It’s a beautiful property in the heart of Prince Alfred that is well maintained and centrally located.

Our room backed onto the staff area and that could get a bit noisy at times with staff speaking to each other out back. The rest was really awesome.

Quirky traditional Victorian style hotel but with modern amenities

The service was a little disjointed in that you had to order from specific areas. We were there only for one night and would have known more if we’d stayed on. We wanted coffee and brandy at the gin bar but had to order from two separate areas.The staff were very accommodating though and went out of their way to get our order. The young apprentice working by the pool area and gin bar in the evening was super helpful - hopefully he will go a long way within the hotel.

Comfortable, friendly and situated in the heart of the town.

Ladys Bar was closed on Wednesday evening. Redirected to the outside Gin Bar on the street veranda. Very uncomfortable cold and inappropriate for guests to relax in. After retiring from the dining room to the lounge, we found that the fire was not lit in hotel lounge. Had to find security to fetch wood and light a fire. Forced to consume our own drinks from our rooms as there was no bar service. Hotel lost out on sales from the lady's bar. One would expect that these basic services and amenities would be function in an establishment of this standing at all times.

The pool facility and the breakfast that was included were amazing. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at and easily the best breakfast. The hotel had everything from breakfast to dinner and even the Gin bar was fantastic

The room could have been more equipped. For example we didn't have a mini bar, instead we had to store things at the front desk which was not a problem. The TV in the room could be either moved closer to the bed or get a bigger one. It was almost impossible to see with the distance between the two.

The room was amazing! I did not expect the level of detail that the hotel provides! We had a coffee station with two rusks, a lot of coffee and tea packets, as well as enough milk. They also provide everything you need for mosquitos in the summer months, which I think is a great thing! The breakfast was also amazing - a very high quality menu to order from for your main breakfast meal, and then the croissants were just out of this world!

The only thing that can maybe improve is the coffee machine at breakfast. Not everyone enjoys filter coffee, and sometimes you feel like frothed milk with an espresso shot. But that is literally the only thing I can think of - this place is really a great small town hotel experience!

Room very spacious and staff always around which was nice. The dinner in the hotel was very good to be honest. The service was attentive and the quality of the food was surprisingly fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was enough but nothing over the top but everything is there thats needed.

We had room 2 which was right above the reception, unfortunately since the floors are from wood when the reception staff arrive they might want to keep a little bit more quiet as you can hear them as from early morning.

The Garden cottage was a great idea as it provided some additional space and convenience after a long bike ride, due to the balcony area. The pool was an absolute pleasure after a long hot ride. Supper was superb and the sirloin was one of my best steaks ever. What is also great about the Hotel is the opportunity to interact with a number f other people, such as foreign tourist, specially bike riders. It creates a great sense of camaraderie.

Beautifully old fashioned style hotel , with fully modernized facilities. Charming features , friendly staff , lovely ambience, great location in the middle of a beautifully safe ' small village' atmosphere . A throwback, to how life might have been 100 years ago , but with everything you need for a comfortable modern holiday.

Great Location. Felt part of the vibe but not loud and desturbing. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and professional. Like the fire and cosy comphy atmosphere in the lounge.

The side of the shouwer facing the rest of the bathroom - Thus the rest of bathroom floor got wet. Please change the glass pannel to be on the side between shower and basin. The drains was also a bit smelly.

The breakfast service is fantastic, with so many options and delicious coffee. The gin bar is a fantastic dinner spot as well. We stayed in a garden cottage for 2 nights, and the adjoining rondawels were lovely. The staff are all very helpful. The hotel has a spa that my daughter used for a treatment, and they are very welcoming and professional. There are so many lovely little spaces in the hotel including a deli, reading room, ladies bar, pool area, spa, coffee shop and curio shop.
