Great location, very comfortable, great value, good breakfast. Room service menu was excellent as was the restaurant and the cocktails. Highly recommended

Very small issues and didnt really change the experience, but easy to improve. Had a constant issue with refilling toilet paper - had to ask everytime. Towels were replaced despite the instruction to not change by leaving them hung up as per the notice in the bathroom. Didn't understand why the drinking water bottle in the room was only given once and refilled daily. Apparently after the first bottle (filtered tapwater) the guest has to then pay for water from the mini bar. Would be nice to have coffee in the room along with the great tea selection.

The location of the hotel is magnificent. Great view on a "boat highway", close to the sea and out of the city center. Peace and quiet. The city center is a 20min walk by the sea. Next to the hotel is a diving "padi" club. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. As well as the reception as the cleaning team as the bar staff. All drinks and food were served on your "lazy chair". Lunch and diner in the hotel were also very good. Fresh fish and vegetables very tasty with a great view. Breakfast was ok. A fresh orange juice would make it perfect. A little paradise close to Hvar.

The prices of the massages were a bit too high, otherwise we would have certainly booked a duo massage.

An amazing stay at hotel Podstine. The hotel looks right onto the bay and the paklinski islands. The hotel was calm and peaceful with plenty of space for everyone. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. We spent most of the day lounging on the sunbeds and having a dip in the crystal blue waters. There’s a little pebbled beach round the corner but we were happy with the sand free setting at the hotel. The restaurant and bar service were good and affordable. The rooms were decent (bathroom could do with a little up date). They have a gym and wellness center. I recommend treating oneself to a great massage by Harun who is also training in reflexology. And it’s a lovely 20 minute walk along the coastal promenade to the old town of Hvar. Planning to come again.

The TV channels didn’t work. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade. That’s about it.

Location was a little bit outside the town, about a 15 minute walk but the walk itself is gorgeous. It was so pretty, so we happily walked in each night. The hotel is amazing, we got an upgraded room with a balcony and it was great, so spacious. We loved it. Room cleaned daily was great. The breakfast had great choices and the staff were lovely. There were sunbeds beside the sea so you could sunbath and swim - staff also on hand to bring food and drinks. We really enjoyed it. Also you can ask reception for sunbathing towels which was amazing as we had forgotten to bring our own, really nice touch. Reception were able to book us a taxi.

The food and drinks are a little expensive, but you are staying in a really nice hotel so the prices reflect that. We ate mostly in the town so it didn't bother us! One night when we asked for extra toilet paper, the night duty staff tried to make us pay for it... which was a bit crazy. That was the only bad experience..

Staff was very nice and accommodating. They made reservations at a restaurant for us (Pizzeria Primi Piatti - Great meal and the appetizer 'PIATTO di MARE' was fantastic) and called a taxi for us) The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great, they had a variety of foods and beverages, (Fruit, eggs, crepe's, croissants, sausage, etc.) And the view from the Seaside (private beach area) was Fantastic! The hotel is about a 15min walk from the Old town, but there is a seaside path that leads all the way to the town. It's a great walk with a wonderful view! (We walked it several times a day)

We had absolutely no complaints. I don't understand other peoples reviews about the rooms or buffet. The rooms aren't a North American modern room, they are a European style room. You're in Europe, enjoy their culture!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Podstine! The best thing about this hotel is it’s amazing location - it has it’s own private beach area with steps straight into the ocean. There are loads of loungers and seats on different levels and a bar looking out onto the sea. When we arrived they upgraded us for no extra charge to a superior room with a stunning view. We didn’t ask for this - they just did it which we were so thankful for! The staff were so helpful and friendly - they made us feel really welcome. The hotel is clean, tastefully decorated and has a sense of calm about it. It was lovely to be a little further away from the busy town and nightlife but still within walking distance to the centre with all the restaurants and bars. Hvar town has just the right amount of buzz to it and as a couple we felt there was the perfect balance of tranquility and nightlife. Although we didn’t use the spa, it was great to have the option and it looked really nice.

The breakfast was nice and there was lots of choice but we felt there could have been a little more to it. This is us being really picky though! The bathroom was quite small, the shower cubicle was poky and the bathroom itself felt a little tired in comparison with the lovely bedroom - could do with a refurb. We felt the hotel could do a little more to help with guests reserving loungers by putting their towels down and then disappearing for literally hours.

Amazing staff that maked our trip even more enjoyable, they were all nice, helpful and professional. Excellent food in the restaurant, one of the best tbone steak we ever ate. Increible localization, not too far and not too close to Hvar. If you like to relax this is perfect. Good place to walk, run, swim. 20 min to Hvar with beatiful path next to sea. Nice sauna and pool with sea view. Flexible way of use. Next door diving center.

Have in mind to arrange some transport on first day to hotel if you dont have any car. The 20 min walk from Hvar is nice and pleasent but not after whole day trip and with baggage. You can take taxi or boat taxi. Breakast could have some more vararity. Nice shower after sauna and pool is 2 min away from it which make it less confortable. Also not really hygenic bath mats, they shiudl changw it for sth more clean. Room we had a little bit too dark and small for 10 days stay. Check to have sea view one

The Podstine on Hvar is located in its own cove outside of town. It's quiet and relaxing to be there. But I think the hotel has seen better days, and it seems there is a lack of investment in the services and infrastructure. I think if we ever visit Hvar again (and it is beautiful) we would stay in town.

It feels like it needs a refresh as the furniture, rooms, and fittings are aging and poorly designed. Curtains puddle on the floor or don't fully close, for example. You have to unplug the bedside table lamp to charge your phone. In this day and age, not having enough electrical outlets conveniently placed is unacceptable.

The property was beautiful and has direct access to the sea. Our room was a good size and had a beautiful view. Staff were all great and very attentive.

The breakfast was a bit greasy- all the cooked items were very oily. There was also wasps and flys on the cold meats at breakfast- could be fixed by putting a mesh cover over the top of the cold breakfast items. But overall this was a minor issue.

Love the location 15 min nice walk from old town. Views from the hotel are stunning and the reception level terrace is quiet and peaceful. The ‘beach’ area is great, very comfortable, lovely area to swim, lots of different seating areas for lounging or dining. Spa and gym is decent size. The restaurant and bar team are very friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was good.

I booked an economy room and while small size was as expected it smelled damp and the bathroom shower was outdated with a dodgy door and the drain kept filling up. The tab system for food and drink doesn’t itimize price so it’s hard to keep track of spend and reconcile your bill at the end.
