The grounds were incredible! I admittedly only booked our stay at Kia Lodge because of its proximity to the airport ahead of and after early morning / late flight arrivals, but Kia Lodge was the best maintained and nicest hotel we stayed at during our month-long trip to Tanzania! We were very impressed by the beautiful gardens, beautiful pool with a view of Kili and the spacious + comfortable rooms, not to mention the very attentive and helpful staff! I had been a bit concerned because airport hotels don't always have the best facilities and can be loud, but that was the exact opposite of our experience at Kia - instead of planes, you're serenaded by a variety of birds from across the grounds (I think we heard an elephant at one point too) and made for a very relaxing last day of our trip. A big thank you to the wonderful team of staff who arranged perfectly timed transfers & pickups, and offered well balanced meals and a bar to enjoy from the pool.

Considering it is next to the airport, it is very quiet as very few planes takeoff. Transfer to airport early in the morning was seamless

Sort of dismissive attitude when we checked in as they tried and failed to fine our payment from Booking.com - once that was sorted the switched into “customer service mode” and couldn’t have been more friendly have helpful. The bungalows are large and bed was great, but let down by some little finishing touches (things broken or not fitting quiet right)

Everything! The location was very convenient for our morning flight. You can view Mt. Kilimanjaro from the l9dge and Mt. Meru from the driveway to the lodge. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant was great, the souvenir shop and Tanzanite store were full of great value items. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient in a safari jeep. Great experience overall.

Good, comfortable airport hotel. Good value for money. Food was good quality.

After booking, I requested the free shuttle service from the airport. I explained a car from the conference I was attending would drop me off at the airport but they kept asking for my flight details. I even called the reservations area to explain I was not flying in but still needed the transfer. Long story short, they didn't provide the shuttle service.

The location and the serenity. The lodge was beautifully kept and the staff were excellent.

Miscommunication between booking.com and the lodge. We had to wait for an hour for the shuttle and despite messages saying they were on their way they never arrived. iIn the end had to get a taxi. However the manager at the lodge was very apologetic and reimbursed our taxi fare. I do not blame the lodge for the mix up.

Lovely property, pool and view of Kilimajaro! Convenient due to its super close proximity to the airport and a perfectly organized, free shuttle in the middle of the night. Just contact the property first to book it in time!

All great, nothing to complain about really! A bit expensive and far from Arusha but conveniently close to the airport and therefore worth it!

Beautiful location in close proximity to the airport. Incredible bird watching and a gorgeous view of Kilimanjaro from the pool. They accommodated early (4:30 AM) departures and even provided breakfast boxes.

While the staff claimed to offer vegan breakfast, the “vegan” breakfast box contained boiled egg and non-vegan pastries, leaving one of our party hungry.

We used the hotel overnight as we had an early flight from Kilimanjaro airport. The hotel was on the expensive side for the facilities, but it was the nearest available place on a tight timeframe!

Rooms didn't have a TV or wifi. That didn't matter to us on this occasion, but for the price you'd expect a little more in the way of facilities.

I took a take away box for breakfast but it was edible and based on locally available food. My 3 year old son loved the room as well and it was very child friendly. Dinner ambiance was lovely and meal tasty.

The rooms could benefit from Internet service to facilitate on line check in and communication.

Great location and despite it being close to the airport you didn't notice the planes, in fact, was great seeing the few take off and land. The rooms are situated in their own little bit of the lush gardens and were very private. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout.
