We came for a weekend away, and the Orchid Hotel was lovely, by far the best hotel in the area. Easy to find, great for parking plenty of spaces we were able to leave the car hours before check in time. The staff were friendly & welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean, spotless in fact. Modern. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom very up to date and we loved the modern mirror light. Very generous tea & coffee facilities. For the price we paid we feel we’ve had a bargain. Only a 10 minute walk to the beach we really can’t wait to come back and will 100% be returning to the Orchid. 10/10

Easy to get to. Walking distance of Bic and pavilion. Clean, friendly, comfortable.

Very noisy about 3am presumably other guests which was a bit surprising as it was a Wednesday night. All draft drinks were off the drinks menu due to lack of gas, bottled beer and cider only so we went out elsewhere.

Lovely room at the front of the hotel, very tasty breakfast with lots of variety hot and cold, air conditioning room and a large bed. Very helpful staff with special thanks to Tanya and Chrysawa on reception for going above and beyond 5*

Parking was limited and £10 per night was a bit steep, apart from that nothing

Restaurant was good value and very good food

Ate dinner in the hotel restaurant twice. Paid by card each time rather than being billed to room for meal. On checking out, was told quite ‘firmly’ that I needed to pay for both meals. I had to get my bank account up on my phone and show the transactions where I had paid for my meals. (Thank god for online banking). Effectively, I was being accused of dishonesty. The desk clerk accepted what I showed her but still regarded me a bit suspiciously. I don’t the fact that they had clearly mixed me up with someone else, mistakes happen. But I would have expected profuse apologies which I didn’t get when I showed them the evidence of their error. It’s not nice to be wrongly accused. I won’t go back.

Staying at this hotel made you feel that you were living at one of the British houses and not a hotel. The decorations and the atmosphere were above average. The cozy lobby and the furniture were so comfortable to sit and relax over there

Hidden gem in Bournemouth

We booked for a bank holiday weekend and when we arrived after a very long 5 hour drive, the staff were very welcoming and got us to our room to relax promptly. Our room was No 206 and it was the best hotel room I've ever stayed in in this country,decorated to a very high modern standard with a really wow bathroom which included a shower and a stand alone bath,his and her sinks,it was an amazing room. The hotel itself is again decorated and finished to a very high modern contemporary standard. We will definitely be going back in the future and I can whole heartedly staying in the hotel to anyone.

Absolutely lovely stay. The room was very spacious and had all the facilities needed, even a coffee machine. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and a good selection of pastries and cereal. It would be nice to have more fruit to choose as there were only apples and oranges. We had a wonderful cooked breakfast on our first morning but unfortunately the second morning the breakfast was very oily. So we chose to have continental the next morning. It's nice to have the option. The hotel is located in a great spot to walk down to the beach and is a 15/20 mins walk down into the town centre. Just be aware it's an uphill climb back. We would definitely recommend and we will be going back.

The location was good We were contacted in advance about a function they had booked and we were offered the option of cancelling or rebooking but seeing it was for my birthday this wasn’t an option

We took the option of a ‘quiet’ room when informed of a function going on (As it was a stay for my birthday we didn’t cancel) it was not like the lovely advertised rooms on their website it was very basic and dark with a teeny tiny cold shower room Spent ten minutes on hold phoning the hotel the night before our stay but gave up
