The room had everything needed for a work or casual stay. The little kitchen was perfect and the team went the extra mile with small touches like cotton wool and earbuds as well as toiletries. I would definitely recommend staying here again and again! Late check in procedure is so easy to follow. And the view!!!!!!! Gorgeous! P.S it’s pet friendly too 🤍

Not a problem for me, but with some travellers please be sure to ask about stairs before booking if this is not something you can do. I can say the stairs are kind to your knees if this is a worry

I run a restaurant and so am critical. Gateside's breakfast choice is spot on. The preparation and delivery exactly matched my order: the English breakfast was excellently cooked and not everyone gets eggs just right. I have stayed in many guesthouses/B&Bs over the years and gateside is right up there at the top. As a visitor to Hilton, the location is excellent, within walking distance of most required places.

I find it difficult to find any aspect that did not either meet or exceed my expectations.

View was incredible, lovely braai area and balcony. The host was friendly and accommodating. It had everything we needed and exceeded expectations

The upstairs shower had very weak water pressure. The upstairs room had the strong smell of paint throughout the visit.

The breakfast was excellent, if a little expensive for what we personally ate. I'd suggest pricing per item would be fairer.

One of the occupants in an adjoining room smoked continuously on the second night and the stink of their cigarettes filled our room, which we did not enjoy at all. The dormer windows made the space around the bed for someone taller than usual a little cramped.

Very spacious and neat. We had our own private braai area. The garden is beautiful and the view is stunning! The staff and manager/ owner are really friendly and we ha a warm welcome. It is close to all the shops you need for groceries and restaurants as well. Had a great stay and will definitely come again.

The place is well located, we did not have to travel far to find places to eat.

the place was spotless when we arrived but not well cleaned on Saturday and Sunday. There was dirt left behind after cleaning was done, under the couch and the carpet was not cleaned properly.

Very beautiful place. Neat,clean and convenient location. The rooms had absolutely everything one could think of for a comfortable stay. We were very impressed by the thought that has gone into the finer details. We received a warm welcome and send off.

One has to purchase tokens to use the airconditioning. There is only one shaded seating area near the swimming pool. We made ourselves comfortable and was thereafter politely asked to move as it was reserved for another family. That did disappoint as my father is almost 70 years old and had to move to a sunny part of the garden.

The whole experience was perfect. Even with the unusual circumstances of heavy winds & power failures in the area. Generator backup, great communication & very friendly staff. Beautiful property & convenient location.

Well situated. Quiet neighbourhood. Bed comfortable.

The cottage you can only book for a family not a group as you can hear every movement and sound throughout the house as people walk around or talk. The individual rooms in the main house are totally private.

Their facilities are all in order, from the kitchen to the bathrooms . Nice and serene neighborhood and very friendly staff members. Its a beautiful accommodation just as in the pictures.

The hosts are not so friendly, treated us like schoolkids. Told us they normally host “ well educated people”, like are were there to validate our proffessions? Also the stairs are squeaky so they make noise as you go up or down. You not even allowed to take pictures with your sealed champagne bottle by the pool area. This made our stay there stale.
