't stop us from staying there again.

Really beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Lovely touches in the room, like big bottles of still and sparkling complimentary water, biscuits and a birthday chocolate treat. Really handy location for a gig at the BIC, too. Will definitely visit again and wish we had booked for longer. Great that there is free parking on site (so many places charge!!) and the on-site restaurant is really special for dinner (would highly recommend the chateaubriand experience). Great to have a guest lounge/bar, which is a really nice space for a drink. Do not be put off by the reasonable price, this place is quality.
It is an old building, so the sound proofing is not perfect. But this cannot be helped and everything else more than makes up for it.
