The staff was very helpful, and because we are returning guests, they even upgraded us to a lux room, and I really appreciated that they always take care of my requests for additional pillows, for having a room with a bathtub rather than a shower stall, etc. The breakfast in this hotel is consistently one of the better ones in the area. The location of the hotel is just perfect for the Old Town, just a few steps from the Town Hall and the Cathedral.

The glass in the bath is insufficient to prevent splashing water when one showers, a proper shower curtain would probably be better. There was a corporate event taking place, and the common bathrooms were quite messy, although I have to point out that the private ones in the rooms are very clean.

The location is quite central, very close to everything in the Old Town. The hotel itself and the room we were assigned, including the bathroom, were surprisingly spacious, the bed was big and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was quite varied, and the staff was very kind.

The flipside of the hotel's location is that, although the hotel itself is on a quiet side street, there are noisy inebriated people passing by outside the window at night or even coming into the hotel, we witnessed the police having been called by the hotel staff to help deal with one such drunkard, but hopefully that is a rare occurrence. The towels seem to be worn out thin. The bottom of the bathtub was a bit slippery, they need to either install some texture or provide a non-slip mat. It would have been nice to have a two-person blanket instead of having separate blankets for me and my spouse... There should be at least a way to boil tea in each room, we had to ask the staff for a tea kettle. The price bites a bit, but that, of course, depends on one's budget.

It was near everything. Just a show walk away from the Old City and a lot of places that were worth seeing, and only 20-30 minutes away from the airport. The room was more spacious than we thought it would be, and it was very clean. The bath was a great surprise too. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

There were no insect screens on the windows, and we couldn't ventilate the room because of it. The bread at the breakfast was kind of stale, but other than that the breakfast was quite fine.

The location is great. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever seen in terms of variety and amount. The staff is very nice, they even printed something for me.

The central heating was not turned on yet (I know it's up to the city, but the person who picked up the phone didn't tell me about this when I called earlier to ask how cold it is in order to decide how warm I need to pack, just told me the temperature of the room he was seeing on the screen), and it was hard to find a balance between keeping the room warm and airing it out.

We had a party of seven for a weekend city break and the Daugirdas Hotel made our visit to Kaunas an even better experience. The hotel, its staff and all the requests we had made was fulfilled. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold choices. The location is right alongside the river and is in an excellent position to start exploring this lovely city. I would certainly book the Daugirdas Hotel again and also recommend it to anyone.

Not the first time here. Great location, comfy beds, has air con. What else could you want. I came over for a gig at Kaunas Oldman so location was the most important thing when choosing where to stay. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Old Town.

Breakfast is not the best, but it is common in Lithuania. The only place is the Shakespeare hotel in Vilnius that does it right. Would stay there just to get brekky.

I liked the antiquity of it. The bedroom is extremely comfortable access was very easy. beautifully placed in the old centre of the town very clean and a good breakfast

I didn’t think the people reception desk were particularly charming or helpful. A smile and greeting is always a positive experience, these were distinctly missing.

We stayed at Daugirdas for one night. And this stay was a good one. Hotel personel was really nice and competent. Room was clean, absolutely nothing to complain about. Soundproof really worked. We heard absolutely no sound from busy bridge, nearby streets - even neighbours going/talking, elevator opening/closing. That's an example of how soundproof rooms shouls work like. We really enjoyed bath, since most hotels keep showers only. Room had also TV (had no time to watch) and minibat, as well as kett;e. Breakfast on holidays is served from 08:00 to 10:30. It was tasty and good, I expected a bit more choices though. Coffee was good one (for those who complain about coffee). Pity, had no time to test local restaurant, since it closed earlier (it was national holiday). Overall, I enjoyed this stay and could stay at Daugirdas for next time.

Disclaimer: Daugirdas is a good 4* hotel and I enjoyed my stay. These are just some notes on what could have been even better. Conditioning. Room had air conditioner, but it seemed to work not as expected. It was already turned for maximum heating, yet room was a bit chill. There was an electric heater which we turned on full power. Even that did not help - room was still bit chill. Bathroom was told to have heated floor - and it was heated in some places. In other places it was not heated. So, if I was in position to advice hotel owner - I would advice improving conditioning. Normally, air conditioner should be enough to regulate climate in the room.

Spacious room with plenty of space to store stuff. The bathroom was also a decent size. Our room had one completely glass wall opening out onto a balcony and a lovely view of a church. The whole hotel had a lovely airy layout. The location was great for the town square and restaurants (less so for public transport).

The coffee with breakfast was the worst that I have ever tasted! The reception staff weren't very friendly. We couldn't make the air conditioning work. There were no tea/coffee making facilities.

Heated floor in bathroom and the bathroom facilities were amazing. The sheer size of the room and the accommodating staff who helped us when we arrived a little earlier than check in. The breakfast choice was exceptional for a buffet and provided a huge variety for everyone

We had a small issue that our cards to the room didn't work after we had been to breakfast but the staff handled the situation extremely well and got us back in very quickly.
