STAY HERE!!! What an amazing place! Gabby is the third generation owner--and she is also an outstanding chef! Her father is actively involved also and was happy to take us on a private guided boat tour of the canals...the old/original village. When you can stay and experience real culture, instead of the more "touristy" part of Giethoorn, why wouldn't you? All the rooms are unique...and ours had a "box bed" as well as a private courtyard. Gabby's food was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Don't miss walking around the old village--you will be amazed at these houses that have existed for so many many years.

The only thing I didn't like was failing to plan to stay longer. :)

Wow, the hospitality here is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. As a guest, you feel so welcomed and at home - the owner and the staff were all so authentic, kind, and patient. We were met with beautiful stories about Giethoorn and the history of the hotel. You can really feel the passion and pride from the owner and staff. I really appreciated the attention to detail, the open-mindedness, the emphasis on sustainable practices and supporting local agriculture, craftsmanship and traditions. This hotel was by far the highlight of our stay in Giethoorn. The breakfast was also the best I’ve ever had at any hotel stay!

Shower and toilet room could be more spacious, but honestly really fine!

The room was exceptional, with a lovely bath and veranda and really comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast exceeded our expectations. Both were wonderful, with a bag provided at breakfast to use to put any sandwiches we might want to make with the bread, rolls, meats or cheeses we hadn’t eaten. We also took the boat tour around Geithoorn which was well worth it. A really wonderful hotel.

The separate toilet was a little difficult as it is very small, and there is no wash hand basin in the toilet. This means that you have to leave the toilet and go into the bathroom to wash your hands. I don’t think this is very hygienic arrangement.

We absolutely loved our stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. The view from our room—and even from the bathtub—was breathtaking, and the breakfast was easily the best we've ever had. The combination of a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food at the hotel, along with the memorable boat trip, scenic walk, and our 50 km bike ride, made this a truly unforgettable experience.

Nothing at all, everything was nearly perfect.

A lovely experience at this property. Firstly, the staff are all wonderful ... very family style - friendly and helpful. They really made the stay special. My room was really unique with an old style bed which was super comfortable. My room also had a private courtyard which was pretty and lovely to relax in. The hotel itself is super clean and the patio a place you can really relax. Lots of birds, flowers and nature around. Perfectly situated right opposite is a bus stop so if you are coming in via public transport, it's ideal. Bus also goes into the village. Food was incredible. Breakfast was included and delicious. Special dinner was on the expensive side but homemade and generous and lovely. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!!

It was quite hot when I was there and there was no aircon in the room. Fortunately, I could leave the windows and doors open so there was a breeze but it is something to just be aware of.

We absolutely loved the breakfast and dinner that were served at the restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly, and very accommodating and flexible. We got some advice for where to go, and how to best get to the city center of Giethoorn. It was a very nice walk from the hotel, and we thought it was in the perfect location, as there were not too many tourists.

The only improvement would have been the Wi-Fi, as the Wi-Fi in our room did not connect at all. However, we didn't mind too much as we were also trying to get away from the stress of day-to-day life, and enjoyed the getaway from our phones.

Everything was perfect. Starting by the Staff, they were super welcoming and very friendly and polite and helpful. The room itself was very comfortable and romantic. The property is very beautiful. I recomend to take some pictures. For a staying in such a beautiful village like Giethoorn is, this property suits the event in a perfect way. We will come back during the Summer to visit Giethoorn again and obviously, we will come back to stay in De Dames Van De Jonge Hotel Restaurant. Thank you so much for a pleasent staying. Nothing to mention.

This place is a cozy family-run hotel and restaurant, right across the 70 Bus stop in Giethoorn - super easy to get around! Gaby, the owner and one of chiefs, is a lovely person and also a exper of Chinese culture since she has a great bond with China in business. The service is incredibly warm, friendly, and promptly responsive to help out. They really made us feel at home. The room is clean and get everything in it. The whole place is beautifully decorated. Most importantly, the food they serve are incredible. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and delicate. Once Gaby got a moment, she would come by say hi and introduce the dishes – a nice and crash course in Dutch food culture and we love it! You could choose eat inside or outside near the river. We did run into a little hiccup during our trip, but Gaby and her amazing team went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe and comfy stay. The place oozes with cultural vibes and a caring atmosphere, and their food is as authentic as it gets – a real highlight of our trip! We do hope we can come back and experience this hotel again in the future!

Steep Stairs might be unfriendly to the elderly.

Right from the arrival we felt as part as a family, Gabriella the owner came personally to welcome us, the room was fantastic, the view excellent. Dinner was one of the most amazing experiences we ever had, everything was a personalised creation, that is why no menu was available on the homepage ;) Highly recommend the stay there, you will not regret it.

The food!! Gaby is such an excellent chef, her food is absolutely amazing. We went to Giethoorn as we wanted to drive our own boat and they kindly arranged one for us :) all the staff there are so so nice and friendly. The comfort room was really nice! Air conditioning works well too :D

Not much actually. Our family had the standard rooms which didn’t have air conditioning nor much space for their luggage, but all else was great :)
