The fact that the pool was 9ft deep. Parking was great, and the location was walking distance to many places. Staff was friendly.

Every day I had to go to the office so they could give me access to open my room. The cards kept on demagnetizing and it was annoying. Even thought there’s a sign at the pool that u could get the clean towels from there is not true. We had to go to the office to get the towels. They didn’t have the amount of towels that I needed, so that was very disappointing.

Clean, modern and affordable.

Front desk clerk who appears to be an owner seems to take her job to seriously and is lacking common sense. The look she gave my wife and I as we were checking in was classic. It truly appeared like she was about to revoke our reservation and not accommodate us for asking a simple question. The question was why was my wife not able to check in as I was on a business cal outside.. Same last name. Room for 2. Same credit card with her name on it but no....that wasn't enough. Needed to end my business call prematurely to meet this very entitled person. Someone's parents bought that hotel for that undeserving woman. Very unfortunate....especially sense we were staying in my home town.

We arrived at 1:30 pm and were told the room was not ready and the check-in time was 3 pm. We understand that is the general check-in time, but in the past, we could always check in whenever we arrived, as early as 11:45 am once. However, the room was not ready at 3 pm. We checked in about half an hour later. The staff there gave us a stone face all the time. We did not mind the waiting hours, but we didn't like the manner of the attending staff.

While we were waiting for the room to be ready, our daughter had a chance to use the swimming pool. She had fun. Besides, we like the coffee and hot water in the lobby.

This was my fourth stay, and it is always clean and secure.

I did not like that I requested an early check-in to the hotel. I drove 10 hours and arrived at 10 am, and I requested to check in at 12 pm. I sent the request through booking.com, and it was approved in the booking system with a note to call when I arrived at 10 am. I called at 10 am, and the reception person did not know anything about the early check-in. She said they had a lot of work and could not accommodate the early check-in. I worked in a hotel before, and it was a big no-no to tell the customer yes and then say no. I would have liked to rest in the room rather than sleep in my car until I could check in. If you say yes in the booking system, you should make it so.

I liked the location; close to the freeway, and close to downtown Davis with lots of good eats within walking distance. The rooms were impeccably clean, which I appreciated very much. The a/c unit was very efficient which was nice because it was hot when we visited. My favorite part was the EV charger available on the property! It was so nice that we could have a full battery to start our very long journey back home on the day of check out.

The room had some minor defects that needed repair, and the room keys demagnetized very easily, making us get new keys twice within the first 24 hours of our stay there. The key cards could not be kept next to other credit cards or MagSafe phone cases. Not a huge deal though, as the staff promptly replaced them as soon as we went to the front desk.

So clean and the grounds were beautiful. I never expected to say this about a motel parking lot, but it was gorgeous - dense with mature trees and fragrant jasmine. We even went swimming though it was cold and windy because the pool looked so inviting. Our room was large and spotless with a king bed, foldout couch bed in a separate room, TV in each room, newly renovated bath with separate large double sink area, and mini fridge. No noise issues even though the freeway was a short walk away. Definitely glad we stayed here and walked every day to campus and downtown.

Minor complaint, but the air conditioning unit was pretty loud.

I had a great experience here at University Park Inn & Suites, the staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. The room i got was nice, spacious and clean. The beds were confortable and clean. The bathroom was nice and clean and I love the quality of the skin care and shower products that they provide. Although We didn't eat breakfast there, they gave us the list of places that we could dine at. The location is perfect everything is close specially for families that are dropping off their kids to UC Davis.

We didn't stay another night

It was quiet and really pretty, lots of grassy area outside with flowering plants all over. The parking was nice and easy. And seeing the cute little rabbits at nice jumping around the grass was so fun. Beds were comfortable and lots of natural lighting in our corner room by the pool area.

I really don't think there was a dislike, we got in past midnight and left by 7am, so I didn't get to use pool, and our room was located in a separate section - 2 smaller building units located by the pool area and not inside the main hotel itself, and I preferred it that way, it felt cozier. No downside from our stay

We had a multi-day event to attend at UC Davis, and this place met our needs. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and there was ample free parking. We could see and hear the Amtrak train from our room window, but it didn't disturb us. If you are a light sleeper, the hotel provides complimentary earplugs. Breakfast is not included, but there is complimentary coffee and tea in the room as well as in the lobby. We also appreciated the water bottle refill station in the lobby. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a short distance (walking or driving). Dutch Bros is right next door if you need your specialty coffee fix.

It would have been nice to have a continental breakfast included, but it was fine, as we knew beforehand that breakfast was not provided. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Everything is satisfactory except that the upstairs residents are too noisy.

The last night of my stay was Saturday. When the upstairs residents returned to their rooms at around 9:30 p.m., the sounds of people walking or running could be heard, and from time to time, there was a loud noise of heavy objects hitting the floor. This continued until 2 a.m. the next day. I was so disturbed that I couldn't sleep.
