The location is in an area considered less safe by the locals, but is near all the government buildings and lawyers or notaries. It is at the busier end of the road called 'Cerrito'. Supermarkets and shops are on the doorstep.

No microwave or tea/coffee maker in the room, but there was a fridge. TV was wobbly and did not work. When you complain, the corrective work is either superficial, or you are ignored. The colourful bottles in the breakfast area are empty, used for decorative purposes, but can mislead those who like a drink into thinking that a bar operates there. The buffet breakfast was a good touch, but remember that Uruguay is relatively expensive in Latin America and so the variety on offer is limited.

The Wifi is one of the best parts of this hotel. It is really strong, and I never lost connection. The room itself was small but well-kept with good shower pressure and clean facilities. It is in a safe location with easy access to major bus lines and the port if one decides to take the Buquebus ferry to Buenos Aires. The breakfast is comprehensive with some great options. The staff are extremely friendly, and I appreciate that one can use the room key to unlock the front door.

The pillows were a little flat and the walls are thin, so one can hear boisterous people in the hallway (although this wasn't too bad). The shower also took a little bit of time to get warm, so be prepared to wait. Finally, the staff may not always be at the front desk, so I had to wait 5 minutes after my arrival to be let into the building, but I appreciate that they have a luggage storage room.

I like the room, it was very spacious and clean, the bed was very confortable. The breakfast was very big and delicious. The staff was really kind and helpfull. I highly recommend this place, I'll stay one more time no doubt.

The location was great to start the tour around the city, however the arounds looked a little unsafe because it was located in downtown and during the weekends there's no many locations open. The plus was the restaurants near Puerto Mercado.

It was clean and economical, and close to the ferry terminal for easy access. It is also within walking distance of the main Indepenance square and has good bus connection to the rest of the city and the beaches.

The breakfast was very basic, and the coffee had an odd flavour. It is not the hotels fault, of course, but the gentrification of the area into pedestrian walkways is set back by the huge amounts of ugly graffitti over everything - but graffitti seems to be everywhere we went throughout Montevideol

Comfortable room and hot shower, suitable for short stay.

Bed was very soft and pillows were rather old. Bathroom door is incredibly noisey when opening/shutting as glass pane within frame is loose and could easily shatter on hotel guests. Nearby tattoo parlour plays loud music to early hours (unsure if normal occurrence or due to Halloween), either way bass could be heard through to early hours of morning.

It included a breakfast i liked. The receptionist was very helpful helping me setup the SIM card in my phone. It helped a lot. The location is very close to the Mercado for tourists and also tourist gift shops. Shop across the road closes at midnight, so very handy for quick snacks and drinks later at night. Bus stops nearby take you to the centre of Montevideo.

Would be good if the shower was more spacious, was difficult being a taller man.

The hotel itself is a nice hotel with all you need. The room is comfortable and quiet. I slept great. Staff is curtious and helpfull. Breakfast good. The good thing about the location is that it's just 200 meters from the ferry terminal from Buenos Aires.

The only negative thing is also the location, which is in the old city harbor district. There are a lot of beggars. Most of them are harmless, some even polite, but some are aggressive, when they find out that you are not Latin American. I experienced this several places in Montevideo, but especially in the old city.

Location and staff. Francisco went out of his way to help us with getting acquainted with the area. He also suggested a couple of great restaurants and set up a tour of the city. Breakfast was unusual but good-a lot more sweets than we are accustomed to. Within walking distance of the ferry terminal.

We initially chose this hotel due to its perfect location - walking distance from the port, since we travelled by ferry, and fast internet. The internet speed was excellent, no interruptions. WiFi worked really well in our room as well as in the lobby. Upload speed was more than 40 mbps and download exceeding 30 mbps - webinars and video conferences worked really smoothly. The room was very comfortable, the view was enjoyable - we saw the rooftops and some ferries in the distance - thus we were able to do some shipspotting. We adored the fountain in the small garden - it helped us fall asleep and calmed us. In the morning, we were greeted by some beautiful birds, but they were quiet. TV has a large selection of channels, even English speaking ones. Breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! Every time there was a new element, the variety was incredible. We would like to thank the team for their hard work! There have always been plenty of wonderful fresh delicious treats that kept us full until evening. Moreover, there was a supermarket "Frog" just 10 meters from the hotel that accepted both dollars and pesos where we also found some tasty food. All hotel staff were very friendly to us - the gentlemen at the reception helped us a lot and the ladies who were administering the cafeteria and exceptional cleanliness in the hotel were very hospitable towards us. We will definitely stay here again!

The room was clean,comfortable and serviced daily.Sleep quality was excellent.The location was perfect-in the heart of the Ciutad Vieja and close to all the sights there.I want to compliment the staff who were most helpful-Francisco,Oscar and Reuben,as well as the excellent ladies who prepared breakfast each morning... Top marks....10 out of 10.
