We’ve stayed at McLeod’s Cottage before, and returned this time again, because we absolutely love this place! It’s a little home away from home. The private little garden is great for the kids to play. Everything inside the cottage is comfortable, beautiful and clean. Elmarie is also such welcoming and accommodating host, and can’t thank her enough for her hospitality! Thank you!
The internet can be a bit patchy but everything else is so perfect it’s not really worth complaining about.

The location is great. Close to main roads, but in a peaceful area. The cottage is clean and well equipped. The hosts are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our stay was so comfortable that based on our initial experience we had booked another 7 days, following the first visit. There was a break of only two days in between the visits.
We liked the cleanliness, quietness and privacy. The location is close to town where there are a number of coffee shops you can visit. The establishment is not far from access to the R44 and N2 Roads.

The host's hospitality, ooh my word🥰 We walked into the cottage and my kids immediately said mama, you need to rate this as a five star🥰 The cleanliness, the extra warm blankets and heater, the freshness of the fruits they displayed, the supply of fresh warm towels, incase one forgot their soap and shampoo, there were large bottles of supply. I could write a book with how happy I am with my stay, loooooooved it🥰

The kindness and caring personality of our host, Elmarie, made us feel right at home. The clean room and superb interior was welcoming and calming ! The cutlery is hand picked, the shower very comfortable and the beds cozy and comfortable after a hot and exhausting day ! The fruit basket gave it the final touch ! A home away from home ! We will most recommend it to anyone and we will defenitely visit again !
The fact that there's no aircon. That would be first prize.

Great location, friendly and helpful owners, comfortable living (bed mattress is good), well equipped, clean, lovely extra touches (soaps, welcome milk in fridge, treats in jar), private with small garden, super hot shower, off road parking.
Minor personal preference issue..furnishings somewhat eclectic (but very well equipped) and a carpet throughout would be preferable especially during winter season (cosier).

Loved the little touches like fresh milk in the fridge, a selection of fresh fruit, shortbread and biscuits. We also really enjoyed playing the board games available. And the dishwasher is a winner. Who wants to do dishes on holiday.
Nothing! It was great.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The bed was really comfortable and the walk-in shower was lovely, with lots of hot water and very nice products. What made this place more special were all the extra touches - a variety of real (not plastic!) plants, the mix of old and new furniture, comfortable outdoor seating, fresh fruit and tasty coffee. The owners are friendly and helpful and I would happily recommend this place.
Minor irritations really - the doorstop in the bathroom is in the wrong place - kept stubbing my toe! And I would have liked a thicker kitchen blind,to filter the outside lights.

The most accommodating hostess, Elmarie. Classy decor and quality appliances. Well stocked, extremely clean cottage. Attention to detail exquisite. Lovely touch of a full fruit bowl and a huge bottle of imported biscuits. Centrally situated and easy to find. We will definitely stay at McLeod's & Stuart's Cottage again.
