The rooms at Controvento are very attractively designed and furnished. We had a room with a view, which if you care about such things, is clearly worth it. As an old guy and a technophobe, I was nervous about the online check-in process. It turned out to be very simple. And Valentina was at the other end of WhatsApp to answer any and all questions remotely (and at breakfast time in person). The beds and the bathroom are of superior quality. Cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast had good variety. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

Not a complaint, but an FYI, one must be able to climb about 30 steps to access the B&B. That in fact is a healthy accompaniment to the great Sardinian food in La Maddalena.

Perfect location with a very short walk to main area of restaurants. Absolutely beautiful views of the sea from the windows and private terrace. The apartment feels very new and updated. The management was very responsive and helpful through the stay. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. Well appointed kitchen. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again. We found it easy to find free street parking nearby but we were there before the busy tourism season so consider using the available paid lot in busiest months. Definitely recommend a sea view room if possible but if not there is a large, shared terrace on the top floor with little tables to enjoy the view.

Very nice and newly renovated room (probably better than other locations) with a great shared roof top terrace. The city center and harbor of La Maddalena as well as several restaurants can be reached within walking distance. The room also features a small balcony with chairs. The host was always reachable via WhatsApp.

The view from the room was only partial sea view (not sea view as indicated) and an old building was what we looked at. The breakfast was okay but in other hotels we had more and better options. The room is located directly at a street which was quite loud during the night. There is either a private parking with a fee (5€/day) or you need to find a public parking spot. We were there in off saison and always found one after a short search but I could imagine that during the season this can be tough.

Very comfortable beds with great powerful showers, there was a good view from the room and even better from the roof terrace the sunrise from up there was great.. the host was a very friendly and helpful lady. The location is only a short 10 minute walk to the centre where there are lots of bars and restaurants to try. All in all a lovely little modern B&B

Parking in the private parking facility was 5 euro a night so I paid that as we was only staying for 4 nights.. I wouldn't trust parking on the streets around there as I seen cars squeezing into tight spots bumping other cars and not even caring that they had done that I wouldn't fancy risking a hire car getting damaged

location was great, short walk to the harbor. very friendly staff. rooms very nice furnished with nice bathroom. good breakfast - for our 1 night stay the perfect place.

there is nothing I didn't like but a few things to consider. the room at the back has no view - however, for a short stay where you do not plan to spend much time in the room- not at issue at all. however, for a longer stay I would prefer a room with a view. The information that you need to go up quiet some steps to get to the entrance - I could not find on booking.com but was only provided by the owner after the booking. therefore for someone with difficulties to carry a suitcase up some stairs or walk up it would not be pretty difficult. we were lucky to be able to get one of the car parks close by - in high season this might be a problem.

Controvento is a modern and tastefully recently renovated B&B. Seaside rooms are really nice and bright, rooms at the back also nice and quiet. In the early evening the location becomes an oasis of tranquillity at a short walking distance from the little port and the many fine tratoria. Fine is also the roof terrace, nice for a rest in the evening sun. Breakfast is really good by Italian standards. Fruit juice, yoghurt,cereals, various breads, tasty dolci, fresh coffee. In short, a solid base for a fine exploration of this unique nature reserve. You can park nearby on the way back to the little port or pay in their private parking place. Activities such as canoeing and sailing trips can be booked. The owner provides more than enough info just before your stay to make you feel welcome right away

In the late afternoon, the mopeds can be a bit present, but of course it's still on the outskirts of town. Please do not consider this a reason not to book for Controvento.

The amenities in the house are great, everything is clean and fresh-smelling, with all the materials you need for comfortable accommodation, very nice decor and a great breakfast. There's also tourist information about the island in the hallway and an information leaflet in your room. The beaches are beautiful. I loved my experience!

What I liked least was the noise from the room next door, I thought they were too comfortable and didn't care if they were disturbing anyone. But anyway...

Great B&B! The room is great and there’s a lot of storage space. Shower is good, bed is comfortable and everything is brand new. We had a small issue with the air con but Valentina sorted out for us very quickly and efficiently. The location is great too, you are close to restaurants and shops but not in the middle of everything. I’m a light sleeper and I had no issues with outside noise. Overall our stay was great!

I think having more options for breakfast would be nice, but that didn’t impact our stay at all.

This is a really nice new apartment that was exceptionally clean and located within a 10 minute walk from the center of the town. Breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. Valentina and her staff were very welcoming and professional to deal with. Valentina gave us great advice on beaches to visit due to the winds on the day and especially our visit to beautiful Cala Coticcio and Spiaggia del Relitto. Her knowledge of the islands made our trip so much more interesting and worthwhile. I would highly recommend staying here.

🔝Really nice new structure, well organized , very clean and with an excellent service. In the ground floor they have a corridor with rooms in both sides and at the kitchen area for breakfast only. In the upper floor the is an outstanding rooftop area with tall tables and chairs , with a great view of the port. 🛏️Our room was facing the back but it was quite luminous, quiet and spacious. For an extra price the view of the sea is beautiful. The bathroom is new and spacious, with a comfortable shower. 🥐Breakfast was nice with a wide assortment and some delicious handmade cakes, both sweet & salty. 🛎️Valentina was very kind and friendly, she was very fast communicating with us and very profesional ( we did the check in online and 24h before provided the self check in via WhatsApp). 🅿️There are some parking spots on the street & Valentina also recommended a private parking for 5€ a day close by. 📍Location is perfect to reach by car the different areas around the Island and within walking distance to the city center.

Only the stairs to reach the B&B were a bit uncomfortable. But just being picky
