The location is fabulous. And the views from the terrace for breakfast are outstanding. The fresh breakfast is lovely and the homemade marmalade absolutely delicious! The honesty bar is a lovely touch. Alberto and miki are friendly and helpful

Unfortunately the old building (which is beautiful) has noisy plumbing. We could hear showering from other guests. For us it was just too noisy. We were moved straight away once we mentioned it and this did help. I'm sure nothing can be done about this and perhaps we were just noise sensitive. Perhaps the balcony rooms wouldn't have this problem. But we still enjoyed our stay, it's just something to be aware of.

We had a very nice two day stay at the lovely Boutique Hotel El Oliver, a quaint and well run, family owned boutique hotel in old town Mojacar, with it's cobblestone streets and old town charm. The hotel owners (Alberto and Miki) are a delightful, hard-working young couple who clearly take pride in providing their guests a comfortable stay. The personalized rooftop breakfast was delicious, with poached eggs, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice, as well as many other options. The rooms were cozy and comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Our room had a balcony and, additionally, there is a rooftop patio with great views and an "honesty" bar. The location within the old town was perfect with easy access to the many restaurants and shops. For those who struggle with being at the beach or in quaint "old town", not to worry, as beach access is a pleasant 20 minute downhill walk OR you can catch the local bus for just over a Euro. My wife and I are in our 70's and the walk to the beach was an easy, pleasant walk and there are three buses per hour to return to old town. We arrived on motorcycles and were provided secure, underground parking under the hotel for a nominal charge. We will definitely return to Hotel El Oliver, next time we are visiting the area.

Fantastic to see a young couple delivering such a personalised experience. From artistic touches to what must rank as one of the most complete, quality personalised breakfasts, this deserves far more than the 3 stars of its rating. The rooftop terrace is private and an excellent spot to appreciate the views or to sunbathe. Breakfast in the breakfast room is a calming, relaxed experience. Lovely !

Be careful of the stairs going down inside the property but perfectly understandable given it is built on a mountainside. A few non-Sapnish TV stations, even of a news channel, would have been welcome

Very lovely hosts, knowledgeable and super helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! Hotel is well equipped for it's size and modern. The services offered are well thought out and useful. The rooms are very clean, the beds are very comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. The views from our balcony were outstanding. There is an honesty bar so help yourself and be honest and pay for what you use. A lovely roof terrace with a shower and lounging facilities. There is no lift but there are accessible rooms on the ground floor. Secure underground parking is extra but very useful. The hotel is well located to access everything in the town easily. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Nothing haha everything was really amazing

We liked the atmosphere, the relaxed feeling and the staff the whole experience was great. I smashed a bottle of red wine when we arrived I contacted the staff and Alfredo came to clean it up within minutes. The breakfast was fab too, quite a choice from fresh fruit, toastado served with tomatoes, cheese and serrano ham all served on the terrace. It's a great location we booked 3 nights but could have had another here.

The towels could do with replacing, only to keep in line with the standard of the rest of the hotel. The shower head attachment didn't fit properly. Although it didn't spoil our stay, but these are little things we did observed.

The lovely warm welcome and introduction to the hotel. The staff were so helpful and proud of their hotel. My room had amazing views, it was clean and comfortable. My breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent, really fresh fruit and a freshly baked croissant with home made jam, and those excellent views again. The whole place was crammed with feel good factors, it was peaceful, calm and restoring.

The route to the hotel, when you entered the old town was a challenge to find, once there the location is perfect, a quiet haven in an attractive bustling small town.

El Olivar completely justified my wife & my decision to book the mountain view room, for our visit to Mojacar Pueblo - April 9-11/4/2024. Alberto & Mikey were perfect hosts & nothing was too much trouble, if we wanted help or information. Thoroughly enjoyed our continental type breakfasts. Our selections of fresh orange juice, croissants, cheese & ham baguettes, tea & coffee were taken in the pleasant upstairs dining room, where there are also many other eats & drinks available to purchase, via an 'honesty box'. Our room was clean, though basic with a kettle accompanied by tea & coffee, on a corner shelf. Bed very comfortable. Good size bathroom especially enjoyed the the shower closet. WOW. Small boutique hotel in centre of old town Mojacar pueblo. Fantastic room with lovely small balcony with spectacular views over part of the town towards the surrounding hills and countryside. The hosts were superb and went out of their way to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Good and fresh choice at breakfast served to your table. Lovely rooftop area for sunbathing or enjoying a drink from the honesty bar. Bookable parking available at underground car park very close to hotel but the main town car park is not far away. All perfect and great value.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Communication before arrival was helpful and check in was straightforward. The owners were very welcoming to their hotel. Nothing was rushed. We were made to feel at home straight away. Our room was spacious and clean. All fittings were high spec. We particularly enjoyed the roof top area in the early evening and made good use of the 'honesty' bar. It was noticeable how open and relaxed other guests were at the hotel and we met some interesting people. This is a positive reflection of the ambience that had been created there. The hotel is perched high up in Mojacar with amazing views across the surrounding area. The town is beautiful with many bars, cafes and restaurants near to the hotel. Our breakfast was very good. We would fully recommend the hotel to other travellers. The owners have made it perfect.

The breakfast was amazing and very tasty, and the staff was super lovely and helpful! The location is good, right on top of the hill in the center of the village. However, going up and down the hill is not the best idea. The buses worked pretty well, though.

the bathroom door was not closing completely because of the structure it has, so staying with a friend it could be weird sometimes to shower and use the toilet.
