The room was as advertised, clean and comfortable with everything working. Having read previous not so great reviews people need to consider that they are booking a room in a pub intended for short stays, for me it was perfect for what i needed. I needed to do some work in the evenings and sat downstairs in the pub so that i could spread myself out at a table, there's a nice atmosphere between the bar staff and the locals.

A smart TV would have been a bonus but not a deal breaker!

Lovely old fashioned pub.. wonderful beers great bar staff especially lad on lunchtime he was so helpful.. could have been welcomed better but place was excellent and room very good bed very comfortable… would stay here again

Just the welcome by the lady at reception. We went to see what had to be done especially with the parking costs but she kept saying 2 pm which was and hour away before she would explain… she wasn’t very welcoming and could have put us off but fortunately it didn’t as the lad behind the bar helped us and was excellent

Quintessential hotel accommodation with warm and inviting atmosphere. Clean room with en suite bathroom and TV. Breakfast served at an affordable price. Friendly staff. Bar lounge, dining area and very good meals. Excellent location on High Street in Ringwood. Walking distance to local shops, restaurants and bus stop.

Reception desk would not book me a local taxi. Reception desk had no adapter to allow me to charge my device from the wall socket.

Service was truly superb, food was good and prices were fair. Car parking was free with registration. Emma, our hostess was simply wonderful, looking after our needs and displaying a surprising physical strength.

Our room although adequate was very small. The bed - the most important part of a hotel room - was perfect and we enjoyed great sleeps. However it was a very, very small room and we often bumped into corners or edges.

Great base for New forest and places of interest, shopping, beaches Staff always accommodating Menu food was excellent Rooms perfect and very clean We visit and stay every year, hotel has and is ongoing upgrades with decorating etc. Staff were amazing Pool table and dart board in place with plenty of room Assistant Manager very polite and friendly , accommodated to all our needs. Our best stay in many years Food was very impressive

It was easy to find, good parking and in the centre of ringwood so easy to access restaurants etc. The rooms were clean and comfy and breakfast was delicious.

The greeting! On arrival we had to register our car and were told to wait while the lady served three customers at the bar. She eventually took us round the corner and pulled out the screen to register the car. There were two additional staff members sitting by the screen who could have served us had she told us to walk around there.

Breakfast options were good &tasty but never. Offered a 2nd cup of tea or coffee. Quaint atmosphere & helpful, friendly staff

Fans & heaters caked with dust Window didn’t open for fresh air or ventilation Door lock very difficult to open As a senior climbing a flight of outdoor back stairs was a challenge

I liked the room it was cosy, warm and clean perfect for what I wanted. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean. It was quiet and I felt very safe on my own as a single woman. Great access to the car park too. I didn’t have breakfast as I did t have time but the pub was lovely and I can imagine the breakfast would be good!

Me being super picky but maybe some more sachets of milk and those Nescafé sachets 3 in 1 coffee- the coffee I made in the morning in the room waa I drinkable! Perhaps kettle was old. A very small detail but might make a difference !

Excellent location by the new forest. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff were brilliant and being a coeliac having access to hot food is normally a nightmare but here they had a full gluten free menu and staff with allergy training. The food was perfect.

Very friendly welcome and we were looked after really well throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, but we didn't sample any other meals. The bedroom was quite small, but very clean and didn't distract from our stay. The main thing was the wonderful staff, who looked after us really well. I would definitely stay here again.
