Check in was quick and easy. Lovely, super friendly lady at the bar, who took us round to our room and gave us some information and booked us a table for dinner. Room wasn't anything amazing to look at, but it was tidy and clean, and had all we needed, and of course the added bonus that our dogs could stay . Nice little courtyard area that the dogs / children were able to potter about it. This area is only a short distance to the car park, then the road, with no gate - something to be aware of if you have wandering dogs. Breakfast was included in our stay and was a nice start to the day. The lady who checked us in was working again. She gave us lots of information about the ponies and surrounding areas / places to go etc, chatted with the children and gave the dogs a big fuss. Would definitely return if we needed dog friendly facilities again.

Hot tub was the main reason for our stay and this lived up to expectation with good privacy too. Pleasantly surprised by the standard of food in the pub itself and super friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Room was also really warm.

Room felt very dated and seemed not to have been used for a significant period of time prior to our arrival. Quite dusty and the bathroom seemed a bit grubby. Hot tub area was poorly lit and could be improved with a shelter above the hot tub. Bed was quite uncomfortable (2 singles zipped together to make a double).

We checked in later than expected and were met met by very friendly staff that checked us in and showed us to our room. We were very happy with the room from the moment we stepped through the door. It was clean tidy and well laid out with and amazing bathroom. We were visiting from New Zealand to meet family and the staff even gave us 30 minutes or so after close to keep talking as it was only visit for ten years, thank you to all the staff, and thanks to the chef for lovely meals in the evening. Brealfast the following day was also excellent and again served with a smile from the fabulous staff, Myself and my daughter loved the stay.

Nothing could have been better, for us it was perfect.

The breakfast was very good. We also had an evening meal the night before and this was very good and very large.

There was a strange humming noise in our room. It was like an extraction fan. It came on for a minute or two and then went off and it kept doing this. I think it stopped about 2am. It was not actually in the room. I mentioned it to the Chef because he asked me if we had enjoyed our stay which we had apart from this. We have been on a cruise so have not had Wi-Fi so couldn’t give you feed back sooner.

Very nice room and venue. Exceptionally clean in all areas. Lovely seating area outside properties to enjoy gardens. Food high quality and cooked to perfection. Very good service in restaurant and bar area. Barmaid managed some unruly customers in a courteous, professional effective manner to encourage the customers to tone down their behaviour and consider others. Dog friendly. Great parking. Free WiFi .

Needed a facility in the room or outside in porch for muddy boots and wet coats. A tray for boots is a simple solution and the family room we stayed in would benefit from an area to hang any coats but especially wet ones. Loved the stay so much disappointed unable to book for a week as venue closed Mon to Weds .

The room was a good size, clean and very comfortable. The hot drink options were really nice and the cups a decent size. Loved the hand wash. Nice towels too. The pub was popular and busy most of my stay but it was quiet at night so I got a good night's sleep. The beer garden is cool and the whole place is very dog friendly.

The room was hot, it was obviously hot weather but even with the windows open all night it was muggy.

Great out buildings at the back of the pub, with its very own private patio area and large hot tub, just outside your gate is 2 very spacious pub gardens with eating areas.Very dog friendly and great staff, location for the New Forrest is superb.

There was nothing to complain about, even the reduce pub menu due to time of year was very tasty food. I would advice the place to put a door matt at the patio doors to help protect their carpets, especially in winter.

we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. the family room was large with plenty of room, and the bathroom huge. the rooms are at the side in a beautiful courtyard and the gardens are very pretty. the food at the pub is exceptional, we had dinner there. breakfast was included with the room and there is plenty of choice. the breakfast was outstanding, fresh and delicious. overall and excellent stay, a few minutes from Lyndhurst and an excellent base for visiting the new forest.

Lovely setting, easy to find, peaceful and staff friendly

We were in the annexe with Jacuzzi on terrace which was lovely, but definitely needs a plug socket by the dressing table/desk where the mirrors are to enable one to use hairdryer and hot brush! The coffee/kettle was very fiddly to use! Just an ordinary kettle would have sufficed.

Ideal for a family or a couple staying in the area for a night or two, exploring the surroundings or on the way to Beaulieu. Beautiful Fordingbridge within easy walking distance, and the Three Lions themselves are a lovely brand-new renovated but traditional pub and inn.

Breakfast is not included in the price by default, we missed that, but it was not a problem for us as we headed further south early in the morning.
