The hotel was very modern with nice and simple interior. The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. I really enjoyed the big selection of breakfast provided every day and was impressed with the in room dining menu and pool.

The cleanliness can definitely improve and facilities need to be more consistent with cleaning and providing amenities. Apart from doing the bed each day nothing else was really cleaned nor sheets were changed, I stayed for 4 nights. There was toothpaste marks on the mirror from the previous people. The hotel rooms really needs to be sound proofed. I was given a room by the lift so can hear the lift bell all day. I can also hear the people in the next room to me whilst they were playing their games, talking, having a shower. The walls are ridiculously thin.

Very big rooms, good breakfast and gym.

The pool is open until 22:00 on weekdays and until 23:00 on weekends. The noise from the pool and the bad acoustic from the open bar, makes the noise unbearable to sleep. The average decibel in the room with closed balcony and only AC working was 55DB, and in the balcony it was 72DB and max 78DB. I could here the music and people loud talks and Karaoke from the bar, inside my room and in the hallway. Obviously the hotel’s square shape around the pool creates echoes, which demands significant acoustic adjustments to minimize in rooms noise and maximize the silence in the rooms. Overall and other than that, the room was clean and big (unfortunately the coffee mugs wasn’t replaced from previous gusts and had lipstick stains), good breakfast and good location.

The hotel is fairly new, rooms are big and clean, bed are big and comfy. The bathroom has a helpful faucet with purified water which is very helpful e.g. to brush your teeth. Breakfast (we booked it additionally) was very good and abundant. The pool is very nice, although in the afternoon it is almost completely in the shadow.

The position is not really optimal, you have to walk a lateral street of the mall, and the view from the hotel is really bad, on one side you have basically nothing, in front of the hotel there is a material storage, and the restaurant and its terrace if facing exactly there - overall you do not get really the idea to be in a sea location. The location is constantly evolving, new building are being built nearby, waiting for a tourism explosion in the area. However, IMO, the Mercure is one of the best hotel in the area, you have then to see if the area is for you or not.

A cosy hotel with a small but well appointed lobby / lounge which was breezy. The hotel staff especially Syaz ( at the poolside lounge )were exceptional. The location of the hotel was spot on. Many points of interest were nearby. Rooms were spacious, well-kept and were soundproofed well. Food & beverage prices were reasonable considering the locale the hotel was situated in.

There was an option for an express clothes pressing service, which if we didn’t insist on it being completed within the stipulated 6 hours, my wife’s clothes would’ve arrived the next day/ very much later in the day than needed.

Swimming pool decking got very hot....you needed footwear to get to and from the pool. Not enough sunbeds and no parasols which would probably help hot decking problem and offer much needed shade for lazing by the pool and especially for children. A rail would help to get in and out of the pool near the water spouts! More international food variety at breakfast would be good and finally most towels had seen much better days - our bathroom ones were dated 2019 and had worn very thin.

The room was nice and spacious, and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! The bathroom was a good size, with a large shower that provided hot water quickly if needed. Despite a building being in the way, the sea view is still great, particularly in the evening if skies are clear for sunset, and we were even able to glimpse the fire shows on the beach. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Great location, right in the heart of the action in Pentai Cenang.

The slow service; a good example of this would be one evening when I had dinner in the restaurant. There were only a few customers, yet it still took over 30 minutes to bring the food I ordered.

Great location, within walking distance of the beach and shops. The room was spacious and clean.

The breakfast did not have many options and did not cater to all needs. The pool rules need updating to include no eating by the pool or on the tables. Rooms need an outdoor courtyard or balcony to be able to dry clothes and a table to be able to eat. Staff need to be more responsive to customers calls and requests as one of ours was ignored. The hotel needs to update their booking system to advise people that the single bed that they think they are getting is in fact a pull out sofa with very minimal padding and if you require an actual bed you will need to pay each night for it.

This was our 2nd time staying here and would definitely come back again. Staff are always polite and helpful. Location is excellent. Rooms are lovely. We spoke to reception one day as our room hadn't been cleaned. Next day we came back to the room from the beach to find a gorgeous basket of fruit in our room with compliments from the staff.

Our only complaint would be that there was only a wardrobe. No shelves or drawers. He hung up what we could but had to live out of a suitcase with the rest.

Nothing short of a great holiday at Langkawi. Right next to Cenang beach 2 minutes to be exact. Management was very helpful with regards to all the aspects of accommodation and getting things done. Breakfast was amazing having lots of variety and especially the egg station with Chief Farid make some delicious poached eggs and they even gave us hash browns which weren't in the menu.

We just had a small episode of having some cockroaches in our room which was triple bed but the duty manager Mr. Saad accommodates us with new room although a bit small we asked him to disinfect our room. Apology cake was also sent to us on behalf of the management which was very kind of them.

The hotel is in a great location and the pool area is really nice. Staff are friendly and attentive. All questions were answered promptly and I had a really comfortable stay overall.

Some things could perhaps be modernised a bit. For example, the TV in the room could be updated to allow for casting content from one’s phone/laptop. Currently, only a limited selection of films and other content can be accessed, making the TV a bit redundant. Cleanliness was good but could be better especially in the corridors/common areas.
