The staf was super nice! And the rooms were beautiful! Even in the hallways there was a beautiful mirror. I really loved the look of the whole place! The beds were super comfortable as always. And the fact that there were two bathrooms also came in handy. We all really enjoyed our stay and we were all very happy and had a great sleep.

We had the family room (so two connecting rooms), and it would have been great if both rooms had a television. Both rooms are practically the same besides that. So I kind off missed that. It also took a while to get the room warm. It was a pretty cold day and night so that could have something to do with it ofcourse.

The room was excellent including a bath, large and comfortable.Dinner was excellent, served by very friendly people and breakfast bright.The parking provided a safe place for our oldtimer, and the location was very quiet. The value for money balance was excellent.

First of all the room was very far from the reception,restaurant, elevator and terrace: at least 100 meters.But we asked for a quitet room, and we got it. Our main problem was that when we left three days earlier, we were confronted with a very sick dogkeeper, what obliged us to take our dog with us.The two first hotels agreed to have the dog in just for sleeping(he stayed in the car for the rest of the time f.e.dinner) but Van der Valk refused; he had to stay and sleep in the car. And that for a top hotel trademark; if I have to chose hotels, I will choose one which helps people to solve problems and attend tot clients confort.

The Hotel is in a calm location near a little harbour, so no noise at all during night or day. The room was a very good size, and the bed was just wonderfull (not too hard, not too soft, and most important it was really large and long). The breakfast was top with a large choice of warm and cold, salty and sweety. The restaurant has a nice menu with some local and international choices. But for me the best was the staff : The ladies and gentlemen from the service were just great. Very friendly, nice and good service. No problem with the language (i speak a little dutch, but they seem to speak all at least english). If I'm in the area again, you will for sure be my first choice.

Due to the location outside town, you need the car (or bicycle) to go in town

The lighting in the breakfast room was exceptional . Breakfast choice was extremely good with excellent service. The staff are well trained and very educated. The room was big and very comfortable. with two armchairs and a round table. Obviously as separate writing desk. Very comfortable bed and pillows. All top notch. Bathroom very big with separate bath and shower. A definite hotel to go back too. Highly recommended.

One small snag Lighting in the bathroom was dim. To shave properly one need good lighting specially on the mirror.

Its big - you can get lost. Felt like it was unpersonal ( sometimes ) but the kids were great. Really great -

I was in the “rear” end “ easier to go out the fire escape …. but there was a fire drill when i left … all closed. Just turn on the alarms . Could not get out. MANAGEMENT.

Nice clean room. Modern shower. Great view. Breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly people. Next to highway exit.

Not much to do in the direct vicinity. Even the nearby town, Emmeloord, has nothing to offer. Places a bit further away, Urk Schokland Lemmer, are really nice.

It’s a real shame you have radically changed the menu I had a fish first night and meat second night On both occasions 3 different potato dishes and hardly a vegetable in sight I would not recommend it for healthy eating

Nice area with good facilities. They have e-Bike and regular bike for renting. The staffs are helpful with good services in the dining room.

the price for e-Bike fee is too expensive

Size of the room. The full bathroom with bath and shower. The restaurant was also great.

There was no air conditioning in the room. The small fridge did not work and we had to get maintenance to bring a replacement.

Spacious apartments.

No privacy between the rooms in the apartment as they all connect to each other. One of the two bathrooms was not functional during our stay. The whole family had to share one bathroom.
