I travel frequently and, as such, stay in many hotels. In general, I prefer comfortable accommodations in the upscale price range. In this particular case, however, it was the absence of such a hotel in the area, combined with the overwhelmingly positive reviews, that led me to choose this small boutique hotel. From the very moment I arrived, my hosts took care of me in a way that is almost indescribable. The hotel has been tastefully and lovingly designed and decorated by its owners, Clayton and Rachel. The cozy restaurant, under the guidance of its talented chef Amanda, prepared incredible dishes for me every evening in its traditional Andalusian wood-fired oven. Even the lovingly prepared breakfast was both a visual and culinary delight, providing the perfect start to each day. After six nights, I found it genuinely difficult to say goodbye—it felt like leaving close friends. One thing is absolutely certain: I will be back, soon, and I’m already looking forward to it.

We thoroughly loved this quick overnight stay to relax and unwind. We wish we would have had more time and now plan to return. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, and a very comfy bed! The owners make the stay even more inviting. Delicious pizza with a great thin and crispy crust! We asked for some jalapenos and they had them and added them for us. 🤗 Unique, affordable and good wine list that they say changes often so always something new and wonderful to discover. A very nice breakfast. The pool and jacuzzi are great to just chill and read a book by or sip a drink on the terrace or patio. The area is gorgeous with many interesting hiking/walking areas around. We want to return to explore them. Fantastic!!! Worth staying here!

Not a dislike but rather comments: There are no other restaurants or bars within an easy (less than 15 minutes) walk. Forgot to suggest this-not a complaint: The room #5 could use a mirror on the wall above the chair where the plugs are to use the hairdryer. The bathroom is small and with two people time is precious in the bathroom where the only plug and mirror are. There is another mirror in the room but no plug.

The best thing about this place are the people who run it, Amanda, Clayton & Rachel. They made my birthday get away exceptional. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble and that’s before I get started on the food. The pizza’s are really special having been cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. Even the locals from villages nearby come for their take away pizza. The rest of the menu is varied and cooked to order and maybe not what you expect in the middle of rural Spain. This is a great place to retreat from the busy coast or Cities and the surrounding villages give you a taste of real Spain. Well done you guys and thank you.

I ate too much

This hotel was a total surprise, situated in a small village, away from the main tourist area. Beautifully restored converted into a very comfortable hotel with outdoor space for dining and relaxing. The hosts Rachel and Clay are so welcoming and helpful. Clay is also the chef and an excellent one, cooking local dishes. He will also respond to any dietary needs that you have. Rachel, Clayton and Amanda were brilliant. So warm, cheerful and welcoming. Very relaxed vibe. English speaking hosts, who also helped us find an English speaking mechanic for our car! The decoration and special meal for St Valentine's was really cute. Great bar. Surrounded by olives. almonds, etc

It is a bit isolated, and need to head off further afield for activities, cafes, bars etc. It was also a bit chilly once the sun went down (It was Feb!).

The location is lovely and the staff are fantastic. Rachel, Clay and Amanda looked after us as though we were staying in their home. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was huge and super comfy. The food was great and we loved that everything was local from the vegetables to the olive oil

We thought the pool was open all the time, however this didn't spoil our stay and we didn't miss it

We were made to feel very welcome despite being (virtually) the only gusts in this small hotel. Rachel and her partner Clay were superb hosts, friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were simple, but tasty and fresh and in a lovely location within the hotel - courtyard/ entrance with beautiful plants and a water garden /coi carp pond. We didn't really eat in the restaurant apart from our day of arrival when we chose something basic, so difficult to judge food quality. The bedroom was excellent - lovely big bed, plenty of storage and a fine bathroom.

There was nothing we didn't like, and whilst not a particular criticism a constructive comment might be to renew the loungers around the pool which were a little tired and not hugely comfy!

It’s a lovely little place in literal nowhere, rural Spain. A very warm welcome from hosts and owners Rachel and Clay, Amanda and the other British staff. It has a lovely little pool, a great little restaurant if you don’t fancy a short jaunt to beautiful nearby towns of Lubrin or Sorbas.

If I were being picky there were a lot of British ex pats and tourists which was something we didn’t want but it’s a minor, minor complaint. There are two dogs chained up by a local next door that barked sometimes during the night which was annoying but that’s rural spain for you

Good friendly service. The restaurant dinners and lovely generous breakfast were particularly good. Excellent cooking, a variety of tasty dishes all skilfully cooked in the fab wood fired oven by Amanda and Clayton. We were well looked after and our dog loved the location and country walks. Dog friendly team which was much appreciated. Well worth a trip to the countryside.

It was wonderful from arrival to departure. Lovely friendly owners. Beautiful setting, restaurant, building and the family room was wonderful!! Spanish style etc. Fantastic. Now my husbands favourite hotel of all time! A real gem of a place and worthing driving out to. Restaurant and setting was also amazing, enjoyed thoroughly by all the family. Oh, and the spanish breakfast.... fantastic!! One of my kids favourite breakfasts ever!!! Can't fault a thing..... all lovely!
