We had a one night stay (should have been 2 but our ferry was cancelled) . Staff were very friendly,,bed was comfy & the breakfast was lovely. Beach was very close & the hotel even kept our cases safe as we weren't flying out until late in the evening. I've seen some reviews about the decor being dated but I felt that it was a real authentic English seaside experience. Will most definitely return & for longer next time.

Couldn't fault it. Very good experience. Even though there was a function downstairs ,we weren't disturbed by it..Nice & quiet.

9-11Apr 25. Overall good. A little dated but clean and comfortable bed. Great breakfast plenty of choice. Bar meals stop at 7.30pm. After walking around the town got back at 8pm. The barman phoned kitchen and was no trouble for my beautiful fish and chips with peas and green salad garnish.. Very nice. Only downside £5.00 / day parking but it's stated in description. Note. The Manager said Hotel's policy now.....NO TOILET BRUSHES. ALSO ROOM 136 LOW WATER PRESSURE AT SHOWER you have to stand under shower head.Failing that nice room H.dryer,fan.ironing board, TV 40", ample wardrobe space, tea/coffee/kettle and door card key. Plenty to see Boscum pier great beaches allover Bournemouth. Drove to Weymouth/Poole, you must go to Wimbourne this is a quiant lay back place and car parking now Summer charges are reasonable.

The price I got for 2 rooms was fab, the size of the room for me and my 2 little ones was perfect. Very child friendly, they were great and full of smiles. Area is beautiful and close to sea. Lovely views on our walks. . Not far walk from Bournemouth station, under 15mins but bus can be taken near it if preferred. 5minutes or so walk to the main part of the beach and centre of Bournemouth, but there is a short cut way somewhere near, going down to the beach like 2 mins from the hotel, but it's steps, so could not go with buggy. My boys and i loved our trip, always a beautiful haven for us, definitely coming back soon.

Only thing I can say is it could do with a little updating, especially the bath, but that's it. Next time I will book to stay here for sure, but will request to be on ground floor but that's only if I still have my double buggy then lol. No fault on Hotels part, I got around okay and fit through doorways....just and in the lift, my fault for bringing this big thing, was just a hassle going up and down a few steps really, with the occasional tight squeezes. . . But other than that was a very lovely stay. My son who is 5, told reception it's perfect as it has everything we need, bless him.

Separate areas for the beds was good in a family room as it gave a bit more privacy.

The double bed only had one bedside table (there was room for one on the other side). The tea bags made an awful cup of tea - both those in the room and at breakfast! It was also shocking trying to get hold of anyone as we had queries before we arrived. The contact details were limited to going through the booking website or the main hotel chain contact, I sent multiple emails before we came and only had one initial answer the rest were not replied to, and there was no phone number so I could ring the hotel direct. This added stress to our visit as our daughter is autistic so I needed to check all the finer details to reassure her (and us)!

This is one hotel that feels like a seaside town hotel and nothing less nor more. I have been here a few times now and each time I am not impressed but not offended. There are a few rooms. Yes, it is a bit aged but the hotel is clean. The rooms are not dirty. There is a bar. It is agreeable, with a lift for suitcases. It is close to town, beachfront, other hotels.

You can hear others talking or making noise. The corridors are not easy with a suitcase! Paying WiFi, I think. And no breakfast nor fresh coffee at the bar in the morning!

I stayed in 140, Just 2 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk from the local shops, the room was tidy, with clean towels. The reception team were great, very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return because of their helpfulness.

The pillows would be good if they were standard sized pillows as they appeared to be quite chunky and uncomfortable to sleep on. The floors were very creaky - especially in the bathroom.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times before and have always been happy with the quality of service and the quality of rooms as well as the ambiance, which compares very favourably with other higher star rated hotels.In fact it often excels them even in the same hotel group.I talk from personal experience !The staff are highly competent and professional while being unfailingly helpful and welcoming.I attribute this to the inspired leadership of the current manager,a highly trained professional,and this is reflected in the happy atmosphere of his staff and their dedicated teamwork.Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Location perfect in walking distance for town and seafront, staff very accommodating and friendly, was able to leave car in carpark at no extra cost after checkout so was able to spend the final day without having to find carparking elsewhere there was a good vibe in hotel and great value for money we will definitely return and would recommend to anyone

Could of done with more pillows on the bed but this was minor as we were only there for 2 nights so we didn't ask for more but I'm sure if we did it would of been possible, checkout was 10am we would of preferred 11am as we had a long drive back but again for us this is minor compared to our great stay
