The staff was amazing, very kind and always available. I loved that we could use the fridge and plates and stuff from the kitchen. The kitchen was very clean and tidy The position of the hostel is very central, especially if you have a bike it's amazing Bathrooms were a bit old but also clean

There needs to be at least some hooks to hang towels/jackets/bags, both in the rooms and in the showers!! Also it would be amazing if they added some curtains to the beds in the dormitory, or like some kind of partial covers

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the location to be extremely convenient, as it was situated near a bus stop, making transportation around the area hassle-free. The bed provided in the dormitory was comfortable, allowing for a good night's rest. However, it's worth noting that there was some noise at night, particularly on Saturday night. Nevertheless, considering the lively atmosphere on weekends, this was reasonable. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to others, especially for its convenient location and comfortable accommodations.

However, the atmosphere was quite crowded, which led to some disturbances during the night. I was woken up twice in the middle of my sleep due to the noise and activity around the dormitory. While the bed was comfortable, the lack of tranquility affected the overall quality of my rest. Despite this inconvenience, the hotel's convenient location and comfortable accommodations still make it a viable option for those seeking easy access to transportation and a budget-friendly stay.

I loved the location right next to the venue; I ended up being able to hang out with the artists who were playing that night!

Reception was really welcoming. Thijs was greatly informed and very kind. Also his colleagues were all very very kind and helpful. I knew it was a hostel and was surprised to see the welcoming flowers in the room and the simple and functional yet tasteful choice of colours in the room. Functional bathroom, nice shower. Cosy outer space. Comfy bikes for daily rental. Great choice to stay in Groningen, value for money, even if you're no 18 anymore. Really great hosts!!

The room was dark, even during the day, still it was more than worth every Euro. I stayed in other places in Groningen that didn't have Simpson's charme.

Almost every staff member was really nice, the facilities were always clean, the location was great, and they were overall very accommodating. I've stayed at one other hostel in Amsterdam, and this hostel was so much better.

One of the male staff members was really rude, and the bed gave me severe back pain. To be fair, I slept on it for about 2 weeks, and I don't think that kind of back pain would happen to most people. I'm a bit older than the average hostel user.

Very friendly staff. Great kitchen and reception area. Breakfast was very good, although I would have loved a cooked breakfast option. I loved the outdoor area and the fact that they served coffee.

I wish the dorm room beds had curtains. There were a couple of people who were a bit too friendly and the curtain helps to give some privacy

The location is really good, quite close to the city center, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfy which was nice. The front yard is also a really cool space to chill and meet with other people. When I asked for a cappuccino from the menu, it was the first time for the guy at the reception but he did it quite well! Also you get a coupon for a drink at the neighboring restaurant which you can use up to a year from your initial stay.

For this price , I was expecting that there would be some soap in the bathrooms and toilets on the upper floor. There can also be some noise coming from the nearby club until late at night which might be annoying if you're trying to sleep.

Simple accommodation, but great value for money. Decent breakfast for little money. Close to Groningen Town centre. Great friendly and helpful staff... Shared toilets and shower facilities were clean and tidy. Craft brewery right next door....

Not much.... Maybe air con in rooms as it was warm at night.
