Myself and my friend recently stayed at Heatherdene House for a wedding in nearby Wimbourne. My friend was arriving earlier on a long haul flight from overseas and Mike went above and beyond to welcome him arriving early as well as organising for his suit to be pressed for the wedding . The house itself was welcoming , rooms were quiet and cosy with comfortable beds and a lovely view of the garden where I was delighted to see a visiting fox and the resident cat. Heatherdene House is well located with nearby Wimbourne and a 10 minute walk to the nicest Indian I've had in years. We were very happy with our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Mike, highly recommend

We were warmly welcomed to the property by Mike who showed us to our room. It was a lovely clean room overlooking the garden. There was a good supply of tea and coffee and biscuits, a small tv with lots of channels and a very useful fan, especially as we had three very hot days. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we had a good choice of cereal, fruit, juice and cooked breakfast We were given many tips of places to go and loaned maps. I would definitely recommend Heatherdene House.

Our bathroom was a little tiny, low head height due to the slope of the ceiling, but it had been carefully planned to fit the space. The shower was great. Good supply of towels.

Arrived at property to a warm and friendly welcome. Shown to our room, which was spotlessly clean with an en suite shower, toilet, and sink. Tea, coffee, etc., and kettle in room along with tv, excellent wifi and an information folder. The owner, Mike, was amazing and very informative of local attractions, etc, which we were extremely grateful for. It made our trip so much better. Breakfast was amazing, as was Julia, who took our breakfast order. Fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee, cereals, and a full freshly cooked English breakfast, served piping hot with toast and preserves. It was the first time staying in a B+B, and we wasnt sure if B+B was really going to be our type of accommodation. However, we took the chance and stayed 3 nights. Our experience, made all the better by Mike, who was fantastic. Would we do B+B again.... Yes, we would. Would we return to Heatherdene House... Absolutely 100% yes. Would we recommend Heatherdene House to others... of course we would!! It's an absolute gem of a place, and we would highly recommend it. Many thanks to the owners Mike and Alison and a big thank you to Julia, who served the breakfast for a wonderful stay.

Nothing. Everything was perfect!!

Mike and Alison were absolute gorgeous humans. Kindness and love clearly a central part of what they do to provide a great night's sleep to weary travellers! Very accomodating to needs, room was perfect, bed was SO comfortable. Slept like a baby. Breakfast was delicious! We particularly liked coming back in the evening and seeing that the whole back garden was covered in gorgeous fun lighting, which you can see through the big lovely windows as you walk up the stairs! We didn't manage to venture into the garden but it did look lovely! We stayed here to attend a wedding at St Giles House in Wimborne st Giles. It was about a 20-25min cab ride to get there. Fully recommend pre booking cabs in this area if you need one, and Mike will provide you with cards for local cab companies.

Lovely quiet location, with parking for several cars on drive, a peaceful well-through immaculate home which is both comfortable (think soft carpet underfoot and hallway lights on dimmer) as well as having some tasteful but discreet wow factors (think double-height feature window and lawn pinpoint lighting, reminiscent of a charming starry night). Yes, the bed was soft enough but supportive, 2 pillows provided for each, the bedlinen clean, plenty of storage space. Yes, the breakfast had a wide range including full English with egg options including the excellent poached eggs. Yes, the administrative arrangements were perfect and hosts friendly, helpful and knowledgeable (offering information on nearby places to visit in case of interest). A feature is the carefully curated and restored eclectic mix of vintage (or older) items in the dining room and the wall pictures, adding unobtrusive interest and character. Large quiet, mature, well-kept garden and seats and tables perfect for sipping coffee in the sunshine or reading. This booking is very good value for money. Were we happy with our stay, and would we be happy to return? A resounding 'yes' and 'yes' again.

We loved it all. A fabulous place to stay at Heatherdene House. Mike & Alison could not of done anymore , to make our stay comfortable. The entire experience was the very best in all our stays , looking back at other hotels. So if you do stay here you will meet delightful Julia also. Julia made our breakfast experience she is a treasure. What a fabulous breakfast , great cook is Mike . Alison we enjoyed talking with also .So treat yourself and stay here . We had a family funeral and they were so kind to my husband Mike and myself. We will go back for sure, maybe on a trip to Cornwall , or somewhere abroad to escape our winter in the UK.

Nothing at all ! Brilliant place , experience great .

The house and garden are very pretty and the host is very welcoming. Location is good for visiting the Jurassic Coast and other attractions. The host gave us some great recommendations for trips in the area which was very helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice.

IThe Room could do with darker blinds

We couldn't have wished for friendlier or more helpful hosts than Mike and Alison. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We'd had rather a stressful journey to Dorset, involving a minor car accident, so we had messaged Mike to explain that we might be later than we had initially indicated. When we arrived, he gave us a warm welcome, which helped us to relax and feel at home. As well as excellent customer service, the room was clean and comfortable and had a lovely outlook over the garden, and the well cooked breakfasts set us up for the day.

Clean, comfortable, well decorated, classic charm with dark wood furniture. Mike was a very welcoming and attentive host with good local knowledge. Excellent breakfast too!

Nothing negative but do take care when entering the car park as the entrance would be a little tight with a very large car or van. There did not appear to be any parking restrictions on the road outside.

The hosts were excellent and went out of their way to make us very welcome. The breakfast was also excellent, with items bought especially for our difficult gluten and dairy-free diets. The en-suite shower room was spotless, and hot water plentiful.

Only the mattress because of our aging backs. Personally we would have preferred a firm or memory foam mattress for better support instead of the soft mattress, but no doubt it would suit other guests quite well.
