This is an automated hotel which worked smoothly but there is little contact with the staff. The finish of the rooms is impressive for a budget brand and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was great with loads of hot water. There was an option to rent a kettle which was useful. I greatly enjoyed two visits to the Chinese buffet under the hotel with its huge selection of fresh fish which you take to the chef to be cooked. The price includes up to 3 glasses of wine or your choice of other drinks. There is basic free WiFi and a Premium option which I didn't try. There are a lot of free car park spaces.

Heat and noise were the big issues, this was high summer reaching 25C, not unusual. The room got hotter and hotter with high humidity. Even opening the window wide for a while didn't seem to get the temperature down, by my 4th night I couldn't wait to leave. I accept this is a budget hotel without a/c. McDreams can rent a kettle, with climate change please offer rental of floor standing fans? This hotel is in a very noisy location with a busy train line on one side and a road and tramline on the other. Commendably if you fully shut the window, all the noise is reduced by 90%, you just boil.... Personally the noise doesn't bother me, but it will be an issue for some.

Easy check in and out when you figure out how to change the language in the app! Firsf time to a hotel like this when the check in and out purely online whitout a reception and actually saves a lot of time! Good towels. Cleaned all around (rooms and corridors). Great shower, very rarely you find a enclosed shower that doesn't get the bathroom wet when you have a shower! 5 of 5 for that, excellent water pressure as well! Free parking.

Room way too hot. Have a heater in the room even if you turn off room is still very hot! Couldn't sleep with the window closed because of the heat but then you hear the trains all night passing by so difficult night sleep specially in the first night! Location a bit remote. Room very compact for families. Strange people standing on the hotel door sometimes blocking the way! We were 3 staying in the room (2 adults 1 child) but only 2 towels of each provided. Room cleaning only included if you stay more than 6 nights, so had to pay 10€ for the cleaning in the middle of our stay and bed linen was not even changed. Have to pay for a kettle. Was not expensive though.

The rooms are well-furnished, clean, and practical for a short stay. The bathroom was modern and everything was in great condition. We loved the free parking right in front of the hotel since we arrived late at night and could just park right in front of the building. The mandatory contactless check-in and check-out is also a convenient concept if you don't require and service or assistance. We thought the hotel was a great option for a short stay with a low budget!

The check-in email I received contained no links to carry out the check-in. I had to call customer service to make it work. Also, there are train tracks behind the house, so you will occasionally hear trains going by (also at night).

Absolutely impressed by this hotel! I’ve stayed in much more expensive places that could not live up to this level of cleanliness. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, both at the reception or via text message, where I always received quick replies. The check in and out process was super convenient and the price for the room was incredible. Yes, the hotel is located near a busy street and the train tracks, however the windows are so well isolated that you cannot hear anything when they are closed. The doors to the corridor seem to be very well isolated too, I could barely hear any other guests (and I am usually quite a light sleeper). The entire property looks brand new/ freshly renovated. I will definitely be back!

I would have loved if the hotel could have offered a kettle/ microwave, even if it was just at the reception so I could heat up food. Due to the restaurant being located in the basement of the building, sometimes there are people smoking outside, which can prevent you from getting fresh air into the room with the window open but obviously that’s not the hotels responsibility.

Location was good. Checkin and checkout was digital but very good. WhatsApp support was good and customer support Agent very kind. Bed had very fresh and clean sheets. Good hotel for short stay.

Carpet was dusty. My son has Astma and he kept coughing. Carpet is a bit outdated in 2025. Cleaning staff knocked (all) doors to see if the room was left to enable cleaning(900am) Not sure why do not use the checkout system. Now they wake people without reasons as the Check-out is 1100.

This was our second stay at this hotel, and again it was a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and in great condition and the free parking in front of the house is awesome, too. We also tried the café/restaurant located in the same building and thought it was good. Totally recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at McDreams Hotel, and it was a great experience. From the moment I arrived (01-04/03/2024), Jenny & the Team, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Thank you All. The bathroom was spotless (thank you to the cleaners), and I couldn’t have asked for a more modern place for my short stay. On arriving, I was unable to enter the room digitally, as the lock wouldn't work, I was so happy to see a young man fixing another door and he helped me by fixing the lock so I could enter. Thank you ever so much M for being so helpful. In fact, the whole room was spotless (kudos to Hotel Management). The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The accommodation & service, made my stay very good. The hotel’s location is not too bad. From Uɓerbilk its approximately a 15 min walk. On the day I arrived the buses and trams were on strike, otherwise you could jump on a 701 to the hotel. There are 3 main eating areas connected to the hotel (Cloud Kitchen and Gourmet Palast - Restaurant on one side and all-you-can-eat buffet) on the other side of the entrance to the hotel, so even though the hotel is a bit of a distance to the main area downtown, you won't starve. The prices in the 3 restaurants around the hotel are about right for a main city like Düsseldorf. If you prefer to shop for yourselves, there's an Aldi, 7 mins from the hotel (come out & turn right). I would happily recommend this hotel to family and friends for a short stay. 👍 4* for customer care, cleanliness & comfortability.

There wasn't much not to like to be quite honest, maybe it could have been closer to the main area, but it's not an issue I felt was negative.

Good for in transit. Street parking is possible, industrial part out of the city. Very good value for money.

Everywhere is smell of cigarette smoke. Even in my room I could feel smoke a bit. The ceceptionist claimed it was the last room!?! It seems that basement/ground floor is reserved for workers, I went there by chance ( a big van hided the main entrance) it is just awful. Also, curtains have no stopper on side so i all of them pulled off :( They have outside plastic blinders.

It is a purely functional hotel that includes parking for free - and it fulfills that completely. The bed was comfortable, the bath was clean, and the parking lot is well lit into the night so going to your car early or late still seems safe.

It was a warm day, and the window faces to a rooftop where all other rooms also face - so the combo of privacy and a breeze are a bit tough to get at the same time.
