Stella de Mare is a simple and very clean hotel, perfect for a relaxing stay. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive. They took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the island – what to see, where to go, what to do – and were always there if we needed anything. Their warm welcome and care really made us feel at home. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place with amazing hospitality, this is the one!

I stayed at this property recently and absolutely loved my experience. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Every detail made me feel right at home. The location is perfect and Massimo was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. Owners lovely and the short talk about what to do on the island including a map really good and helpful. The room was big and the bathroom very good. Breakfast was self serve and ready from 7.30.

In my search term for this booking I had Palau and had no understanding at all that the km outside Palau actually meant a ferry trip to an island. However, it worked out and the island is lovely. The location of the accommodation on this island is quite a distance from the town or beaches (a car is necessary), and the lack of access to any outside area at all not even if you were prepared to walk a bit. Long, light evenings and warm weather; the last thing you want is to be indoors! This is the kind of place you leave early in the morning and come back to sleep.

The place is amazing. Both Massimo and Briggitte are lovely and responsive, helping with reccomendations. Breakfast is just what you need to keep you going till lunchtime- tea, coffee, milk, yogurts and some sweet pastries. Parking is also easy accessible, just next to the property. The room was nice and clean, well equipped, shower perfectly functional and a bidet.

Lovely B&B run by Massimo and his wife. Nicely decorated, room to a very high standard, good breakfast and a very helpful and friendly host who gave us a map on arrival and explained all of the places worth visiting, which saved us a lot of time. Parking available in front of the property and the port (where most tourists cummulate) is only a short, 10 minute walk. Great location for exploring both la maddalena and capprera, away from expensive restaurants and hoards of tourists. Would much recommend the I Capatosta restaurant 5 minute walk from the B&B that is popular with yes locals and offers amazing menu and really tasty food with fantastic service!

The owner was super helpful and friendly - he gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The location was a little out of town but we really enjoyed the evening walks to the centre. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was more than we expected.

The owners were super kind, they prepared with all the special food we needed at breakfast and gave us maps with suggested spots and walks. Loved the huge bathroom and the smell of the beautiful jasmine bushes around the house.

Our room on the first floor was faced to a narrow uphill street so sometimes the cars and motorcycles were a bit loud.

The property is just outside the main center, in a very calm area. The hosts Massimo and Brigitte are extremely welcoming and nice along all your stay. Since I came solo and without car they offered to drive me to Caprera where the bus could not arrive. The room is spacious and clean and the breakfast is abundant.

The room was big, clean and on the first floor which made it really bright. Every day there was small breakfast waiting for guests. Coffee and snacks were always available in the shared kitchen. The place was 10-15 min walk from city centre but that’s to this it was always really easy to find parking spot or leave for the beach. Host greeted us and gave all necessary information for our stay. We will definitely be back there!

The stay was exceptional! My mom and I stayed there for three nights and it was an amazing experience! I have been to many places, including most of the tourist destinations in Italy, but only Stella di Mare had such a high level of service. Our hosts offered to meet and take us from the port of La Maddalena to the place! Clearly explained how to get around the island, how to get to the beaches and all! Since I don't have a driver's license, our kind hosts drove us, showed us all the bus stops to get to all the beaches of La Maddalena and Caprera Island, and dropped us off at the most beautiful place - Bassa Trinita beach. After three great days in Stella di Mare, Massimo drove us back to the port and we set off for Palau. I highly recommend this place for its exceptional service, well equipped rooms, good breakfasts and the extraordinary hospitality of Massimo and Bridget! P.S. When booking this place, I read some of the comments and complaints about the breakfast. Breakfast suited me perfectly, simple cornettos were served with different jams for every taste. Snacks and drinks (juice, coffee) were fine too
