Beautiful place! It was located right off the beach. Room was very relaxing and nice looking. Bed was comfortable.

You had to pay the hotel $15 euros every time you used (the so called public beach chairs). If it was a public beach then why is the hotel charging and not the public location? I really don’t understand that at all. Every hotel that I stayed at had free beach chairs. The girl at the counter rolled her eyes at me after I came back from a 20 min walk to make sure my luggage was going to be departing with me at the correct time to meet the ferry. I was traveling solo and really didn’t appreciate her attitude-like I was bothering her.

Location, stunning view from the lobby terrace, delicious breakfast and dinner buffet, great service. Lovely slide for the children in the pool.

- No espresso or other coffee machine in the room, just a kettle with cappuccino sachets and tea bags, no simple instant coffee sachet or other coffee; the coffee at breakfast was not good; the only way to get decent espresso was to pay at the bar at reception. - gym was too small for the size of the hotel and only opens from 8am; no shower at the gym itself - swimming pool was very pretty to look at but impossible to really swim in it as many people in it, shallow and decorative islands get in the way. If you want to swim go to the sea. - No nibbles at the bar to go with the drinks;

Great location, large pool with plenty of sun beds and towels available. About a 10-15 min walk into Hvar along the sea front which is nice. When getting off the ferry there was someone from the hotel that was able to take our luggage for us and then we walked to the hotel. Good breakfast with lots of choice.

Room was a little small but as we weren’t there much not too much of a problem. There is a beach right outside (we thought this was part of the hotel) but sun-beds are chargeable. Water was an additional charge as part of the mini bar. Hotel a little dated in places

We LOVE Amfora!! Mainly for the pool area as it's just amazing! Our room was also brilliant as we stayed in the upgraded studio suites, gorgeous room with lovely balcony. Huge selection at breakfast, staff are so friendly & welcoming, bar staff at the pool couldn't have been better. They also have a luggage service where they collect and take your luggage to/from the port - hugely helpful!

"Didn't like" is the wrong phrase as I'm sure in Summer the balcony next to the the bar is gorgeous, however we went in May and it was chilly in the evenings and we felt the bar area would be nicer if segregated from the lobby to create a lovely bar for evening drinks.

The property was luxurious the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the location was so close to the town by foot along a pleasant tree lined pathway with breathtaking ocean views. Sea and pool access was such a treat! The breakfast buffet was one of if not the best buffet breakfasts we’ve ever had, the cocktails were exceptional and it was so straightforward organising our flight and catamaran transfers with the hotel.

We didn’t realise that our transfer back to split was departing a different port (Riva) than where we started arrived (Hvar), and there was nothing at Riva, and as we had been dropped off a bit earlier than scheduled the lack of access to bathrooms, shade etc wasn’t great and we might have planned our departure time differently had we known.

The pool had plenty of chairs (although I did visit in May and this may not apply in high season), it had perfect promixity to beach and to Hvar Town. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with last minute travel changes. The food & beverage were great, breakfast was included with my room, which was lovely, but the food in the bar was also fantastic. My room was clean, well furnished, decent view. My only critiques would be that I love making a coffee when I wake up and there was no coffee service in the room, and there is no hair conditioner in the supplied toiletries, and I depend on hotel toiletries when I travel, due to liquid restrictions on planes. Other than this, a fantastic resort, and I hope to be back next summer.

Two things: I would have loved to have coffee machine in my room, I like to start my day with coffee and end my day with tea. Hair conditioner in the toiletries. There was shampoo, body wash, and lotion, but no conditioner. With ocean/salt water, I need conditioner, but I simply picked some up at the local market. However it would have been nice to have it supplied in my room.

Pretty property in a picturesque location. Clean, comfortable and modern. Pool was awesome and excellent access to the public beach. Loved that we could drop our bags after getting off the ferry and pick them up at the hotel. Loved that they had vegan options for my son. Although the buffet should be indicate with signs what is vegan or gluten free.

Getting to the property from the ferry was challenging. We later found out not to use google maps, as it is not the best route. Everything was a long walk in the hotel whether from the lobby to the rooms or from our room to the pool. Lots of stairs without hand rails too.

The smell of this hotel was divine. The staff is extremely friendly The breakfast has so many choices and fresh produce. Very big breakfast. The pool area was clean and the cocktails to die for. The service was excellent. Lovely path to old town Had a wonderful room with a stunning view and balcony The restaurants meals and service are quick and very tasteful The luggage shuttle helped a lot and was on time and efficient The room service was great I will recommend this lovely beautiful hotel to everyone visiting Hvar. It's also quiet and peacefull The swimming pool is a big plus The hotel is clean clean clean and really beautiful with a waterfall entrance. The pool has a waterfall, slide and a fountain which was an absolute bliss for the baby. Try the pinacolade cocktail Food at the pool was large and very tasteful. Don't hesitate, book at this hotel TODAY

I loved everything about this hotel. Maybe a lift for a baby and stroller if going to the pool

The best nights sleep i've had in years!! The beds were so comfy, the staff were friendly and exremely accommodating and the breakast was wonderful. Location wise, was pretty decent, easy walk down into the town with access to its own beach front (albeit stony and a bit small)

The volleyball court could have been cleaner/safer - massive stones in and under the sand makes for an accident waiting to happen. Also, just from a personal point of view it would have been nice if there was a pool to be able to swim lenghts in, as well as the relaxing pool they have

Our room was upgraded to a sea view room without our asking - that was a pleasant surprise when we arrived! The room was very comfortable with a fabulous view of the sea and the coastline, the pool and sunbed area was great, the food served in the lounge bar was delicious (one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted), the hotel's decor was smart and attractive, the staff were helpful and there was a big selection of good food at the self-service breakfast bar. All in all, I enjoyed staying there very much and it gave my daughter a special holiday to celebrate the end of her A levels.

We booked half board so we ate in the hotel's restaurant each morning and evening. The breakfast was great but the evening meal wasn't impressive. There were a lot of different options to choose from, including lots of different salads which were good, but there were hardly any vegetarian options - which, as a vegetarian, was a bit difficult. I didn't want to eat just salad every night. The standard of cooking wasn't as good as the Lounge bar and it had a feel of mass catering. They could have perhaps offered fewer options but cooked to a higher standard.
