Simple hotel but very clean and offering good value for money, especially when compared to hotels in other cities during the European football championships. It's very close indeed to the main station so we used it as a base for travelling to games. Rooms were large, simply furnished but more than adequate for what we needed. The hotel offers breakfast which was good value at 10 euros. Staff were helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.

There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel. However, be aware that there's no lift and don't expect a 24 hour reception desk. You collect the keys from a key box using a code which the hotel sends on the day of arrival-a bit like an Air BnB. We were able to get access to our rooms at 11.30 to leave luggage, which was a helpful bonus. There's no bar. None of this was a problem for us and it didn't affect our enjoyment of the hotel.

Location was right next to the central train station. Room was big, clean, and relatively quiet despite happenings outside. Bed was very comfortable for me. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was served with a generous German breakfast. Will definitely stay there again whenever I visit friends in Mönchengladbach!

No elevator, and unfortunately I have knee problems. And it would be difficult if I had heavy luggage. Lastly, a pair of slippers in the room would have been great too. But these are small concerns.

Great location Opposite Hauptbahnhof. Very friendly receptionist who let me check in early. Clean, spacious and modern room. Good value for money

No lift & a lot of unsavoury characters loitering outside the hotel till late so if the room is facing the station you can hear them till past midnight talking and shouting even with the window closed but that’s not the hotels fault of course.

The location was ideal for exploring the town and the hotel staff were very accommodating, extremely helpful and friendly.

Location was supremely convenient. Breakfast was fine. Service was good.

The only downside was that there wasn't proper air conditioning. It was quite warm when we went. Additionally the bathroom was not the nicest. The room itself was very good however.

Good location, almost opposite the main railway station and only 5-10 minutes on foot from the main shopping district and market square. The room was big and staff very friendly. The breakfast was rather simple but not bad at all.

Mönchengladbach isn’t the most exciting place on earth, and the train station area feels a little seedy. The WiFi signal in my room wasn’t that great.

The staff was very helpful, coming over later in the evening after closing to help sort out an issue with our room key. The rooms were neatly presented, and tea and sugar plus a kettle were available in each room. Whilst there was no AC, fans were provided which helped with the warm weather. I liked that there was an arrangement for people to check in when they arrived after the reception closes. The process is however not made very obvious and is not communicated well in advance of arrival.

The lack of a lift, meaning one had to drag bags and suitcases up 5 flights of stairs was a bit challenging after a long day of traveling. It would have been nice for the hotel to message guests their reception closing times and check-in arrangements for late arrival (one would need a functioning phone to call or use Whatsapp which can be challenging if one runs out of charge or isn't roaming). Though we got to park for free as we arrived on a Sunday (which is a free parking day in the nearby parking area), it would be nice to have free parking all day, all week.

Nice room and the nearby train station even if there was a 24 hour train strike upon my arrival in Düsseldorf. The next day I had to attend Medica and the manager offered to drive me all the way to the fair. I really appreciated her help.

There’s nothing wrong in this hotel

Location is top notch, easy movement because it’s right outside the Mönchengladbach Central Station.

Housekeeper never showed up even though they promised to be back in an hour. Upper floors can only be reached by stairs.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was nice and perfectly clean - great value for money. Breakfast was really nice. 5 minute walk to the station!!
