Location, warm welcome, cleanliness, very friendly and very accommodating,. Excellent evening meal (new and flavoursome selection). Great choice of wine. Pre dinner cocktails were well received and nice to be able to use lovely garden area. Our bedrooms (3) were all lovely. The fans were definitely appreciated given recent heat. Lovely bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent. Wonderful choice, great coffee 😀 We cannot praise Mark & Emmanuelle enough and their staff. We are just trying to establish another date we can stay. Village has well stock items and pub across the road is lovely.
Absolutely nothing.

The property was clean and tide and absolutely as advertised. It was easy to get in and out even late at night. There is electric car parking right outside, a small convenience store 40m away and a pub across the road. The showers were great with great pressure and beds and pillows comfortable. Basic necessities were also provided like coffee in the room and milk in a fridge in the hall way, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic and hosts very welcoming
I was staying as a single person and I didn’t like at breakfast being placed at the cereal counter. People automatically defaulted to using my table as a place to put their bowls down whilst they toasted the bread or poured their cereal. It also felt very much like you were on show for people to talk to you. That was the only slightly annoying thing. Secondly as they say in adverts everywhere, there is no signal in the whole area unless you are vodacom.

We liked the welcome: both are caring and excellent hosts. The food provided was out of this world! We asked if we could dine in but had not booked a meal: for others do so as we are not the only ones who think the food is exceptional. We were told that they were fully booked it being a Saturday evening. But half an hour later they had a cancellation and we were in! Gorgeous food well presented. The breakfast was excellent too. Definitely on our bucket list for a return when we are back in the area.
Unfortunately someone had left the heated towel rail blasting away: and with the ambient temperature at 25 degrees it became unbearable and bled the temperature into the bedroom. In the morning, too late, I discovered how to switch it off. It might be worth the hosts checking it before they have guests in future.

Beautiful B&B. Lovely host. Great breakfast. I will back to taste the restaurant for sure. Thank you :)
In my room there were spiders on the celling and old spider web. I say normal in countryside but I have arachnophobia so tried my best not think about it. Duvet was for winter season, will be great to have a summer one. I saw comment about this.

Such a lovely, cosy, friendly place with delicious breakfast and dinner (also a variety of vegetarian options and alcohol free drinks). In a reachable distance to the We out here festival (on foot on the Jubilee trail approx. an hour walk). A perfect accommodation right on the Jubilee trail. We love that place. Thanks to Mark (host and chef) and his fantastic team 💚

Loved the country decor, window boxes, plus dinner and breakfast very tasty. Perfect location for walking to a local music event. Comfy beds and fresh milk available for making coffee or tea in your room. Liqueur coffees in the lounge a lovely end to one evening. Staff very approachable. Would def recommend for a relaxing escape.
It was all good - would recommend x

La Fosse was very welcoming yet unobtrusive, with a very friendly and warm feel. A lovely property, and great food - perfect for a couple of nights stay whilst I was attending a wedding. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Things were looking good from the moment I parked in the street, when 2 passing teenagers on their bikes said they’d heard it was a great place , and wished me a good stay.

We were delighted with the quality and variety of the food- we stayed for 3 nights and were especially pleased with the tasting menu which we thought was exceptional value for money, particularly with the addition of the complementary wines (not complimentary!) Everyone was very friendly and helpful and Mark the chef-patron was obviously very involved with the quality of his ingredients. His knowledge of Dorset cheeses certainly impressed a mere northerner. The room was a good size and very very reasonably priced. We had a wonderful time and did 2 great walks from the door onto the downs.
There is no private parking but there are plenty of parking spaces on the street close by, so not really a dislike!

A lovely stay, although we didn’t meet the owners, the young lady who welcomed us was attentive, polite, informative and generally lovely. Breakfast was great, plenty of it and cooked lovely.
WiFi outside only worked for vodaphone customers so our sat nav stopped working on entering the village and didn’t start again till outside! I found the duvet a little thick, I say this most places I go, would be nice to have a choice on booking.

Lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Some nice touches like fresh milk and chilled bottled water in a fridge on the landing. Breakfast was excellent - a great buffet and and then hot food cooked to order. Would highly recommend.
Nothing!
