This is a very nice hotel, at the top end of mid-range I would say -in European terms, like a very nice Ibis hotel. The hotel was quiet, and less than 5 minutes from H Street Trolley stop ( a key reason for choosing this hotel as I was travelling without a car). 15 minutes to the San Ysidro border or 20-25 minutes to downtown. The room was , I suppose, a bit small by US Standards but fine for me coming from Europe. The bathroom was quite big and had a nice walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable with good air-con. The room was cleaned every day. There was a small breakfast room but it was great. Coming from the UK, in find eating out in the USA not as cheap as it used to be but at $7.95 the breakfast buffet was a real bargain - they had three hot dishes - scrambled egg, bacon and fried potatoes ( a bit like "patatas bravas" in Spain). There was also cereal, bread, cereal bars, doughnuts and fresh juice and coffee. Hotels are not cheap in LA and San Diego and finding one with a decent transport connection is even harder but the Hercor hotel is a good option. I did not manage to explore Chula Vista but the immediate area seemed OK and there are a few places to eat nearby ( Taqueria el Jefe opposite).
I noticed that the last minute price ( $79) was quite a bit lower than what I paid booking online several months in advance through booking.com but I guess that's no something you can predict; I wanted to have a secure booking as I did not have a car.

The location is great, well connected even if you don't have car, with public transport and shopping centre nearby and if you have care there is free parking. The hotel was nice and super clean, with all comfort, breakfast was great. It is a great place for the reasonable fares. the staff was very kind and thoughtful. Overall we very liked it.
The room has no natural light, there are shed on the window to ensure privacy, as people can walk by your room. We been unlucky to get near very noisy guests, we could hear smashing door, loud talk though the night, making difficult to sleep.

It was straight forward. Things worked, clean and comfortable. Great water pressure, nice small rooms that does what it’s supposed to do, for sleeping and winding down. Enjoyed the complementary bottled water and cookies in the breakfast lounge.
It wasn’t super noisy as some say. But the floors seem like wooden construction and not concrete because you can hear the foot steps above you. Wish they include a mini fridge I. The rooms to keep your stuff cool overnight.

I recently stayed at Hercor Hotel - Urban Boutique and had an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of. Room: The room was cleaned daily and was very comfortable. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness was impressive, and the room amenities made for a very pleasant stay. Service: The service at the hotel was outstanding. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any request or provide useful local information. Location: The location of Hercor Hotel - Urban Boutique is ideal. It is close to a variety of shops, restaurants, and a mall, which made it very convenient to explore and find everything I needed within walking distance. Facilities: One of the highlights was the breakfast room that offered complimentary fruit and cookies throughout the day. This was a nice touch and very handy for grabbing a quick snack before heading out for the day. Value for Money: The value for money was definitely worth every penny. Considering the comfort, service, and location, I felt that the price was very reasonable for the quality of the stay. Overall: I had no problems whatsoever during my stay. Everything was perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Hercor Hotel - Urban Boutique to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and friendly place to stay.

This is a small "boutique" hotel that's very close to the H Street transit center - bus and trolley to downtown San Diego just a 25 minute ride. The room was small but had everything I needed. It was a bit dark - not much natural light. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well-equipped. The shower was possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel - fantastic! It was cleaned daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was free bottled water and cookies available to take out each morning. The buffet breakfast was $7.95 extra but was worth it and good value.
The room was a bit dark but that's a minor issue. The road outside could be a bit noisy if you were on the front of the building.

Location was much better than I expected. it's a safe working class area with many good restaurants nearby. No noise audible from inside the room. The room was very clean and well maintained. The bedding was excellent. I especially appreciate the cleaning staff as they took care of even the tiniest details during daily cleaning.
Didn't realize breakfast cost extra

Given that the hotel facilities were fairly new, it was a great and modern looking room. We were accommodated early as we requested and we saw how housekeeping cleaned the room and the result was really nice. Staff members were less accommodating than I would hope but they are still courteous. It was quiet and the location was pretty accessible.
The hallways were a little too tight but not really a big problem unless you’re lugging a lot of luggage like we were at the time. Wifi wasn’t really working as expected.

Everything! Felt luxurious, comfortable, large smart TV, very clean, hot breakfast included in the morning and snacks & drinks offered throughout the day. One of the best stays I’ve had in a hotel. And to top it off that it was totally economical. With all that you get, I would expect it to be extremely spendy but it wasn’t at all! Staff was wonderful too!
It was a bit noisy at night but it’s located on a busy street so it’s expected. That would not stop me from staying here.

Very well appointed and stylish rooms. Very comfortable bed, great shower, excellent lighting. Breakfast (and snack) room very convenient and never crowded. Appreciated the free coffee/tea and fruit/pastry snacks. Breakfast was extra cost, but a great value. All the staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The elevator was handy, and the secure (gated) parking much appreciated.
Rooms are smaller than American chain hotels/motels, with no extra seating except for a small chair at a small desk. No drawer space, but shelf space was adequate and wardrobe hangers plentiful. I'm sure the TV/entertainment system was fine, but this low-tech 85-year-old never figured out how to get local news (though I'm sure the staff would have helped if asked). Location was very convenient for our purposes, though in a high traffic and somewhat lower-end neighborhood.

We were skeptical at first because our room faced the street. However, the rooms are incredibly well insulated, so you really can't hear any traffic noise. The rooms are also beautifully furnished and elegantly equipped. A wonderful bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast room offers free fruit and snacks during the day and a small breakfast in the morning for a fee. 7eleven next door, taco stand opposite - you can stay here for a while.
I would have liked a small fridge in the room. Unfortunately, it was not possible for us to cool our provisions. Fortunately, there is a 7eleven right next door, so you can get chilled drinks here at any time. I would also have appreciated a kettle, but that should not be a point of criticism.
