The food was great, the activities were great. The beds were very comfortable. The views were beautiful

The balconies were not cleaned (monkey poop) housekeeping did not replenish our milk so we were unable to make coffee in the room. I called reception to assist but no one came. Electric blankets would be good in winter. N9 gown or slippers

-The X-scape staff should up there game. We were meant to go to a boat cruise and they said we should leave our number they will call us before it happens. The boat cruise happened and they didn’t call us. When we called to check if was it still happening and they said the boat already left?. We were really not happy about that because we were promised to be checked. -The pamphlet says that we meet at X-scape only to find out that we meet at the boat house and we almost missed the cruise for the second time. The pamphlets should be updated for proper directions.

The breakfast and dinners were excellent - catering to all needs with a splendid variety for everyone every day. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the peacefulness and tranquility of the resort is well appreciated

The Xscape game room facility - could use a revamp and upgrade as it is dated and the activities for the kids are limited. The gaming equipment was not in the best condition. Some dedicated level of childcare / guided play could also be considered for those parents who wish to have a night out or take drinks at the bar.

I celebrated my crown birthday at Drakensberg Sun over the weekend and wow did the hotel go out of their way to help make it special. I love how friendly and welcoming staff at the hotel are. Everything is clean and well maintained. The resort offers alot of entertainment and activities for people of all ages so it isn't necessary to leave the resort.

The pillows in the hotel are quite uncomfortable if you prefer more support. The bathrooms in the hotel could be upgraded. The buffet offered at breakfast and dinner, specifically the dinner buffet- the standard of food served needs to be looked at.

A Memorable Stay at Drakensberg I can confidently say it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable experiences I’ve had. We been there so many times in winter and I have to admit that summer was also a beautiful experience The resort’s location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and tranquil natural beauty that instantly puts you at ease. The accommodation was both comfortable and well-maintained, with thoughtful amenities that made the stay feel luxurious. I appreciated the clean rooms. The staff deserve special mention for their warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness. Every team member we interacted with went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, from check-in to dining and activities. Speaking of dining, the food options were varied and delicious. The chefs was so kind and friendly and came to our table and advised us about Saturday nights menu. The wonderful and kind man who cooked the crab curry I have to add that I never ate crab curry in a restaurant before! it looked and tasted absolutely delicious it was the best thing I could have done. It was the best crab curry I ever had just wow and I cannot thank you enough . I thoroughly enjoyed the hiking trails, which were well marked and offered spectacular scenery. our overall stay was fantastic. I highly recommend Drakensberg Sun for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a stunning location with exceptional service. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special we’ll definitely be back

Our recent family getaway to the breathtaking Drakensberg Sun Resort in South Africa was an unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst the majestic Drakensberg mountains, the resort offered stunning views, serene landscapes, and a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We spent our days exploring scenic hiking trails, enjoying the tranquility of the lake, and indulging in the resort’s delightful cuisine. The kids loved the recreational activities, while the adults appreciated the peace and connection with nature. Evenings were spent bonding over board games and sharing laughter around the cozy fireplace.

Everything was excellent and top - there is nothing we say we didn't like - it was a lovely place.

All good but soft eggs too raw at times

Staff were generally excellent in courtesy and efficiency. However, on one occasion in the dining room, a waitress leaned across my space to remove my spouse's plate, and then later tried to take his plate before he had finished but, the final straw was when she pulled out the signed slip for drinks and asked loudly whether we had credit, as if we were trying to dodge paying. I made it clear that we pay all when we leave as we have done in many other hotels. It was not only embarrassing, it was totally inappropriate. I can only imagine she had missed some of the training as the rest of the staff were good.

The location is excellent. The staff friendly, well groomed, presentable, and accomodating. The room was clean and tidy. The beds were very confortable and the linen of an excellent quality.The view was 'heavenly'. The food was plentiful and there was a good variety. I will recommend staying at the drakensburg Sun. I hope yo be back some day.

There was a small issue when asking for a second cup of coffee at one meal time. I feel that paying 2k per person per day that there should be at least 2 cups of coffee available per person at meal times, (Or bottomless coffee).The beverages were a little more expensive compared to other pubs.

Cleanliness. Friendly welcoming staff. Food excellent. Environment too good. We enjoyed 7.5 km hike/walk and your Zebra started walking with us and it stopped when we stopped. Followed us when we start again. It was amazing like it was our guardian and it came back to the hotel with us. It was amazing 👏

Our wine glass was taken away by the cleaner knowing very well that glasses were not supplied in our room. We came with our wine glasses 🍷. We did not get it back regardless of reporting and that was very unfortunate. Hopefully we will get it wen we go back.

I only eat fruits for breakfast, especially fruit salad and a cup of coffee. Your fruit salad could have been done much better by adding a different types of fruits that you have. However, the waiters did their best to make this better.

The issue about my prior arrangements to chance dinner to lunch due to a function we were attending dinner time, nearly pointed my stay. However, with Cindy's intervention with proof that this was approved saves that day.
