Perfect location for exploring the New Forest. Beautiful public areas inside the hotel especially the restaurant and bar area which looked out over the terrace and garden. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food! Had dinner for two out of the three nights of our stay which was very enjoyable. Breakfast was really good value, two courses all in, with the B&B rate…would suggest investment in a barista coffee machine at some point as filter coffee is currently the only option. Overall we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this charming hotel.

The rooms that my party had been allocated were very tired and the furnishings a little scruffy. Lovely size and comfortable and clean but compared to the public areas, the decor was really disappointing. I hope that they are part of a program of upgrading in due course. We are however very grateful to the staff for being sensitive to the requirement for our rooms to be as close to the stairs as possible, due to the mobility issues of one of our party.

We were upgraded to a really lovely room - very spacious, tastefully decorated with a superb bathroom, nice garden views. Staff were courteous and helpful. Very dog friendly. Excellent location for both New Forest and coast. Nice and large rewilded gardens with terrace looking out over.

Our stay was let down by breakfast. Almost 30 minutes from ordering to arriving of cooked part despite only 3 couples staying. Toast, croissant and coffee which arrived soon were cold by then. Omelet was paper thin, crisped to brown on the outside, little taste and consistency of newspaper. Sausages burnt to charcoal on one side. Sad, because everything else was excellent.

The parking for our vintage car was very secure. The breakfasts were excellent. Our Cosy Loft Room was perfect for our needs except that to begin with there was no hair drier. (That was quickly resolved.) The Cosy Loft requires the ascent of 40 steps - not for the less mobile members of the community! The gardens and terrace are delightful and peaceful. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere which helped us bond with both staff, who were very attentive to the needs of guests, and other people staying at The Manor. We will certainly recommend the hotel to our friends.

We felt that the dinner menus might have been rather more exciting, especially for stays of a week. However, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Manor at Sway.

The hotel is an old converted Manor House into a welcoming atmosphere. The room was tastefully decorated with all amenities. The staff were friendly and polite. The attached restaurant served a variety of meals and the chef was accommodating when we needed him to serve us something different for our dietary needs. There’s plenty of parking which was unusual when we checked out other places. Highgate castle is about 15 minutes drive as we were there for an occasion and found the beautiful beach would be perfect location to Bournemouth. We are looking forward to coming back in a holiday mode with our family. Also it’s easy access into the New Forest for what the whole area is famous for.

The manor was very comfortable and in lovely grounds. The staff were very helpful and responsive to any request or question. A very nice breakfast was included either full English or Continental or both. Would definitely stage again.

The hotel played music constantly, in dinig and lounging areas, which, to our ears, was too loud and not really in keeping with the quiet country surroundings. However, staff did turn the volume down somewhaton on request. Of course, this is a matter of personal taste and others may have a different view.

Large comfortable and clean rooms, decor to a high standard. Peaceful with relaxing views. Polite friendly staff.

Disappointed that despite booking a meal in the restaurant for 8.15pm, we were told at 9.45pm that we were too late to order desert as chef had gone home. There was no advance warning of this. Breakfast was good and carefully prepared but breakfast didn’t start until 8am so we were a bit rushed for our 9am deadline. The option of a cold buffet for an earlier breakfast might an idea.

Decor and staff on late night arrival, were lovely and helpful. Breakfast room staff a little grumpy, forgot toast after a few requests, think as were checking out guests and serving breakfast. But lovely setting and decor and breakfast was lovely with good choice.

we stayed in the top floor, no lift, so was steep stairs up the final climb, the lovely lady who checked us in helped and insisted on carrying out bag, which was appreciated. The room was very warm and bed was not comfortable, although linen and pillows were comfortable. Would stay again and request ground floor.

The overall hotel was good but lacked atmosphere. The car park and guest lounge and bar were large. Gardens were good but unfortunately we didn’t have the weather to use it. We were upgraded to a slightly bigger room.

The wasn’t any atmosphere in the hotel. It lack that feel good factor. The rooms were not refreshed during our stay so did not have any new bottled water or tea etc. the breakfast was ok but definable not over generous. It won’t take much to make this hotel a wow just a little more warmth with the customers

The accommodation was comfortable. The food was good and staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner, which was helpful after a long day of walking in the New Forest. Nice to be able to relax in the evening with a view over the back garden from the restaurant.

We stayed in one of the basic rooms, which was fine. The shower flooded the bathroom! The bed was comfortable and a good size. It had everything we needed for a 2 night stay.

A warm welcome from reception, very helpful and pleasant. Hotel was spotless, excellent dining area and a lovely evening meal. Very pleasant sitting area on the patio overlooking the gardens.

We had a 'Cosy' room on the first floor, very comfortable bed, but lacked comfortable seating, and no drawer space apart from a small drawer in each of two bedside tables. For our two night stay it was fine, but another time we would choose a standard room.
