The room was large and comfortable and very nicely appointed. The huge bed was nice and firm and comfortable and an electric blanket was provided and used as it was cold at night. Coffee/tea making equipment was provided and was very welcome. There was a big patio directly outside our door with a nice view of the garden which was full of various birds. Anything we needed was sorted out promptly with no fuss. The breakfast was suberb and Koos and Lorraine were very good hosts and made us feel welcome. I very much would recommend a stay there you can't go wrong.

A small gripe was that the shower lacked a caddy to hold the soap etc but we were assured that that would be addressed asap. No further problems were encountered.

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge! Lorraine and Chris are absolutely lovely..so friendly and welcoming, which really made the experience feel like home. Communication was super easy via WhatsApp, and Lorraine sending the GPS location in advance was incredibly helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the comfortable bed made for a great night’s sleep. The property felt very secure, which gave me real peace of mind throughout my stay. Lorraine and Koos made us feel incredibly welcome at the very pretty Notting Hill Lodge. Conveniently located on the Midlands Meander route, we easily accessed all the goodies available on the route, always returning to our comfortable rooms every afternoon. Open fire, a cozy vibe and delicious breakfasts every day. We will definitely be back the next time we do the Midlands Meander. Thanks, Lorraine and Koos. xo

Not a thing.

The hosts were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Despite the unexpected rain preventing us from using the braai facilities, we appreciated the fact that they made all the utensils available to us. The hosts even arranged closer rooms for our children, bringing our family closer together. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a delightful variety and excellent value for money. The communal area provided a perfect space for spending time with the family we traveled with. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the well-maintained swimming pool, and the availability of a spacious fridge made storing our food hassle-free. Overall, a wonderful experience with welcoming hosts and fantastic amenities.

While we thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of our stay, it's worth noting that the toilet had a very slow water inlet, causing a constant flow of water that was audible both at night and during the day. However, in the grand scheme of things, this is a minor issue compared to the numerous positive experiences we had.

Our hosts were lovely and so friendly. Very happy to entertain our children’s contestant chatter! There were toys for the kids to play with which was a great bonus! They gave us lots of great recommendations for restaurants as well.

We couldn’t get the kettle in our room to work, not sure what was wrong but we went and got coffee from the breakfast room.

Nottinghill Lodge is set in the most beautiful large garden, close to Notties and Michaelhouse. We stayed in The Stables a family unit that was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The electric blankets and wall heaters kept us cosy during a really cold snap while we were there.

The breakfast the host prepared was exquisite! The coffee was phenomenal. Lorraine and Koos are absolutely lovely and we’ve already booked our next stay. There are tons of books to choose from should you wish to read. There are also board games to enjoy with your family! It honestly feels like a home away from home!

Sadly we didn’t have great weather which is completely out of the host’s control, however they still made our stay absolutely wonderful.

Beautiful place, warm owners, clean, comfortable bed , great location (only 4 mins to Michaelhouse) and great full English breakfast!

Ummm.... only the WiFi connection for some rooms are not good enough. And hot water issue, better shower or bath earlier than your neighbors. All others are excellent!

We stayed in a very private outside suite which had a small lounge, bedroom and en-suite bathroom which a huge shower. Had a great breakfast in the morning too. The room had an oil heater and the bed had electric blankets which helped for the very cold night. Our host, Hein, was very friendly and informative.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

We didn't get a chance to enjoy the catered side of this little hidden treasure - but we absolutely loved our little space, the beds were super comfy, the space was clean, spacious and so beautiful. We have no complaints whatsoever.
