The staff were so lovely, every single one of the staff, even the gardeners, kept an eye out for our well being. This place is just so relaxing and peaceful, with views of the mountains over a pond, a destination in itself and it really is a place to rest. The room (we stayed in the garden room) was very comfortable, with a great fireplace, and an amazing comfortable bed and luxurious bedding. Cleopatra also prides itself on their gourmet food, and I'm always a tad skeptical, but the meals (dinner and breakfast) were well presented, thoughtful and most importantly, really delicious. That bread basket is scrumptious! I would be back in a heartbeat.
The layout of the room necessitated the toilet and shower being in a different section from the main bedroom and the bath. Not a big deal. New hairdryer probably needed (I forgot to tell them).

The cuisine was excellent which includes breakfast and dinner. The service from Caster and Thabiso was first class. Well done to the Chef and all the staff who manage and maintain this establishment. The location of the establishment in the valley between the Lebanon and Cleopatra mountains is magical.
There could have been a microwave in the room. A Nespresso-type coffee machine for the room would have been a bonus ! A complete DSTV bouquet, instead of a limited choice, would be nice. But, Kudos to Bronwyn and Caster for ensuring I did not miss the MotoGP or Springbok rugby events.

At Cleopatra Farmhouse every possible effort is made to provide guests with the highest standard of comfort. This is evident in the room where you find soft bathrobes and slippers, everything to have a toasty fire in the wood burner, a wide range of magazines. And much more, but I will not spoil the surprises. Food is a high priority for this hotel, with scones, cake and coffee available. The presentation of the evening meal is key to the appreciation of the detail of each course.

Loved the location, food and hospitality was amazing. A perfect place to relax and unwind. Birdlife is amazing and lots to explore in the area. Will be back for sure.
Unfortunately, the condition of the roads is very bad, which adds time to the trip. However good to see their are roadworks in progress which is a big plus.

Everything was great - location perfect, kitchen well stocked with utensils, very peaceful
in the main downstairs bedroom, the bed just fits into the room, making it quite difficult if you are tall to maneuver around the bedroom.

River run cottage was excellent located with superb views of the mountains. A lot of attention was given to detail in providing for every possible need. We had our dinners in the main lodge and it was outstanding. The staff were v friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, tranquil and well kept. Whole area is lovely. Road to get there was awful. Lots of potholes, but I believe work on it is in progress.
Better selection on white wines, and more choices. We drank a Sauvignon Blanc of 2019.

Awesome venue Lovely accomodation. The condition of the roads to the property are very bad with multiple deep potholes and gravel making the risk for punctures high. Wish we had been informed about this by the property.

Exceptional food! Amazing scenery and walks within close range Starry skies on cloudless nights were incredible
The roads to and from the hotel were challenging, especially after the rain! Won't stop me returning when I'm next in the country but I'll get a 4-wheel drive car the next time!
