Location

The receptionist, Beatrice. She clearly hates people, so I'm not sure why she is working at reception. When I walked in, she just looked at me, after spending 30 secs looking at here screen. She then couldn't find my reservation (which she seemed to get a kick out of), but after another search she did. She then insisted the reservation was for 1 person not 2. I asked her to check again, and she discovered it was for 2. Again, she seemed disappointed. Finally, I got my key and she told me the lift was down the hall. Not a single, hello, how are you, enjoy your stay etc. Just a look of contempt that could have made milk sour. So, the hotel is fine, but you can have 1/10 for Beatrice, the world's most unfriendly receptionist.

I booked this hotel late in the evening because my train was very late and I had to stop in Düsseldorf for the night (thanks, Deutsche Bahn). I looked for a cheap option near the train station. The hotel positively surprised me! Great value for money, in my opinion. The furniture is not modern and the carpet is old, but everything was clean, the bathroom looked recently renovated (with budget-style amenities, but everything was there and working). The towels were fluffy and soft, the room was spacious, the water in the shower ran strong and hot, and there were even little free water and beer bottles. The reception works 24 hours, so I felt safe. I had a good night of sleep.

The pillows were too thick for me and the shower door did not close tightly.

The proximity to the Hauptbahnhof and also to the trams and busses.

The fridge in the room was broken. When I told the evening front desk staff, he took the request seriously and said to come back in the morning because the technician would take a look. I wanted to chill a bottle of wine and he said they could do that for me in the morning. But the morning front desk staff told me that I probably didn't know how to turn it on and initially she did not want to chill the wine for me. Eventually she did and when I came back to the hotel after leaving for breakfast, she confirmed they had replaced the fridge. The fan in the room was also broken. We wanted to turn it on over night but the motor head heated up and none of the blades were spinning.

Mine was a 2-day trip. It took only 20 mins from the airport to the downtown train station and then to the hotel. So, I consider the location as a huge advantage given the fact that I was on the road starting from dawn. The next day I headed off to Cologne, again less than 5 mins to the train.

A lil bit of stain on the bathroom tiles. Looks outdated but there was no compromise on hygiene. As a side note, it is a 20-min walk to the Altstadt (old city). Carsplatz is the core of the activities, for the attention of first-time travellers.

It was just a hotel that was used to sleep after a day around the City & the airport so there is not a lot to say. But if you need to be up early for the airport, it's literally a few minutes walk to Düsseldorf Hbf...it's a good 25mins walk to Altstadt, but a quick metro ride reduces it down to 5. The bed was superbly comfortable & so were the pillows, the shower like a lot of the building is a bit dated, pressure was excellent though! The room was pretty huge in all fairness. Staff were very pleasant. For €25pp, felt like great value.

The hotel is a bit dated (that doesn't bother me really) so it was a little tired, the room numbering was very bizarre like you would walk past 201, then past 214 to get to 208 etc. The shower while the pressure was superb, if you have bad knees or other ailments, getting into the shower could be awkward. Noticed a few stains on the floor & walls, which considering I wasn't even looking for anything, the total might be much higher.

The size of the room was good with all basic amenities. The location of the property was in front of a taxi stand, walking distance from the tram/train station. Many places to eat around the area and a big supermarket (LIDL) at a walking distance. The property offered umbrella on rent which was helpful during our stay as it was raining heavily.

There were no closet for cloths in the room. We opted for a room with bidet but it was not there. There was train sound all thru the night which was a bit disturbing.

We liked the proximity of the hotel to the station, we went there by walk. Also liked the Employees in the hotel. They were kind and also had the facility to keep our bags since our train was late in the night and we had to check out in the afternoon.

We visited the Hotel, day after Christmas, hence there was no breakfast available. Since we hadn't pre-booked the breakfast hence that was not a problem, But If it would have been available, it would have been a cherry on the cake.

Everything was fine, courteous and helpful staff, cleanliness of room and overall cleanliness, free coffee at the lobby was a bonus :) . I had reached much before the check in time, but I made myself comfortable in the lobby, wifi and coffee were provided without any charges and I could finish my online meetings comfortably before checking in.

The lift, its old and needs to be closed properly by the user, but there is nothing which can be done. Perhaps air conditioning especially in the rooms on the higher floor, I had to change the room to a lower floor because it was too hot in the room.

Great location just a short walk from the main train station, making travel super convenient. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast made for an enjoyable stay

Location of this hotel is very good, very near to the Dusseldorf Cental Station. Breakfast was great, I like the Lyon Ham. The receiption staffs were very friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants and fast food surrounding the hotel.

I think the sliding glass door in the bathroom should be fixed. Other than that, all good.
