Right upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised that despite the late check-in and having missed dinner, the staff prepared at least a snack for us, which was very welcome after a long journey. The resort is well designed, and I really liked the accommodation in separate cottages. The food was good, with plenty of options to choose from — compared to other hotels, we probably enjoyed it the most here. The staff was very friendly. The resort offers many activities, and we took advantage of the kayaking and paddleboarding. There were also enough sun loungers, and it was possible to find a free one. The evening entertainment program was fun as well.

The quality of the drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, seemed quite poor to me. In the end, we stuck with water and lemon. Access to the sea is a bit lengthy. There is no beach — the only way to enter the sea is via a pier.

Location in the secluded bay! There was enough food throughout meal times

We booked 1 year in advance and got the “armpit” of rooms. Worst rooms regarding location and view and veranda on site( 3 families - with 3 different rooms - all suffered the same fate) We booked the One bedroom suite, paid more for this - especially to have privacy from the teenagers ( i should have just booked a Double Bedroom normal room - much better- more spacious and where all 4 people could have had access to the aircon. Pointless booking a double Deluxe suite as the main bedrooms door must be open at all times as there is NO air-con in the main room. I ended sleeping on the single bed in the area where kids were going to sleep so that i can have airconditioning.. VERY disappointing

This is a hotel ideal for families, and kids, not so much for lone travellers but I still really enjoyed at the end of my holiday just to stay here for a couple of days to completely relax. Has nice pools. The beach area was really good , with a rocky style Croatia beach with little enclaves for the sunbeds. Also had a pier with free use of kayaks.

I went for early morning swim (6:30 am) so could do some laps but was asked to leave because they wanted to clean the pool(use net to extract debris) But it was not necessary for me to leave as I could have moved around the pool whilst the man worked. Found that a bit rude. Really should say the pool is not open before 6:30 if that is the case.

The location of hotel is very nice, in calm area. Easy to explore Brač but car is needed. Parking was provided on the spot. Very nice concept with cottages and hotel rooms - indoor and outdoor pool plus beach. Hotel Resort has all you may need during the stay with some BUTs.

The BUTS go for a very small gym and no towels are provided, the same goes for an indoor pool. The use of beach towels is charged an extra 15 euros per stay, plus a deposit of 5 euros. For Beach Hotel Resort, it is a bit off. Cleaning should be better, and amenities need improvement - the shampoo and soup bottles in our cottage were broken. Towels provided were overused and had holes...

The views of the sunset are beautiful and the convenience of swimming and sizes of rooms were great. The staff was helpful in booking an excursion and we loved the charming town of Milna close by. We loved the ping pong and joined in the dancing.

It felt a little like a cruise ship with the activities at night and coming in with two teen boys we were surrounded by screaming and crying children. We adjusted to the noise around the pools in the day by leaving and going on excursions. With the exception of the pizza, the food was not very good.

The all-inclusive meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner were quite generous. Though there were some often repeated dishes (catering to a wide variety of people) there was enough variety on the days we dined at the hotel. We initially stayed in one of the houses but the photos of the deluxe double room did not match what we arrived to, however the staff accommodated and found us alternative rooms later in our stay. The bar is a beach side hut offering unlimited non brand drinks, what would be nice is a more formal bar area to enjoy an evening drink. The staff were excellent though, Maja and the team did everything to improve our stay. And Milna is stunning (see photo)

The rooms are looking a little tired, visible damage and wear in the two rooms we stayed in (see photos). Also, the reality of the rooms do not match the images attached. There are no furnishings and the house rooms have an awkward lounging space that has no real use. Again, the biggest thing was the first room stating 'extra large double bed' but it was two singles pushed together with a large sheet.

Very nice location in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by beautiful trees, beachfront with stunning views. Friendly and helpful staff, great guys in kids animation. High five for Suite room - big / bright nicely equipped. Relatively nice gym.

Food choice is a bit limited, not a big issue, although we would prefer some lower fat alternatives in regards of meat. Guys do something with internet, that’s a big pain. Poor speed and not the best coverage…

Beautiful scenery. Beautiful landscape around the property. Clear sea, great for adults, bot so much for toddlers. With toddlers my advice would be go to the pool area.

This was our 2nd time here at the resort. We think that the quality decreesed. Especially the food. 4 years ago food was great but this year food was terrible. I would appreciate less choice and choose few really quality choices instead. For example put one quality meat , one fish dish and someting for the kids (but try it first). A lot of food was tastless, like nobody tried it prior to putting it out for guest.

The resort is located in beautiful settings - the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff work tirelessly making 3 meal sessions, but the range of dishes were basic. Consider having more themed menus to reduce the monotony. The rooms were kept clean, towels replaced frequently but need shutters that are better to limit being woken early by the sunlight in rooms.

The situation of people placing towels to reserve sunbeds was ridiculous - the hotel needs to consider how to make this much fairer. The layout of the restaurant upstairs also didn't work, creating bottle necks near the one toaster that people used for all baked products which it's not equipped to do. There also needs to be smoking sections away from the pools and eating areas.

The resort was beyond our expectations: it's located in a lovely, quiet gulf, overlooking the sea. Our room was big and clean, with a perfect terrace to enjoy sunsets. The resort has many cottages as well, so you can take longer walks on the property. Heading to the beach, you have a spacious dining hall (2 floors!), where the staff take excellent and attentive care of you. From the restaurant, you can even see the pools and the sea as well. We liked the food too, it was varied every day (vegetables, fruits, meat, carbs etc), maybe a little repetitive regarding the ingredients, but we didn't mind. The unlimited pizza and ice-cream was a nice surprise! Heading to the beach, you can access the bar where they serve cocktails and drinks, which were absolutely fine. Following a steep walk, you get to the beach, where you can swim, kayak, sup etc. Plenty of sunbeds, but we visited in September - it might be a little harder to get one in the high season. Because of the steep walk, we were happy to see that children didn't really come down to the beach, instead they chose the kids' pool next to the restaurant. On cloudy days we enjoyed the indoor spa - not much info about it online, but it was perfect when the weather was bad. We could also play chess, minigolf, work out, or just lounge by the beach bar. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, it was very much a deal regarding the price we paid. :) We would happily recommend Gava Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday where you don't need to leave the resort you're staying at.
