The Villa is a very attractive historic building with an interesting history. The room we had was exceptionally well appointed and had a lovely balcony overlooking the harbour. Ante, our host, went over and above to make our stay perfect. We had two amazing restaurant recommendations from him . He is brilliant at advising on all sorts of aspects of your stay and kindly took us to the ferry port when we left for Split. We have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and would love to go back. Absolute 5*+.

Unforgettable experience! We soaked in a biblical downpour and manager of the hotel helped us to dry a baby stroller and whole the dressing! As well, recommended a great restaurant and called to place to order a place for us. At any of our request we had an assistance with very warm emotions so that we’ve felt as at home and, at the end of the stay we had a great present! I would wish all our experiences to be close as possible to what we had in that adorable hotel. Great pleasure

Absolutely everything was great

The building and the room were amazing, and the location is one of the best of the whole the city. The staff was very nice.

The breakfast was a bit frugal and the staff could have been a bit more helpful in telling us how to visit the city and its surroundings. (Also, since it’s a B&B, do not expect your room to be cleaned during your stay)

The staff, Ante, Veronica, Lea, and Marko were all very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We also liked the location due to the ease of walking to Centro and the ferry. The Apolon is an historic building, and we loved the charm, instead of a newer hotel. Also, breakfast was a treat, and sitting on the terrace watching the marina traffic was delightful.

We loved Stari Grads relaxed friendly atmosphere and the staff at Villa Apolon were so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was terrific and made just how we wanted it. Close to everything we needed and we are so happy we did not stay in Hvar town.

It is an old house, which has been restored beautifully and tastefully. We were given an upgrade to a gorgeous room/suite with sea views. The suite is spacious, comfortable and cool, considering it was 40c outside….! The furniture is stylish, the bed very comfortable, lots of space for storage. Staff were wonderful, especially the owner ;)! Breakfast is perfect, everything you could want - served on a large terrace right on the water. The old village is a 2 minute walk away, there is a beach a short walk away. Highly recommend it!

Wonderful B&B in a great location. Room was comfortable and had a beautiful water view. Ante is a friendly and professional host. He helped us with ferry info, dinner suggestions, and breakfast was delicious every day! Veronica (sp?) went above and beyond to track down an important item my husband left on the bus from Hvar. She saved the day! Entire staff was top-notch.

Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful location looking into the harbour. Pleasantly surprised by the size of the room which included a small separate sitting room and a very large and modern bathroom. Very peaceful location in Stari grad.

Be aware that the taxi rides to and from Hvar Town are €50 each way. There is a very infrequent bus service, but I think that may be because we were just outside of peak season. Stari grad is a very peaceful place to stay with some lovely restaurants but you will want to go into the main Hvar Town at some point in the stay.

Beautiful family run hotel. We received a lovely welcome and the staff were always on hand to help us if we had questions eg booking local restaurants, booking taxi to ferry port, offering beach towels. The rooms were spacious, airy and clean. The breakfast was a mix of hot and cold options, with the hot options cooked specifically for you.

No pool, BUT please do not let this put you off, the beach is a dew mins walk away and you can hire sun beds on the other side of the marina (15 min walk)

Breakfast was freshly prepared for us, it was superb. The owner of this hotel is friendly and helpful, the hotel is outstanding. I hope we get to stay again in the future. Stari Grad is a delightful little town with lots of restaurants and bars.
