We had a perfect stay at this hotel. In the room, the quality of everything was excellent: sheets, bed, shampoo, conditioner, etc. — all from the brand Rituals. In addition, the staff was very kind and flexible with both check-in and check-out. Breakfast was of great quality, with buffet options as well as a menu featuring hot dishes like eggs and pancakes. Furthermore, the location is perfect — close to where the ferry arrives and departs, with very few stairs, and the staff kindly offers to come meet you and help with your luggage. We highly recommend it to everyone! It was truly a pleasure!

Lovely, accommodation, and historic antique historic hotel. The room with the patio is quite small, however. The patio doesn’t have a view of the water, but looks up at the fortress. Service is excellent. The reception staff assisted us with heavy luggage up and down several flights of stairs. Breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is set back from the main street, and so if you want peace and quiet, this is the place. however, if you have trouble going up and downstairs, this place would not work (steps away from the best Michelin dining Mediterranean, dine, and wine in Hvar, which was highly recommended by the reception staff.

Great location! Beautifully furnished rooms, lovely touches, slippers, robes, high-end toiletries. Breakfast is included and rooms are cleaned daily. The staff are very helpful, provided recommendations of where to eat and things to do. They even carried our suitcases to the ferry. A really pleasant stay that provided all the comforts of home in Hvar! Thank you for a memorable stay.

The two gentlemen who own the small hotel were both friendly & professional. They were very helpful with info, and one arrived at my ferry to carry my bag. That made it very easy to find the hotel.

Our room with a terrasse was beautiful, cozy and very clean. The terrasse was, in our opinion, actually nicer than the pictures suggested. Good enough size (for European standards) and with storage for clothes and so forth. The hotel has a heritage vibe in peak location, while still feeling pristine inside. The breakfast was great as well and the staff lovely. We didn’t hear any noise or partying even though we were in the heart of the old town. Cannot recommend enough!

My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon. The accommodation was close many restaurants and activities. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I also like that it is a family run business and brings that personal charm. Breakfast was included and delicious (We liked the salty pancake). There are stairs associated with the accommodation but that is just part of staying in Hvar and the guys who run the hotel will meet you at the ferry and carry your bags up if you need that. They also run a delicious taco place around the corner. Would definitely recommend the hotel and associated businesses.

It wasn't a dislike for us but if you expect large luxurious rooms you may be disappointed.

Rooms & beds were very comfortable & we had 4 different rooms for our family - all were great - just different sizes & configurations. Air conditioning was excellent but the staff is the stand out. They were all amazing & went above & beyond to help us with recommendations, drivers, luggage, etc. A wonderful & local Hvar family owns & runs it. Breakfast was also amazing.

The staff was absolutely lovely and very friendly, they helped us with carrying the bags from the ferry to the hotel and they gave us great tips about local restaurants and sights. The room had a great AC, and while it was on the smaller side, it was very clean and had a nice bathroom and a good view. The breakfast was good, you could choose from different kinds of eggs and pancakes. The location was great, though there were many stairs to climb.

We enjoyed our stay at this charming boutique hotel conveniently located to the ferry/harbour and square but away from the noise. The rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicious, Mate was very helpful picking us up from the ferry to help with luggage and all his recommendations for the best beaches and islands, and restaurants in Hvar.

Mate was an one of the best hosts we had in Croatia. He met us at the ferry and helped carry our luggages to our room and did the same when we left. He was very warm and hospitable. I call him super Mate because he did everything including helping prepare breakfast with Lorena. And delicious breakfast come w the room! Their room was not big but well designed to be very comfortable. Mate gave us good recommendations too. Will definitely stay with Hotel Dea Hvar again!
