Although a 15 minute walk from the city centre Queens Road compensated by having very little external noise - wood pigeons exempted - and was a very well kept property. Richard was very helpful when I arrived and made me welcome. My room was well furnished with a good supply of towels for the ensure, a kettle, TV and ironing board - I only used the kettle. It took me a while to become acquainted with the pressure and water temperature of the shower but I got the hang of it. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. I did a lot of walking over the weekend and the breakfast set me up very well for the rest of the day.

A few more tea bags available in the room would have been nice (I drink a lot of tea).

Richard is such a wonderful host. Gives a lot of good advices for Winchester. Location is great with approximate a 15 minute walk to the cathedral. There is no noise at all so we slept with an open window. Highlight has been the breakfast that Richard let on a tray and a table outside of the room at the agreed time. There was orange juice, coffee, tea, toast, croissant, butter, cheese, cornflakes, fruits, joghurt, fruitbars, etc. We had no idea that it will be possible to put so much on that tray. We will never forget this.

The only item that we struggled a bit with has been the temperature of the shower. It will take around 30 seconds until the temperature adjusts to the setting.

Only stayed one night but next time I am in Winchester I will definitely stay at 31 Queens Road again. I don't think I have ever slept better and I am absolutely sure that I have never had such a superb breakfast at any other time in my life. The premesis is located close to the delightful Winchester CBD and it's amazing cathedral. Richard is a gracious host with excellent information regarding local eateries and facilities.

Excellent continental style breakfast with a very wide variety of products (porridge oats, cereal, croissants, 3 types of fruit, cheese, muesli bar, pastry, preserves plus tea & coffee). Comfortable room and own entrance and parking. Easy walk to the town centre.

Electric shower was a rather weak and difficult to control the temperature.

Mr. Richard was very helpful on the first night and made sure we had enough beds, and made incredible breakfasts every morning. The most hospitable stay we've ever had. If you want an extra historical treat ask about the grandfather clock in the entryway!

Location was excellent, very close to the city centre yet really quiet. Breakfast was really good and much more than we expected.

My one suggestion is that you remove the leaves from the area in front of the garage. We parked there and felt very guilty as we brought leaves on our shoes into the beautifully clean house.

The place was amazing. Everything you could wish for was provided. Christmas touches were added The host was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the town and places to eat. Breakfast was absolutely out of this world. The menu was very extensive with so much choice. We would definitely recommend this place. if you are visiting. Great place to stay in Winchester.

Absolutely pleased with everything. One small note would be to leave more tea bags. We would have loved another cuppa 😊

I liked the room and bathroom and people. I liked the idea of getting breakfast delivered on a tray etc.

I think there should be choice of breakfast. I wasn’t asked anything about my dietary requirements so a lot of food was probably wasted because I don’t eat dairy etc. I wasn’t able to have all the food i would have liked either e.g. would have eaten cereal if there was other milk.

Lovely twin room with en suite bathroom. Richard was a very welcoming and considerate host. Breakfast tray was fully loaded with a nice selection of items. Clear instructions for check in were given pre-arrival and everything felt very well organised. We were attending an event at the University and the location was ideal.

No issues - we’d definitely stay again.

A very pleasant room in a lovely house. The landlord was really friendly & made me feel welcome. Although there was nobody greeting guests in person, the information left out was thorough & easy to follow.

It was very hot overnight, I think due to the thickness of the duvet. I had to sleep without it as I was too hot. There was no information about wifi that I could see on any of the welcome info, (I forgot to ask as well) so I assumed wifi wasn't available.
