The hotel is easy to find and located near the central station, which can be arrived by foot. There are several public transport connections nearby including trams, S-Bahn and buses, and some supermarkets. Breakfast was simple and typically Germany, with different kinds of breads, cheeses and cold cuts.

There was somehow unpleasant smell when we just entered the room, so we had to open the window to clear it out.

We booked a room only, the service was fantastic from the Reception Desk right through to the cleaners.. It's a nice clean, comfy hotel, with trams, buses and trains within 3-5 or so minutes walking distance from the hotel.. A Netto, Rewe and Lidls just up the road if you need anything.. It's such a friendly hotel who really help towards making your stay a pleasant experience. You also get free public transport around Dusseldorf including going Duisburg and Essen

It was a 5-7 min walk from train station Friedrichstadt where we got off the local train S11 coming from the airport (BTW 15 min by that train). Also 4-5 tram stops from city center where we also got in 15 min by walk. The area is safe, we walked at night on the streets without any problem. The staff was very helpful and flexible, we also got a bottle of champaign upon check-out on the 1st January :) The room was big and cosy, with a couch, 2 tables, with tea and coffee in the room. There were extra pillows in the cabinet if you would need some more. I can’t rate the breakfast, we haven’t ordered it. I would definitely recommend this place, it is worth it!

The hotel was very cosy, and the location of the hotel is amazing. The grocery store as well as the train station are all located in a 5 minutes walking radius. The travel card that we got from the hotel was amazing because it can be used to travel all across the VRR region (you can go to Solingen, Essen, etc.). Definitely recommend coming to this hotel :)

Underfloor heating in the bathroom ensured the whole room was lovely and warm and the breakfast was excellent in both quality and choice. The lady who served breakfast it was very nice and welcoming, as I was in town for an exam she wished me luck and chatted a little with me, being the only one choosing to have breakfast at 7am on a Sunday!

Doors to the corridor let through a little noise, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but an exam early on a Sunday morning meant I had to use ear plugs to ensure a good night sleep.

We booked a room only for the night due to a flight cancellation, the staff stayed up watching the cameras due to the time we arrived to make sure we got in ok... Can't have asked for any better service from Hotel Lessing they went above and beyond to make a end of our holiday a comfy last night.. We had already spent 9 nights with them this was an unexpected stopover... But at least we knew what to expect..

Very nice room, comfortable, and clean, I could not really complain a bit about anything. Each room separate router, a TV, a sofa, 2 chairs, and a very comfortable bed. The bath is in excellent condition, with always hot water the very second you start it, a big bath tab. There is a heating unit you can adjust on your own. All in all very recommended for the price range.

I cannot think of anything to mention at the moment, really.

The room was clean, spatious, beds were so comfy. I felt safe as a solo traveler, it's located in a nice neigborhood. Very close to both tram and s-bahn stations. I'd definitely come again if I visit Düsseldorf in the future.

The fan in the bathroom was so loud for me to fall asleep, it didn't turn off for a long while at night even though the lights weren't on. Wifi was a little bit slow.

Amazing experience at this hotel! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was big and had not just beds but also chair, sofa, table (for example for working) etc. The location is also really good, very close to Hauptbahnhof. Overall amazing, 10 out of 10.

Very cosy and nice hotel. Spacious room with bath, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast tasty and varied. The location of the hotel on a quiet street with plenty of parking spaces was pleasant. Thank you to the staff and owners of the hotel for a great holiday.
