I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sri Embun Resort in Langkawi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The staff members were extremely friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The first thing that caught my attention upon entering the room was how impeccably clean it was. Both the room and the bathroom were spotless, which gave me a sense of comfort and relaxation throughout my stay. It was evident that the housekeeping staff took great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. The resort's swimming pool was a highlight for me. Although it was relatively small, it had a charming ambiance and was well-maintained. Taking a refreshing dip in the pool was a perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring the beautiful island. Moreover, the pool area offered a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for lounging and enjoying the sun. The location of Sri Embun Resort is another plus point. It is conveniently situated, just a short 10-minute walk from Pantai Cenang Beach. This proximity allowed me to easily access the beach whenever I desired, without having to rely on transportation. The resort's surroundings were pleasant and serene, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling tourist areas. One particular amenity that I found extremely convenient was the drinking water kiosk near the reception. They offered both hot and cold water, which was a thoughtful addition. It was especially useful for filling up water bottles before heading out for the day, saving me the hassle of purchasing water elsewhere. While the resort provided good Wi-Fi connectivity, it's worth noting that the network was unsecured. For those concerned about online security, it is advisable to use a VPN while accessing the internet. This will ensure your personal information remains protected.

The only downside I encountered during my stay was the limited TV channel options. The TV in the room only offered local channels, which may be disappointing for guests looking for international entertainment or news. However, considering the array of other enjoyable activities available in Langkawi, this minor inconvenience can easily be overlooked.

Location was perfect. It is close to Cenang Beach, about 5 mins walk away. Else, if it is directly along Cenang Beach, we think it will be too noisy at night with all the traffic. We also like the cleanliness, comfort and huge size of the room.

Nothing to dislike.

The location was perfect. Rooms were spotless and the pool was a nice touch when we wanted to cool off. Around a 5 minute walk up the road to the main part where shops and restaurants are. Staff were so nice help us organise two trips and serviced our room twice and gave us water and extra toiletries every time and fresh towels. I would stay here again it was perfect.

Nothing I didn’t like, I would just be careful if you are slightly older as the bathroom is a wet room so floor can be slippy. But we did not have a problem with it.

The very friendly Receptionist kindly let us check in early as the room was available. Really appreciated this. The room was spacious and clean with a large bathroom. There was seating area at the back of the room to sit outside if you wanted to. The location was brilliant, about a 5 min walk to the centre and the beach. We also used the pool. Would stay again. Great value for money.

The room was painted a brown colour so this made the room quite dark. Needed to draw the curtains as neighbours walked passed at the rear. I personally think it would be better & brighter with walls painted white. The rear door had a catch so the door could open slightly but in saying that we felt secure.

We had a wonderful stay at The Sri Embun Resort. The room was clean and tidy, and the toilet was well-maintained. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. It was truly great value for the price we paid. The only area that could be improved is the television in the room, as it was not functioning during our stay. However, aside from that minor issue, everything else was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort and would be happy to return.

We came for 9 nights, because we wanted to also have time for some work. Luckily, the wi-fi was pretty fast, good enough for having online calls with clients. Location of hotel is like 5 minutes from the beach and Cenang Mall, which is kind of city centre. There are machines for filtered water in the lobby, which was very useful. You also get some bottled water with every cleaning of your room. Unfortunaley, we did not use the pool, but it looked fine :)

Nothing worth mentioning :)

Starting with the basics: Room was quite spacious (2 double beds) - can be a bargain for a family or larger groups. Beds were comfy enough and on the bigger queen size part. A/C was strong - could adjust your sleep around heat, etc. with it, and combined with the no noise part enjoy a good night's sleep. There's a mini-fridge, a mini-balcony and a spacious bathroom to complement the above. Enough towels, toilet paper, water, etc. were provided to keep you happy. Location is great really (a stone's throw from the 'dead beach road center' - like a 4' walk.

The room is quite dark (to the point that it often feels as if it has no window). The door to the balcony is also a bit 'tricky' as it doesn't exactly lock , just has an internal metal hook on the inside - making it feel a little unsafe (more for your things I'd imagine). Didn't get any room cleaning on 3 nights (no feelings from me - you can be the judge based on your own preferences). And one other 'annoying' part was that the moment you pull out the key card (which you need to as it's your key), electricity is killed in your room on the spot - which effectively means no mini-fridge. Lastly, the service, although polite felt a bit impersonal.

The price, the comfort of our room, the necessary facilities that we seek example iron board, parking, pool, hot water are provided. Staff are friendly.

Room service is only provided before 1 pm. We requested a room service around 1++ pm after forgot to place the make my room tag at the door. The servicing lady was there with her trolley but still insist not doing it. Check in is at 3.00 pm. I wonder why room service only provide before 1 pm because check out is before 12 pm. Still got time to provide room service before next check in correct. Management to revisit this.

Location was good (<10 mins talk to the beach) Simple single-storey motel with a nice swimming pool. Two double beds was good. Water cooler at reception to avoid buying water every time Comfortable beds and pillows. Free sweets at reception. Swimming pool is never really 'closed' - you can swim early in the morning or late at night and no-one will trouble you. Room is cleaned as often as you need it cleaned.

There was a festival next door for the first week we were there and the music was very loud (This was out of the control of the hotel but none the less it disrupted our stay) The tiles in the pool can be sharp and dangerous. All the rooms open onto the same corridor and noise travels down that corridor very well. You can hear anyone checking out early/noisily.

The room was perfect and the staff really helpful. The only 2 downsides are probably that the room was a little dark due to a brown colour of the walls and the shower was in the middle of the bathroom with to curtain rail etc so everything got wet in the room. Other than this the property was perfect especially for the value
